Chapter 1242 - 1241: Conflict

Chapter 1242: Chapter 1241: Conflict

Quick, look, isn’t that him?" The first person who walked in said.

Jiang Cheng saw that this person was the boy he had punched that day.

Now, these two people weren’t wearing Wula Sect clothes, but casual sportswear. However, their eyes were full of disdain. They were currently staring at Jiang Cheng and Qi Rongfeng with contempt.

"What do you want?" Qi Rongfeng looked at the malicious expressions on the faces of these two seemingly young and handsome people and felt that their intentions weren’t good.

"We wouldn’t dare do anything. You’re so tough, hitting people here as usual, right?" the other boy said.

Jiang Cheng really didn’t want to talk to these two people anymore, feeling it was a waste of words.

"To be honest, this time you’ve really hit the bull’s-eye; do you know who’s in charge this time?" The boy said proudly, "He’s our Master Venerable’s own brother."

After speaking, the two looked at Jiang Cheng and Qi Rongfeng with disdain, "Looking at you, I bet no one will come to bail you out. In today’s world, what’s so great about hitting people?" The boy continued arrogantly.

Neither Qi Rongfeng nor Jiang Cheng paid any attention to what the boy said, but Jiang Cheng thought that Zeng Yu indeed seemed to be the brother of the Master Venerable of the Wula Sect.

The two boys saw Jiang Cheng and Qi Rongfeng showing no reaction at all and thought they were surely scared silly.

"But, if you both kneel down and beg us, we might consider forgiving you. Haha," one of the boys said, grinning sleazily at the other one.

Jiang Cheng was a bit curious at this moment, while these two spoke arrogantly, the people outside didn’t seem to care. Were they unaware or just indifferent? "Hey, you two, really prefer harsh methods over gentleness, don’t you?" Seeing Jiang Cheng and Zhao Shuai’s nonchalant faces truly embarrassed them.

"What do you want us to say? Kneel down and beg you? Haha, the truth will come out soon enough, then it’ll be you kneeling to beg us," Jiang Cheng said.

"You," the boy was about to say something.

"Someone’s here to bail them out," a team member outside exclaimed as they pushed the door open.

Jiang Cheng glanced at the two boys and walked out.

Jiang Cheng and Qi Rongfeng went outside and immediately saw Zhang Tian’s stylish but impatient face. Zhang Tian was wearing a leather coat, standing there impatiently, Qi Rongfeng had never thought Zhang Tian could look so cool before.

"You’re here," Jiang Cheng said to Zhang Tian with a smile.

Zhang Tian cast a sideways glance at Jiang Cheng without speaking. He appeared a bit angry, and it was the first time Jiang Cheng had seen Zhang Tian act so childishly.

It seemed Zhang Tian had already completed the procedures, Jiang Cheng and Qi Rongfeng were just about to leave.

"Stop!" The two who were inside came out again.

"I want to see who bailed them out," one of the boys said.

But when the two boys saw Zhang Tian, they froze in place.

Chang Tian was now standing there, looking at the two boys too, raising his eyebrows.

"You, you’re Zhang Tian?" One of the boys stammered.

"Hmm, you guys are Jin?" Zhang Tian asked coldly.

"We are, we are..." The two lost all their previous swagger, looking like a deflated balloon.

"Do you have a problem?" Zhang Tian asked impatiently.

"Why did you..." One of the boys was about to say something when the other immediately patted his shoulder.

"Nothing, haha, nothing at all. Have a good day," the boy said.

Zhang Tian turned and left, taking Jiang Cheng and Qi Rongfeng to the car.

"Not to be repeated," Zhang Tian said coldly.

"Yeah, don’t worry, today was unavoidable," Jiang Cheng replied.

"I figured you had planned for this, hadn’t you?" Zhang Tian asked.

Jiang Cheng just smiled without saying anything.

"Are you very powerful in your country?" Qi Rongfeng asked, recalling the two’s respectful demeanor towards Zhang Tian earlier.

"Not bad," Zhang Tian answered indifferently. "Where are you headed? To the materials market," Jiang Cheng said.

"Still looking for trouble? You guys are really bold. I used to think Jiang Cheng had some sense; you’re even provoking the Wula Sect?" Zhang Tian said.

Jiang Cheng listened to Zhang Tian say so much, even calling him brainless, but didn’t feel offended. "Sometimes, you just have to follow your impulses, right? Can’t let people bully you," he said.

After hearing this, Zhang Tian was silent for a long time, seemingly lost in memories or pondering Jiang Cheng’s words.

Not long afterward, they reached the market. "You guys go ahead. Don’t cause trouble again in the future," Zhang Tian said as he walked away.

"Jiang, why do I feel that Zhang Tian isn’t so bad?" Qi Rongfeng said.

"It’s good that you think that way," Jiang replied.

"But who is Zhang Tian really? He seems quite famous."

"He probably is the richest person in this country, hands down," Jiang Cheng said.

"Really, that amazing? How do you know, Jiang?" Qi Rongfeng asked, truly surprised.

"The last time we went to his company, I overheard his employees say that. Later found out online seems like it’s true," Jiang Cheng said.

"Wow, truly a hidden gem. Impressive," Qi Rongfeng said.

"Come on, let’s go find Zhao Shuai and the others," Jiang said.

"How do you know they’re here?" Qi Rongfeng asked.

"We can only look here," Jiang Cheng replied helplessly.

Jiang Cheng and Qi Rongfeng walked through the market they had visited not long ago; it wasn’t as crowded now and seemed a bit empty. But as Jiang Cheng walked, he felt he was being watched.

"Jiang, the shopkeepers around here are all looking at us," Qi Rongfeng said to Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng also noticed that the feeling of being watched was indeed genuine. Many people on the street were watching him and Qi Rongfeng.

"It’s probably about our previous altercation with the Wula Sect disciples; the situation is still a hot topic," Jiang Cheng said.

The two ignored how the surrounding people saw them, simply walking toward their destination.

Before long, they arrived at the store where they had previously bought latex plastic. Upon arriving at the shop’s entrance, they saw Zhao Shuai and Cloud there—a place occupied only by the shop owner and another person. Jiang Cheng approached and realized the person looked familiar, like one of the Wula Sect disciples from before.

"Jiang, Rongfeng, you guys are here!" Zhao Shuai said happily upon seeing Jiang Cheng and Qi Rongfeng.

"Jiang, are you okay?" Cloud asked anxiously, fearing that something else had happened to Jiang Cheng.

"I’m fine. How about you?" Jiang Cheng asked.

"No luck. It’s not realistic to find the bystanders, so we came here to talk to the shop owner, but he refused," Zhao Shuai said.

Jiang Cheng looked at the shop owner, who was now staring at Jiang Cheng with fearful eyes. Seeing Jiang’s gaze, he quickly ran over to explain, "It’s not that I don’t want to testify, but if I want to continue doing business here, I can’t afford to offend the Wula Sect."

Jiang Cheng listened to the shop owner’s cowardly words and felt that this man was timid and ordinary, not someone who would testify properly in court.
