Forged Through Agony
After returning to his room.
Victor sat down in a meditating position.
He took out the Marrow Cleansing Elixirs from the system inventory.
They glowed with a soft white light.
Ten pills in total.
Each one powerful enough to temper bones.
Without any delay.
He directly placed the pill in his mouth.
And swallowed it.
As the pill entered his abdomen.
It started to melt.
A unique type of energy was released from the pill.
The energy moved towards his bones automatically.
Hisss!
Victor hissed suddenly with pain.
As the energy attacked his bones.
It was very agonizing.
Victor gritted his teeth as he endured the pain.
His jaw clenched so hard it hurt.
His hands gripped his thighs tightly.
He was an ordinary boy from Earth before.
Never endured such pain before in his entire life.
Except for one day when someone kicked him in the balls.
That was the most painful experience until now.
But this pain exceeded that pain by far.
"Fuck, this!!!"
Victor cursed in his mind.
Forcing himself to stay awake and concentrate.
His bones were repeatedly tempered by the medicinal energy.
It was very torturing.
The medicinal energy of the pill spread out in his entire body.
Assimilated into his bones little by little.
The energy seeped into the very marrow.
Burning away impurities.
And reinforcing the skeletal structure from within.
Each fiber of his bones was being broken down.
And rebuilt stronger.
Denser.
More resilient than before.
The process was agonizing.
Like thousands of tiny hammers.
Striking every bone in his body simultaneously.
His bones crackled.
They popped.
They groaned under the pressure.
Victor could feel them changing.
Becoming like steel.
Being forged in a furnace of pain.
Sweat poured down his face.
His black hair clung to his forehead.
His white robe was soaked.
But he didn’t stop.
He couldn’t stop.
After fifteen minutes later.
Victor felt the pain subside.
As all the medicinal energy was absorbed by his bones.
He took a deep breath.
His body was trembling.
But he felt stronger.
His bones felt denser.
More solid.
More powerful.
After digesting the first pill.
Victor glanced at the remaining nine pills in his hand.
He felt a cold chill in his heart.
While he stared at the nine pills.
He really didn’t want to experience that pain again.
His body screamed for rest.
His mind begged for relief.
But he knew.
He needed to continue.
After struggling in his mind for five minutes.
Victor clenched his teeth.
He placed the second pill in his mouth.
Although this process was painful.
It surely made him strong.
This temporary pain was many times better.
Than a big loss in the future for being weak.
As the second pill dissolved inside his stomach.
It released another wave of medicinal energy.
That automatically attacked his bones.
The energy once again assaulted his skeletal system.
Working its way through every joint and crevice.
Purifying and strengthening.
His bones creaked and groaned under the pressure.
Victor could feel them becoming denser.
Harder.
Like steel being forged in a furnace.
The pain was relentless.
But he held on.
Focusing on the end result.
Victor thought after experiencing previous pain.
It might feel less painful this time.
But he was wrong.
It still felt very painful.
Same as before.
He gritted his teeth.
His knuckles turned white.
But he endured.
Third pill.
Fourth pill.
Fifth pill.
Each one brought more pain.
But also more strength.
Victor’s body was being remade from the inside out.
His bones were becoming unbreakable.
His skeletal system was transforming.
Becoming a foundation of pure power.
Sixth pill.
Seventh pill.
His vision blurred.
His body shook.
But he didn’t stop.
He couldn’t stop.
Eighth pill.
Ninth pill.
Tenth pill.
Victor spent his next three hours.
Living a hellish life.
While refining his bones.
But his entire bone structure became three to four times stronger than before.
Not only that.
He could feel that his strength also became stronger than before.
His bones were like diamonds now.
Resilient and unbreakable.
Victor opened his eyes.
His golden eyes glowed with newfound power.
He felt different.
Stronger.
More confident.
After that, Victor didn’t cultivate more.
He walked out of the room.
And decided to take a walk around the house.
His body felt fresh.
His mind was clear.
His house was surrounded by a big garden all around.
Victor walked into the garden.
He curiously looked around.
It was quiet and peaceful.
He could not hear any sound.
Except noises made by the wind.
Trees.
And birds.
This time, he felt like he returned to his small village on Earth.
On Earth, his grandparents lived in a small village.
Their house was surrounded by green fields.
It felt peaceful there.
Victor used to go there with his family for summer vacation.
He was fond of the peaceful environment of that small village.
The gentle breeze.
The rustling leaves.
The songs of birds.
It was paradise.
Thinking of his family.
His heart saddened suddenly.
He didn’t know when he would be able to return to Earth.
And didn’t know whether they would be still alive.
By the time he would return to Earth.
His mother would be worried sick.
His father would be searching for him.
His siblings would miss their brother.
Helena would be heartbroken.
’No, they will be fine. I must find a way to return to Earth or bring them to this world.’
