Suddenly, I Am Rich

The gloomy topic disappeared almost instantly after Gray mentioned Selina. He stared at the two of them and couldn’t help but laugh.

Just a few seconds ago, they were discussing important matters. And now the children looked like they were already preparing for a trip.

"You two change your moods fast, no?" Gray rose a brow to them.

Lily just made a face before standing up.

"I’’ll go now and prepare brother!" Lily clicked her tongue before running toward her room. "Eli, let’s go! Before brother changes his mind!"

When Eli heard that, his eyes widened. He will immediately stand up and run away, leaving Gray all alone in the living room.

Gray will just sigh and shake his head.

After getting ready, the three drove towards Selina’s company. Selina has been working nonstop. With it, Gray and she had barely seen each other for the last few days.

It was also the reason why Gray wanted to check on her. Selina has been assigned an important task, so he wanted to cheer her up a little.

And he knew that Selina also missed Lily and Eli. After all, throughout their messages and calls, she would always ask about the two.

As soon as they arrived in front of the building, Lily pressed her face against the window.

"We’re here!"

"I can see that," Gray answered plainly, causing Lily to glare at him.

"Brother, you’re ruining my excitement."

Gray chuckled at it.

"Let’s go." However, a second later, he turned serious.

When Lily and Eli saw it, they immediately followed. Just like that, the three entered the building together. Unlike the first few times he had visited, Gray was already recognized here.

After all, this company was Conrad’s. For sure, his face was on everyone’s phone once, especially when he and Conrad partnered up to establish the second branch of his store.

Because of it, a few receptionists greeted him politely.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Gray."

"Good afternoon."

Lily’s eyes widened slightly when she heard that. Even Eli looked surprised at it.

"Brother."

"Hm?"

"You look important to them."

"That’s because your sister Selina works here, Lily." Gray nearly laughed.

"But..." Lily shook her head. "People look like they know you too."

Gray just smiled at Lily at that.

"Miss Selina is currently in her office. I’ll let her know you’re here." One receptionist went to their side to guide them.

"Thank you."

With it a quick call was made on the telephone. While talking over the phone, the receptionist’s smile widened.

"She’s asking you to come up immediately."

"Really?" Lily’s eyes shone bright.

"Yes, Miss." The receptionist nodded, making Lily and Eli even more excited.

"See?" Lily immediately puffed out her chest. "I told you Sister Selina would want to see us."

The receptionist tried her best not to smile as well before gesturing toward the elevators.

"Please follow me."

The three stepped inside the elevator together. The moment the doors closed, Lily immediately started bouncing lightly on her feet.

"Brother, do you think Sister Selina is busy right now?"

"Probably," Gray answered.

"Then are we disturbing her?"

"You were the one who wanted to come."

Lily froze and pouted.

"I-I didn’t think about that..."

When Eli saw it, he chuckled. It was the same with Gray. Truthfully, he was also looking forward to seeing Selina.

Most of their interactions lately have been through messages and late-night phone calls, even when they’re just on the same floor. It was because Selina barely goes home.

Sometimes they only talked for ten or fifteen minutes before one of them became busy again. Fortunately, the two of them understand each other, so there was no awkwardness.

That was why their relationship had continued to grow despite both having hectic lives.

*Ding!

When the elevator doors opened, Lily immediately rushed out.

"Hey! Slow down," Gray called after her.

"Can’t hear you!"

"You definitely heard me."

"I didn’t!"

Gray sighed at that. He glanced at Eli, who remained by his side. Good thing that Eli was not learning Lily’s ways or he will be in trouble.

"Don’t be like her, okay?" Gray muttered to Eli.

Eli chuckled and nodded.

"Don’t worry, brother Gray." Eli walked beside him. The two shared an amused look before following after Lily.

Soon, they arrived at Selina’s floor. Several employees who immediately recognized Gray stood up and lowered their heads.

"Mr. Gray."

"Good afternoon."

"Welcome."

Gray greeted them politely as he passed.

Lily’s eyes became round again.

"See?" she whispered to Eli. "I told you people know brother."

"I think Brother Gray is more famous here." Eli nodded too.

Eventually, they reached Selina’s office. Before anyone could even knock, the door suddenly opened. And there stood Selina.

For a moment, everyone froze. Selina was still wearing her work attire. Her hair was neatly tied back, though a few loose strands framed her face. She looked tired, but the moment she saw the people standing outside, her entire expression brightened.

"Lily!"

"Sister Selina!"

Selina barely had time to react before Lily threw her arms around her.

"I missed you!"

"I missed you too, Lily." Selina laughed warmly as she hugged her back.

Then she glanced toward Eli and a soft smile immediately appeared.

"Eli."

"Hello, Sister Selina."

"How have you been?"

"I’m good."

"That’s nice to hear," Selina gently patted his head before finally lifting her gaze toward Gray.

For a brief moment, neither of them spoke. Yet the smile that appeared on Selina’s face said everything.

Gray smiled at her.

"You look tired, Miss."

"Hello to you too." Selina rolled her eyes jokingly at that. But it was obvious how that one interaction made the exhaustion in her eyes completely disappear. Seeing that reaction, Gray couldn’t help feeling satisfied.

It looked like bringing Lily and Eli here had been the right decision after all.

"So are you going to let us enter or not?" Gray raised a brow at that.

Selina playfully rolled her eyes before taking a step to the side. "You may come in."
