Zhao Shuai and Jiang Cheng walked out of the Qi Family, "Are we going back now, Jiang?" Zhao Shuai asked.

"Yes, you need to tell your dad where you’re going, right?" Jiang Cheng said.

"Sigh, I don’t know if my dad will agree." Zhao Shuai frowned and said.

Zhao Shuai was on the phone with the boss, and Jiang Cheng overheard that the boss seemed to be at Zhao Shuai’s house, "Your dad is at your home?" Jiang Cheng asked as Zhao Shuai hung up the phone.

"Yes, my dad said he’s waiting to have dinner with me, it’s rare for him not to be busy," Zhao Shuai said, smiling, a warmth that Jiang Cheng seldom saw on Zhao Shuai’s face.

Zhao Shuai and Jiang Cheng quickly arrived home, and just as they got out of the car, Jiang Cheng saw two unfamiliar security guards standing in front of the building where Zhao Shuai lived, presumably there because the boss was inside.

When Jiang Cheng and Zhao Shuai walked into the house, they saw the boss sitting at the dining table. "Dad, when did you arrive?" Zhao Shuai exclaimed as he entered excitedly.

"Shuai, Jiang, come and sit, I’ve been here for a while." The boss said with a smile.

"Wow, Dad, you’ve made so much delicious food!" Zhao Shuai exclaimed in amazement as he looked at the table full of dishes.

"Yes, it’s rare to have time, so I came over to make you a meal. Sit down and eat, Jiang." The boss said with a grin to Jiang Cheng.

"Jiang, today you’re lucky, come on, my dad’s cooking is really delicious." Zhao Shuai said to Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng looked at the table full of dishes with some deep feelings; it seemed like it had been a long time since he had eaten such a meal, and he didn’t expect the usually busy boss to have time to cook for Zhao Shuai.

"Yes, Jiang, try some." The boss said as he placed the utensils in front of Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng ate a few bites and found it really tasty, suddenly realizing he hadn’t seen Zhao Shuai’s mother before, not even knowing where she was.

Zhao Shuai watched the warm and kindly smile on his father’s face, for a moment unsure how to bring up his plans to go to Li Country.

"Jiang, I heard about the suspect of the Canglan Virus who escaped last time; I heard you found out they were hiding in some bar? I really appreciate it, otherwise, we really wouldn’t know how to explain to the public." The boss said to Jiang Cheng.

"No problem, it’s my duty, besides, I haven’t caught the person who escaped," Jiang Cheng said.

"Dad, do you know Li Country?" Zhao Shuai hesitated several times but finally said.

The boss looked at Zhao Shuai in shock upon hearing it, taking a few seconds before saying, "How do you know about Li Country?"

"Dad, the recent viruses are all caused by Li People, and they’re constantly causing trouble. How could I not know?" Zhao Shuai saw his father’s expression and realized he must have known all along.

The boss wasn’t very surprised after Zhao Shuai’s words, just sitting quietly, not speaking.

"I want to go to Li Country—" Zhao Shuai continued.

"No way!" The boss looked at Zhao Shuai sternly, becoming a bit angry. "Do you know how dangerous Li Country is? You can’t go."

"Dad, precisely because of the danger, it shows how perilous they are. Now they’re openly challenging us, so we need to check the situation first, to avoid being caught off guard if a war breaks out in the future." Zhao Shuai said.

"No, it’s not possible, I can send others, what can you do?" The president still appeared firm in his refusal.

"I’ll be fine, I’ll go with Jiang and others, we won’t encounter any trouble." Zhao Shuai sent a pleading look to Jiang Cheng.

The boss finished speaking and handed a jade pendant to Zhao Shuai, "This pendant, your mom always carried it with her, now I’m giving it to you, keep it well."

Zhao Shuai looked at the warm, glowing jade pendant in the sunlight, recalling his early-deceased mother, such a gentle person having gone so early.

"When are you leaving?" the boss asked.

"Tomorrow morning," Jiang Cheng replied, "So soon? Alright then, take care along the way." The boss deeply said to Jiang Cheng and Zhao Shuai.

"Don’t worry, Dad." Zhao Shuai said with a smile, "Alright, I have things to do, I’ll be off now, I won’t see you off tomorrow." the boss said.
