Chapter 168: Chapter 132: His Advent

"Thanks for coming. If this is all you’ve got, looks like I’ll get to clock out early today."

Clock out, mission, master,

The man had mentioned those three words, and Su Xing instantly realized that he was likely here making trouble on a mission from the Spiritual Sect, just like Curse. That meant the purple-haired phantom behind him must be a blessing from the Sect.

’Some kind of sequence?’

’A projection?’

’Or some other ability?’

Su Xing’s knowledge of Sequences was not shallow. With Su Yu in a building not far behind him, he knew there didn’t seem to be any ability in the Sequences that involved "using another man as one’s combat power." Generally, the phantoms born from a Sequence were projections of oneself. This was clearly not a Sequence.

"Not talking?"

The weariness on the middle-aged man’s face slowly faded, replaced by a murderous frenzy. His eyes locked onto Su Xing as he suddenly gave a cold smirk and said:

"Right. If I knew I was about to die, I probably wouldn’t feel much like talking either."

"Hahaha, His projection is so powerful! It wasn’t in vain that Lord Curse gave me such an important blessing! Now, I can finally eradicate you all—the Spiritual Sect’s greatest thorns in the flesh!"

’His projection?’

’Such an important blessing?’

Su Xing immediately understood the identity of the purple-haired phantom. It was actually ’Him’—the one who had always hidden within the Spirit Realm. He was the true leader of the Spiritual Sect, the god of all Spiritualist Followers, a Qi Cultivator who had lived for over five hundred years!

’This must have been the strongest blessing ’He’ gave to Vice Bishop Jie. I can’t believe Vice Bishop Jie actually gave this blessing to the man before me.’

Su Xing’s eyes narrowed as he stared at the somewhat ethereal, purple-haired phantom. Without a trace of fear in his heart, he said:

"A blessing is just a blessing. I’d like to see just how much of your dog-master’s power it actually has."

Hearing Su Xing’s words, the man’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he sneered viciously.

"Dog-master?"

"You’ve got some nerve, daring to say something like that. Are you tired of living?"

"Even though I only have a fragmented projection of Him, it’s more than enough to slaughter every last one of you!"

"You, Su Yu, Lu Anning, and all the other muggles lying on the ground—not a single one of you will be left! This is the price for your insolence!"

"Don’t worry. It’ll be quick. You won’t feel a thing."

With those murderous words, the man’s figure blurred, leaving a purple streak in the air as he shot toward Su Xing like a bolt of lightning!

His incredible speed turned him into a hazy afterimage. Amid the violent howl of displaced air, space itself seemed to crackle as he swung his hand like a blade, chopping down viciously at Su Xing!

"The one who’s going to die is you!" Su Xing roared.

He neither dodged nor retreated. Gripping the Black Sword in his right hand, he channeled all his power into "Sea Overturn" and thrust directly at the man before him!

The man before him was like a madman. He completely ignored Su Xing’s attack, a savage grin spreading across his face as he took the sword strike head-on!

Su Xing clearly felt his sword pierce the man’s flesh, and blood gushed wildly from the wound. But the man didn’t retreat a single step. Instead, he forced the phantom to throw a punch that smashed squarely into Su Xing’s chest.

BAM!!!

Amid the tremendous explosion, a large crater suddenly appeared in the ground!

As Su Xing was sent flying, he channeled "Sword Qi Aura" into his right foot and kicked the man’s chest. The man let out a heavy grunt, and both figures were sent flying backward together.

BOOM!!!

A cloud of dust and debris billowed up!

Su Xing slammed heavily into the spectator stands several meters away, reducing an entire section to rubble. He clutched his chest, his eyes dark and grim as he stared at the man.

The moment the purple phantom’s fist had struck him, he felt as if he’d been hit by something immense, overwhelmingly destructive, and impossible to resist. He could faintly feel the urge to spit out a mouthful of blood.

Not only that, but Su Xing could clearly feel a strange energy rampaging inside his body.

This power was unlike the simple physical strength of a Martial Artist, nor was it the white energy of sword techniques, and it certainly wasn’t the sequence energy of a Sequencer.

It was a type of energy Su Xing had never encountered or understood before. It felt more like Spiritual Qi that had been processed by some special means—this was the work of a Qi Cultivator.

Su Xing took a deep breath, controlling the Black Sword and Sparrow Sword within his body to forcibly suppress this energy.

If not for the fact that Su Xing’s strength and constitution had already reached another level—to the point where even some Fifth-Order practitioners couldn’t compare to his physical fortitude—and the fact that the Black Sword and Sparrow Sword exerted such powerful control within his body, that punch, combined with the subsequent energy backlash, would have subjected him to a fate worse than death, or even killed him instantly.

The most crucial thing was...

Su Xing gazed into the distance with a grim expression. The casual way the man had thrown that punch suggested it hadn’t been his full strength. Otherwise, judging by the punches he’d thrown when descending from the sky earlier, Su Xing knew his injuries wouldn’t have been this light.

Still, after taking a sword strike and a kick from him, the man couldn’t be in good shape either.

His "Sea Overturn" had the power to inflict grievous wounds, and unless one was incredibly difficult to kill, like those from the Zombie Sequence, all forms of healing would be completely suppressed.

Just as Su Xing had this thought, the dust in the distance slowly settled. The man, who had also crashed through a section of the spectator stands, slowly got to his feet. His chest was caved in from Su Xing’s kick, and a massive, bloody hole gaped in his shoulder. But the man acted as if nothing was wrong.
