The bedroom was warm and quiet. The fire in the hearth crackled softly, throwing orange light across the big bed.
Leo lay on his back in the middle of the mattress, his chest rising and falling slowly.
Elara rested her cheek against his left side, her pale skin flushed pink. On his right, Celestia curled close, resting her bare arm over Seraphina’s flat stomach. Between Leo and Elara lay Seraphina, her golden hair spread over the dark pillows, her eyes closed in deep, peaceful sleep.
Deep inside Leo’s chest, his core kept working.
The three streams of magic he had drawn from the girls began to spin together. Elara’s ice, Celestia’s purple arcane magic, and Seraphina’s holy light mixed into one bright current, flowing straight into his center.
A deep pulse moved through his bones.
It was his Half-Incubus bloodline waking up after taking all three women.
Leo opened his eyes. A warm, red-gold light glowed from his palms.
Elara felt the heat against her skin and stirred. She blinked her dark lashes and looked up at him.
"Leo?" Elara whispered, her voice sleepy and quiet. "What is that light?"
Celestia lifted her head, her violet eyes wide as she felt the pull in the air. Seraphina woke up too, her breath catching as warmth spread over her lower stomach.
"Our circulation is not finished yet," Leo said, his voice calm and steady. "Our magic mixed together, but now we need to lock it in place."
Leo sat up slowly. He looked down at the three women beside him. Each was beautiful, and all three looked at him with complete trust.
"Lock it?" Celestia asked, pushing a damp strand of violet hair from her collarbone. "How?"
"With a mark," Leo said, his fingers resting on Celestia’s hip. "It links your magic directly to mine. It protects your body from any taint, makes your magic stronger, and lets us share our strength as one."
Seraphina looked down at her bare stomach, then met Leo’s gaze with steady warmth.
"Mark me first, Leo," Seraphina said softly, guiding his hand to her lower stomach with a gentle smile. "I want to belong to you."
Leo smiled, leaning down to kiss her forehead and then her lips.
"You will never have to bleed alone again, Seraphina," Leo said.
Leo placed his right palm flat over Seraphina’s lower belly, right above her womb. He pushed his warm magic into her skin.
A sudden, hot rush of energy shot through her.
"Ah...!" Seraphina gasped, her back arching off the bed as her hips pushed up into his hand.
A glowing line of gold light began to draw itself onto her pale skin. Two curved wings spread across her hips, and a winged heart formed below her belly button, framed by delicate holy runes that reached down toward her thighs.
"Ah... Leo!" Seraphina cried out, her fingers gripping his arm as intense pleasure flooded her lower body.
It did not hurt at all. A soothing, deep warmth spread through her lower stomach as their magic linked together.
With a soft flash of gold, the mark settled under her skin. It glowed with a steady pulse, beating in time with Leo’s heart.
Seraphina sank back into the pillows, tears of relief in her eyes. She ran her fingers over the warm gold mark.
"It feels so warm," Seraphina whispered. "The cold emptiness in my chest is gone."
Elara watched the golden crest pulse on Seraphina’s skin, her heart beating fast. Her ex-fiancé, Caelum Voss, had treated her like property to trade away. Leo had treated her like a person, kept her safe, and melted her coldness.
Elara moved onto her knees in front of Leo.
"Mark me next, Leo," Elara whispered, looking up at him with a quiet smile. "I am ready."
Leo smiled, catching Elara by the waist and pulling her against him. He placed his left palm flat on her lower stomach and channeled her ice magic through his core.
A bright frost-blue light spread across her pale skin.
The mark drew itself with clean lines. A crest of dark blue wings appeared, with a black heart in the middle and ice snowflakes curving along her hips.
"Leo...!" Elara threw her head back, letting out a sharp moan.
Her body clamped down hard, soaking the sheets as the mark completely washed away the last traces of the cold sickness she had carried since childhood. Her ice magic turned clean, strong, and steady.
When the light faded, the blue snowflake crest glowed softly on her skin. Elara fell against his chest, breathing hard, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Now I am yours," Elara whispered softly against his shoulder.
Celestia was already moving across the bed. She straddled Leo’s left leg, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pulled him down into a hard, deep kiss.
When she pulled back, she had a wild smile on her face.
"My turn," Celestia said, leaning in with a confident smile. "Put your mark on me too, Leo."
Leo placed his hand on Celestia’s lower belly and pushed her purple arcane magic back into her.
A bright purple flash lit up the bedroom.
The third mark took shape. A purple crest spread across Celestia’s hips, with an eight-pointed star and dark wings over her lower stomach.
"Yes! Give it to me!" Celestia cried out, rolling her hips against him as waves of pleasure hit her.
The fever that had burned inside her for five years broke completely. It turned into a deep, calm pool of purple magic that she could control without any pain.
She collapsed forward with a heavy shudder, burying her face into Leo’s neck, panting with pure relief.
The room went quiet again.
All four of them lay together on the big bed. Three glowing marks pulsed on the girls’ lower bellies.
Seraphina had the gold winged crest.
Elara had the blue snowflake mark.
Celestia had the purple star crest.
As the three marks beat together, lines of light connected all three girls to Leo’s chest. Their magic flowed back and forth in a steady loop. Every breath Leo took gave them strength, and every breath they took gave him energy.
Elara reached out and touched the gold mark on Seraphina’s stomach. Seraphina smiled and put her hand on Celestia’s purple star. Celestia rested her hand on Elara’s blue snowflake.
Three noble girls who used to be rivals or strangers were now bound to the same man and to each other.
"Look at us," Celestia said with a soft laugh. "a duke heiresses, a former future queen, and the holy saintess... all marked by the same man."
Elara let out a small scoff, leaning into Leo’s chest.
"It was their own fault," Elara said simply. "They were fools."
"And their loss," Seraphina added with a quiet smile, pulling the blanket up over them.
Celestia rested her head on Leo’s shoulder, smiling peacefully.
Leo put his arms around all three of them, pulling them close against his warm skin.
Outside the windows, the sky was just beginning to turn gray over Sovereign Hill.
Leo looked down at the three of them, feeling the steady heat of their bodies against his skin. In his past life on Earth, he had grown up as a lonely orphan, living in cold rooms and never knowing what it felt like to have a real home.
Now, with their soft breathing against his chest, a quiet warmth settled deep inside him. For the first time in two lives, he wondered if this was what love felt like.
Leo closed his eyes, holding his three women close, ready for the morning.
