Chapter 34: The Life I Must Protect

The Life I Must Protect

Helena would be heartbroken.

’No, they will be fine. I must find a way to return to Earth or bring them to this world.’

Victor clenched his fists.

And swore in his heart.

His golden eyes burned with determination.

He would find a way.

No matter what.

After a few minutes later.

He controlled his surging emotions.

And started looking around.

His house was not located in the city which he expected.

Rather it was located on a small mountain.

Around fifteen miles away from the Suncloud City.

After coming out of the mansion.

Victor could feel the fresh air.

It was clean and pure.

Filled with the scent of flowers and earth.

He looked to the side.

Where he could see a giant city.

Surrounded by a twenty-meter-high wall.

The design of the city was somewhat similar to the ancient cities.

That he had seen in movies and TV series on Earth.

The walls were made of massive stone blocks.

Towers stood at regular intervals.

Guards patrolled the top.

Victor’s gaze was attracted by the magnificent palace.

Standing tall like a skyscraper.

In the north of the city.

It was grand and imposing.

With golden roofs that gleamed in the sunlight.

’This should be the imperial palace of the Suncloud City.’

Victor thought in his mind.

As he glanced at the palace.

It was beautiful.

Majestic.

Powerful.

"Young Master!"

As Victor was staring at the Suncloud City.

A sweet voice arrived from behind him.

No need to look back.

He recognized the owner of the voice.

It was Skyla.

Victor looked at the peerless beauty.

Who arrived beside him.

Her blonde hair shimmered in the sunlight.

Her green eyes sparkled like emeralds.

Her D cup breasts pressed against her green robe.

She was beautiful.

So beautiful.

He couldn’t help but think about his girlfriend from his previous life.

Although her beauty couldn’t compare to Skyla.

To him, she was undoubtedly the best girl.

But she was gone now.

Lost to another world.

He felt a pang of sadness.

"Young Master, how are you?"

Victor’s wandering mind was brought back by the call of Skyla.

Her voice was soft and concerned.

"Ahh, I am good. How about you?"

Victor replied.

His voice was warm.

"I am good too!"

Skyla replied with a sweet smile.

Her green eyes sparkled with joy.

She felt that Victor had become a little different.

After the accident.

He was gentler.

Warmer.

More caring.

"By the way, Young Master! When did you come here? I thought you were cultivating."

Skyla curiously asked.

"Well, I just came out to take fresh air here."

Victor replied lightly.

Then he glanced at the city.

And spoke again.

"This place is not bad."

He gestured to the garden around them.

The flowers were in full bloom.

Colorful and fragrant.

After that, Victor looked at the city.

And said.

"This city is quite big."

It stretched as far as the eye could see.

Buildings of all sizes filled the landscape.

"Hmm! That’s because it’s the capital city of the Suncloud Kingdom."

Skyla nodded.

Her blonde hair swayed with the movement.

"Young Master, should we go to the city to look around?"

Skyla said suddenly.

As she looked at the grand city in front of her.

Her green eyes were filled with excitement.

Just like other teenage girls.

She was also interested in visiting new places.

Especially when it came to a grand city like this.

Although they lived in a big clan before.

They didn’t get many chances to go out of the clan.

Furthermore, the Salvatore Family was established in the midst of the mountains.

So it was pretty rare to go to such places at their young age.

The Suncloud City was a city filled with millions of people.

Undoubtedly it was very crowded.

And had many new things to see.

Bustling markets.

Grand temples.

Exotic shops.

All waiting to be explored.

Victor looked at her excited face.

Her enthusiasm was contagious.

"Wait a few more days, we will go together. I am also wanting to see this city."

Victor said.

His voice was soft.

He didn’t want to disappoint her.

But he needed to become stronger first.

"Hm!"

Skyla nodded happily.

Her smile was radiant.

She was happy.

Just being with him made her happy.

Victor smiled at her.

His heart warmed.

This girl.

This beautiful girl.

She cared for him.

Loved him.

He would protect her.

He would make her happy.

He would give her everything.

"Skyla."

Victor called her name softly.

"Yes, Young Master?"

She looked at him.

Her green eyes held nothing but trust.

Victor reached out slowly.

With a gentle motion, he tucked a loose strand of her blonde hair behind her ear.

Skyla froze for a moment.

The warmth of his fingers against her skin caught her off guard.

A faint blush spread across her cheeks.

"Thank you."

Victor’s voice was quiet.

Skyla blinked.

"For what, Young Master?"

She sounded genuinely confused.

Victor smiled.

It was a small smile.

Warm and sincere.

"For being here."

He paused.

"For caring about me."

His gaze softened.

"And for everything you’ve done."

Skyla’s cheeks grew even warmer.

Her heart began beating faster.

She lowered her eyes, suddenly unsure of what to say.

"Young Master..."

The words came out as barely a whisper.

Victor leaned a little closer.

Skyla slowly looked up again.

Their eyes met.

His golden eyes reflected in her green ones.

For a few seconds, neither of them spoke.

There was no need to.

Then Victor smiled again.

"I promise."

His voice carried quiet certainty.

"I’ll take you to see the city soon."

Skyla’s eyes widened slightly.

"And when we go..."

Victor’s smile became a little more playful.

"We’ll have a wonderful time together."

He said softly.

Skyla nodded.

Her eyes were shining with joy.

"I look forward to it, Young Master."

She said.

Victor smiled.

He looked at the city again.

Then at the girl beside him.

His heart was full.

This was his life now.

And he was going to make it wonderful.

For himself.

And for all of them.
