Suddenly, I Am Rich

"Look, Eli, they’re flirting again." Lily looked between the two of them before glancing over Eli.

"Hey," Gray glared at her. "Don’t teach Eli weird things."

"I didn’t teach him anything," Lily defended herself. "I’m just saying what I see!"

Selina’s cheeks became slightly red at that,, but she just chuckled.

"Get inside now so we can’t disturb others."

With her reminder, they got inside. Lily immediately ran into the office while laughing.

The moment they entered, Gray noticed several takeout containers and documents spread across Selina’s desk. Her laptop remained open with multiple files displayed on the screen.

His brows rose slightly at it. "You really haven’t been leaving this office?"

"Yeah..." Selina followed his gaze and pressed her lips together while Gray sighed at that.

Selina clicked her tongue. Before she could even explain further, Lily had already made herself comfortable on the sofa.

"Sister, have you eaten already?"

"Not yet."

"Huh?" Lily’s eyes immediately went straight to her.

Selina winced at it.

"It’s already afternoon, Sister."

Gray shook his head. "See? Even Lily is concerned."

"It’s cause I had work."

"But you still shouldn’t miss food, Sister," Lily muttered, lightly scolding her.

When Selina realized it, she chuckled lightly.

"Sorry, Lily."

Lily smiled and waved her hand. "It’s okay, Sister."

"Hm?" Selina blinked.

"You need to work hard, too."

This time, it was Gray’s turn to look surprised. When did Lily become mature like this? It was really odd to see Lily seeing things like that.

Lily crossed her arms and nodded seriously.

"Brother works hard."

"You work hard."

"Even Eli works hard!"

"I do?" Eli looked up at her.

"Yes. So it’s okay if you’re busy sometimes."

The guilt on Selina’s face softened into warmth. Without warning, she reached over and pulled Lily into a hug.

"Ack!"

"You’re too cute."

"S-Sister, I can’t breathe!"

Gray laughed while Eli smiled from the side.

For the next few minutes, they simply settled down and relaxed.

Selina ordered food for everyone, refusing to let the visit end without eating together. They waited for it, and soon, the coffee table was filled with food.

And of course it was Lily who was first.

"Sister, go on! Eat more!" She muttered as she stuffed her mouth with food.

"Lily, eat slowly," Gray reminded her.

"O-Okay, brother!" Lily just smiled to show off her full mouth before nodding.

As they ate together, the atmosphere gradually became lighter. Lily talked about what she’s been doing so far, and Eli also shared a few stories about what he’s been up to.

Even if Lily and Eli were always together, their interests were still different. Lily likes girly things and food, while Eli is more fond of science and stuff like that.

"Sister."

"Hm?"

"You haven’t visited us much lately."

"I’m sorry."

"No, no." Lily quickly shook her head. "I’m not complaining."

"Then what are you doing?"

"I’m just saying," Lily pouted. All she really wanted to say was that she missed Selina.

Selina couldn’t help but chuckle when she saw Lily’s expression. The girl was pouting so hard that her cheeks were puffed up.

"Oh?" Selina tilted her head slightly. "You miss me, didn’t you?"

Lily immediately looked away.

"N-No."

"Really?"

"Really." Selina raised a brow.

"Then I guess I shouldn’t visit this weekend."

Lily’s head snapped back quickly at Selina.

"What?!"

"Hm?" Selina tried to keep a straight face. "I thought you didn’t miss me."

"I didn’t say that!"

"You literally just did."

Lily opened her mouth then closed it... then opened it again.

"Okay...Maybe a little."

"A little?" Selina smiled.

"A little."

"Just a little?"

"Fine." Lily pouted more. She crossed her arms and looked away dramatically.

"I missed you a lot, okay?"

The moment those words came out, Selina’s smile immediately softened.

"There it is."

"You’re so bad, sister!" Lily groaned.

Selina laughed before reaching over and pinching Lily’s cheek lightly.

"Sorry, little girl."

Lily just pouted before a small smile appeared on her lips. After a minute, Selina’s office was filled with laughter once again.

Gray just chuckled while looking at them. Honestly, it was hard not to feel amused watching the three of them.

Their relationship had somehow become incredibly close over the past few months. Now, Lily already treats Selina like a real older sister.

And Selina clearly adored her and Eli.

"How about you?" Selina suddenly turned toward Eli.

"Hm?"

"Did you miss me too?"

Eli froze for a second. Unlike Lily, he wasn’t as expressive as she was.

"Uh..." His face reddened at that thought. He cleared his throat and answered.

"A little."

Lily immediately pointed at him. "He’s lying, sister!"

"Huh?"

"You talked about Sister Selina a lot, too!"

When that was revealed, Eli’s face reddened further. Truthfully, just like Lily, he also misses Selina. Gray, Lily, and Selina were the closest he had to family.

Selina and Gray looked at each other at that. The two of them enjoyed the show, while the two kids started arguing again.

"Traitor."

"You’re the traitor."

"You miss Sister Selina more than me."

"I do not!"

"You do!"

As the two children continued arguing on the sofa, Selina’s gaze slowly drifted toward Gray. When their eyes met, Selina took the chance to stand up.

The two kids were still arguing, so their attention was not on them.

Selina smiled before stopping right beside him. In there, she quietly wrapped her arms around him. Gray smiled at it. His arms naturally moved around her waist.

Selina rested her forehead lightly against his shoulder.

Finally, after days of barely seeing each other, they were finally in the same place again.

"You really have been overworking yourself," Gray muttered softly.

"Yeah..." she admitted quietly. There was a hint of exhaustion in her voice. Instead of arguing, she just tightened her arms around him slightly. For someone as stubborn as Selina, admitting she was tired was already a big thing.

Gray let out a small chuckle before lightly rubbing her back. He hugged her, too.

"Sister?"
