"Are you going to be responsible when we all die!? If I don’t get this message to the overlord, every world in this domain is going to be eradicated from existence!"

Varon shouted in a loud voice that made multiple people in the hallway turn towards him in surprise! They all knew that making a scene in front of the overlord’s office was a serious offence, and you could even end up in jail for it! So the fact that Varon was so energetic made them feel like he was really about to bring news of the apocalypse itself!

The guard standing there stepped forward, and he was about to arrest Varon for the disrespect, but the door suddenly opened, and a woman appeared.

"What is going on here?"

The woman had a scowl on her face and an imposing aura around her! This was the Overlord’s right-hand woman and the secretary in charge of handling most of the minor tasks around the floating castle! Once the guards saw her, they saluted, and one of them immediately gave her an explanation for the disturbance!

"This surveyor wishes to see the overlord for a report. We already told him that he would need to have an appointment, but he insists that it is important."

The woman looked away from the guard and stared at Varon curiously! Varon was breathing heavily, and he had a mad look in his eyes, like he had seen the devil itself in his bedroom, and he wouldn’t leave here unless they allowed him to report it to the overlord! The file in Varon’s hand was shaking from his intensity, and the woman decided that anyone who was this desperate to see the overlord had to have a good reason.

"It’s alright. Let him in."

The woman gave this order while moving to the side, and the guards both saluted respectfully before making space for Varon to enter! Varon bowed his head respectfully to the woman before he entered the room! And the moment he entered, Varon felt his entire body lock up in shock as he saw more than fifteen people turn their eyes in his direction! The entire cabinet of the overlord was present in the room, and they had been having a meeting before Varon’s loud voice disturbed them from outside!

The overlord was sitting at the head of the table, and he stared Varon down with a heavy gaze that nearly sent Varon to his knees! Just being in this room was like standing under the weight of ten buildings! The sheer magical power in the air was like a physical thing holding Varon down! Overlord Kalum waved his hand towards Varon before speaking in a calm voice.

"You say you have something for me, young man?"

Varon swallowed nervously, and he steeled himself! Varon had come here for something far more important than whatever had been going on in this meeting, so he needed to express himself properly and warn the overlord of the danger! Varon walked forward slightly and bowed to the cabinet of leaders before he spoke.

"My name is Varon, and I am a surveyor in charge of the Eastern Dariana Illumis Section of this domain. I have been keeping constant vigilance over the worlds in that section, but recently there has been a serious matter that I believe the overlord has to be made aware of immediately!"

Varon walked forward to give the overlord the file in his hand, but another man stood up and stopped Varon in his tracks. The man stretched his hand out for the file, and Varon handed it to him submissively before stepping back. The man handed the file over to the overlord himself, and Overlord Kalum hummed as he opened the reports and began to look through them calmly! It took close to three minutes for the overlord to look through all the files, and although his expression was very calm and unbothered when he began, by the time the Overlord was done reading the files, his brow had furrowed in disbelief, and he was leaning forward with a worried look on his face!

Kalum immediately looked up at Varon!

"Is this authentic?"

Varon nodded his head with a serious expression, and the Overlord stood up! The other people in the room all wondered what in the world had just happened! They all believed that this was going to be just another case of some low-ranking soldier thinking that they had found something serious, but in the end it would just be another pointless discovery that wouldn’t even take that many days to solve! But right now, it looked like the Overlord was genuinely worried about what was going on!

"My lord. What is the matter? Is there a war coming?"

One of the men at the table spoke up with a worried look when he saw the expression on the king’s face, and he began to wonder if they would have to start preparing for an attack from another domain! Or even worse, an attack from beyond the Primordial Veil! Everyone in the room knew that they lived very close to the Primordial Veil, so if a Primordial army ever managed to break through, then this was where it would come to first!

The fear of there being another Primordial War was already taking root in everyone’s hearts, but everyone stayed silent as they waited for the overlord to speak!

Overlord Kalum honestly wished that this was another attack from the Primordials! Kalum did not ever think he would say something like that, but at this moment, there was no other way he could express the amount of danger they were in! The Black Death was approaching. A beast born from the essence of death had been awakened, and there was nothing any of them could do about this!

Kalum immediately looked at the men at the table and spoke in a loud voice!

"We must prepare evacuation plans! Every one of you is to write up a draft and prepare as many transportation vehicles as you can to move people away from the worlds in the Eastern Section! Use all your most powerful mages to evacuate lower-level worlds and commandeer every interworld transportation vehicle! This is an order from the overlord!"

The people at the table were all stunned, and some of them even stood up in shock when they heard this! They all realised that the overlord was dead serious, and they began to wonder if there was really a war coming!

"My lord, what’s going on!? Is it a war? We can fight them! If anyone tries to take our world, then it is our job to protect it!"

Kalum grit his teeth and squeezed his hand into a fist!

"No, we cannot! We cannot fight this! The Celestial of Death has been awakened once again, and it has begun carving a path through this domain!"

Shock passed through the entire group when they heard this, and many of them even fell back to their seats as they felt a cold terror travel down from their heads to their toes! The name ’Celestial of Death’ was something that all the older members of the Primordial Expanse were very familiar with! It was a story that had been passed down from generation to generation like a warning of Ragnarok and the end of all worlds!

The Celestial of Death was a creature unlike anything they could comprehend! A monster that did not belong in this domain, but forced itself to remain here as a Fallen Celestial! Death did not have a shape or form and existed only as an ethereal anomaly that cascaded across worlds in a smoky, blackened form!
