Chapter 169: Chapter 132: He Arrives 2
He gave his shoulder a simple, casual roll. With a series of CRUNCHING sounds, blood gushed even faster from the wound. He sighed softly, then pressed hard on his chest, snapping his dislocated ribs back into place. As for the injury on his shoulder, he paid it no mind.
"This..."
Su Xing’s eyelid twitched. His opponent clearly lacked any immunity to injury, yet he still chose to trade blows, wound for wound. ’This proves, at the very least, that he’s an extremely bloodthirsty foe.
This kind of enemy,
is the most troublesome to fight.
He’ll probably get fiercer the longer we fight, more excited the more he bleeds. I need to be extra careful.’
"Not bad. You’re still alive."
A flicker of surprise crossed the man’s face. He clapped his hands and continued:
"To be able to take a punch from my phantom, you’ve got some skill. But let’s see just how many you can withstand."
He stomped down hard, instantly shattering the rubber track. Countless bits of rubber, dirt, and rock flew everywhere, leaving a massive crater in his wake.
His entire body shot forward like a cannonball, barreling toward Su Xing!
"Who the hell do you think you are, talking to me like that?!"
A vicious glint flashed in Su Xing’s eyes as he slashed directly at the charging man. A shockwave erupted with Su Xing at its center, followed by an unending series of explosive cracks!
The next moment, Su Xing and the man slammed violently into each other, beginning an exceptionally fierce exchange.
BOOM!!! BOOM!!! BOOM!!!
A dense cacophony of collisions erupted. Countless phantoms of fists and flashes of sword light clashed madly in mid-air. The air and space around the two were constantly torn asunder and blasted open, creating one shattered black hole after another and sending raging gales in every direction!
The two fought as they moved at extreme speeds, and everything in their path was instantly obliterated without a trace.
Hiding in a nearby building, Lu Anning and Su Yu stared, dumbfounded, at the absurd battle unfolding between the two monsters on the field.
One was Su Xing’s younger brother, the other his first disciple. Both had seen Su Xing fight before, but now they were shocked speechless.
When an absurdly powerful Sequencer had suddenly appeared, they had been worried about whether Su Xing could win.
But now that Su Xing was displaying the terrifying strength to match his opponent blow for blow, their first reaction was disbelief. It was simply too incredible! Su Xing’s power had grown far too quickly!
"Coach... Coach Su is actually that strong?"
Lu Anning’s lips trembled. She suddenly recalled how, before her tournament, she had wondered when she might surpass Coach Su. Now, it was clear the gap between them was immeasurably vast.
But she didn’t give up because of it.
She just felt her goal had been raised a little higher.
The last time Lu Anning had seen Coach Su in action, she recalled, was during the fight with the Catastrophe High Priest. Back then, Su Xing possessed nowhere near this level of absurd power!
"My brother... is so strong!!!"
Su Yu watched the battlefield in utter shock. He knew a little more than Lu Anning did.
Because Su Xing had a habit of making him clean up his messes, Su Yu was well aware that although his older brother was only a fourth-tier, he already had the strength to contend with a fifth-tier.
But...
With his level of perception, he couldn’t make out the details of their exchange at all. All he could see were countless afterimages clashing madly in mid-air, generating a storm of dense, thunderous sonic booms and spatial fissures that would occasionally shatter open.
This scale of combat was completely beyond an ordinary fifth-tier. ’My brother has definitely gotten stronger again!’
"This is bad. With them fighting like that, we can’t help at all."
Lu Anning clenched her fists tightly, anxiety welling up in her eyes as she stared intently at the battlefield.
Although her strength was somewhat lower than Su Yu’s, making it even harder for her to follow their exchange,
she could clearly see that during their frantic exchange, Su Xing was knocked back much further than his opponent with every clash. This clearly meant he was on the losing end of each exchange, putting him at a great disadvantage.
In truth, Su Xing was indeed at a disadvantage, but to say the situation was extremely unfavorable was an exaggeration.
The reason Su Xing was constantly being suppressed, sent flying further back than his opponent after every clash, was simply because he was using a force-deflecting technique he had learned from "Drifting Snow."
Previously, Su Xing had never encountered an opponent of this caliber; simply brute-forcing his way through fights had always been enough. Thus, he’d never had a reason to use this technique.
This time, however, the purple phantom’s power was simply too terrifying. Su Xing felt that if he didn’t use this technique, his body would be the first to give out from the frequent, high-impact collisions.
Even so,
Su Xing never once thought he would lose.
He was waiting for an opportunity—an opening after using "Sword Shatter" that would allow him to end the battle in a single blow.
Waiting for a chance where his victory would be certain,
one where he wouldn’t end up losing because of the technique’s side effects.
"Die!"
A ruthless expression flashed across Su Xing’s face. Brazenly risking a direct hit from his opponent’s palm, he unleashed every sword technique at his disposal and slammed them into the man’s heart!
The heart.
It is a vital point for everyone.
Even for an Extraordinary Being, one would not normally allow their heart to be attacked so easily. That was why the man had intentionally maneuvered to protect his heart from Su Xing’s attacks, time and time again.
