Chapter 1525: After Story: The Main Branch Of The Leventis Family [Part 2]

After thinking long and hard, Arthur still failed to come up with a challenge he could win against his no-good grandson.

He didn’t stand a chance in a duel of brute force. Thirteen might be younger than him, but his strength already surpassed what was humanely possible in the worlds of Solterra, and Pangea.

Even if he tried to settle this by choosing a sports game, he had witnessed first-hand Zion’s uncanny ability to calculate moves that would secure his win.

For the same reason, any kind of game, whether virtual or real, was also out of the question.

Written exam was also not an option. Zion was incredibly smart—probably the smartest person in Pangea and Solterra. Beating him in a written exam was like a baby trying to fight a university student in math.

In the end, Arthur thought that he would only stand a chance if the challenge that he would propose couldn’t be won with skills, but luck.

Arthur didn’t consider himself lucky, but this was the only option he had right now.

While he was deep in thought, he noticed two little creatures perched on the biggest stone that was at the center of his artificial pond that could be viewed from his office.

“Are they monsters?” Arthur thought. “Is that… a slime?”

While wondering if the blue and white little creatures were actually slimes or not, one of them took out a fishing rod and threw the line on the water.

A moment later, one of the Koi Fishes on the pond bit on the bait, and was raised off the water by the blue slime.

The corner of Arthur’s lips twitched because someone actually dared to try and steal one of his fishes.

But then it hit him!

“Yes, that’s right!” Arthur’s eyes widened in shock. “Fishing! Why didn’t I think of that?!”

Fishing was one of Arthur’s hobbies. It could even be said that he was very good at it. He even had his own collection of fishing lures that worked for any kind of fish!

While an idea was brewing inside of his head, he saw the two little creatures toss the Koi Fish back to the pond before jumping away to head to who-knows-where.

Arthur wanted to thank them for giving him an idea, so he headed to the pond to check if they were still around.

“Ei~”

“Dim?”

“Ei! Ei!”

“Dim Dim!”

When Arthur arrived at the pond area, he confirmed that the blue creature was indeed a slime.

The other one, who was white in color, looked like a little steamed bun.

The two were poking one of the Guard Dogs of the Leventis Residence, who didn’t seem bothered that two tiny creatures were poking its belly.

In fact, it even seemed happy to be getting attention from the two of them.

“Friends, can I talk to you two for a moment?”

The baby blue slime, and the little white bun looked up at the old man who walked up to them with a smile.

Arthur then crouched down and offered the two creatures some chocolate bars from inside his pocket as a peace offering.

Both of them looked harmless, so he had no plans on hurting them. In fact, he was very thankful because they allowed him to find a way to win his duel against his no-good-grandson.

A few days later…

In a river owned by the Leventis Family, a group of people had gathered.

It was actually one of the biggest, deepest rivers in the Aldebaran Continent, and it was called the Drustan River.

With a depth of over a hundred meters and a width of two kilometers, it was home to many kinds of freshwater fish.

It was the perfect place to have a fishing tournament, so Arthur invited everyone to go to an outing.

Thirteen, his wives, his family, his friends were there, alongside Arthur and his family.

“It seems that I underestimated you, gramps,” Thirteen said calmly. “You chose a challenge you are good at.”

“Fishing doesn’t only rely on skills but luck as well,” Arthur replied. “I hope you will remember your promise that you will no longer call your side of the family the Main Branch if I win.”

“Of course,” Thirteen nodded. “But the same goes for you. I don’t want to hear you complain later that I didn’t give you a chance.”

The no-good-grandfather-and-grandson pair smirked at each other as if both of them had already won.

Neither was backing down, which made everyone watching them feel amused.

But since they were already there, everyone decided to go fishing as well.

Since the majority of them were Wanderers, some of them had fishing experience. But Zion had none.

However, he understood the logic behind it.

He saw his hosts do it in the past as well, so he believed that he could manage as long as he followed the right steps.

A few minutes later, the first official fishing competition with the prize as the Head of the Family finally started.

Thirteen, and Arthur sat on chairs as they threw their fishing lines to the water.

The two once again glanced at each other, and smiled evilly.

A good distance away from them, Rhia was starting to put bait on its fishing hook. But instead of worms, or lures, the thing that hung on the other end of her hook was a pork dumpling.

“Dim!”

The little white bun had personally put the bait on her fishing hook, making the little girl giggle.

“I just throw it, right?” Rhia asked.

“Yes,” Queen Miriamelle, who had come to visit, lightly patted her daughter’s head. “Just toss it like this.”

Although Rhia was no longer her biological daughter, she was still her daughter no matter what. Because of this, the Queen of Artem would often visit Pangea to play with her.

Mimicking what she did, Rhia threw the line into the water.

She then sat on her little chair, planning to wait until a fish bit on her bait.

Beside her, the two little creatures started singing together. Both of them were wearing small pirate hats, which made them look very adorable.

“I’ll sing you a song it’s the song of the sea,” the blue baby slime sang.

“Row bully boys row,” the little white bun sang beside her.

“I’ll sing you a song if you sing it with me.”

“Row, my bully boys row.”

Suddenly, the line of Rhia’s hook started to bob up and down.

“A fish!” Rhia looked very excited because something was moving in the water.

Lady Miriamelle then helped her daughter pull the fish to the shore, which led to everyone cheering and clapping at them.

Then with a casual tug from Queen Miriamelle, the “fish” Rhia caught was hoisted on land.

Thirteen and Arthur almost choked on their drinks when they saw what Rhia and her mother had pulled out of the water.

“What the hell is an Orca (Killer Whale) doing here?!” Vincent gasped after seeing what Rhia had caught.

“Actually, Orcas sometimes travel on rivers as well,” Thirteen replied as he gazed at the “fish” that was currently trembling as Queen Miriamelle raised it with her hands so that she and Rhia could take a picture of it.

The little girl’s smile was so dazzling that everyone looking at her felt their hearts melting.

After several pictures were taken, Rhia bid goodbye to the killer whale before Queen Miriamelle returned it to the river.

But it didn’t end there.

Every time Rhia threw her fishing line into the water, she would catch something in less than a minute.

The bait she used were different kinds of dim sums that were given to her by the white little bun that only said “Dim!” or “Dim Dim!”

She also caught dolphins, swordfish, Humpback whales, and even Beluga Whales.

In the end, Thirteen and Arthur didn’t catch anything because it seemed that Rhia was catching everything.

“Why don’t you just let Rhia become the patriarch of the Leventis Family then?” Queen Miriamelle proposed. “Or are you saying that she can’t do it?”

Thirteen and Arthur blinked once then twice before glancing at each other.

In the end, both agreed that Zion would hold the position of the Patriarch of the Leventis Family until Rhia came of age.

The fishing competition finally concluded with the little girl who managed to secure her future as the Matriarch of the Leventis Family sleeping peacefully in her mother’s arms.
