Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Watching the Excitement

"Exactly! Why do only Superpower Users get to eat porridge? Are us normal folks just supposed to starve?"

"Who cut in line? That bowl of porridge was supposed to be mine!"

"So what if I cut in line? I can survive just fine even if I don’t join Thunderflame!"

Seeing that the tension was reaching its boiling point, Luna Dawson silently distributed countless intimate photos from her Space Ability straight into everyone’s arms. A faint smirk touched her lips as she handed her things to the youngsters and slowly made her way back to the car.

As Luna left, the registration area descended into sheer chaos. It had been relatively peaceful under the garrison’s watch, but now, a deafening uproar erupted.

In the crowd, the photos fluttered to the ground, scattering everywhere. Someone picked one up, glanced at it, and immediately shouted, "Holy crap! Susan Vaughn is actually cuddling with this guy!"

"Isn’t that the guy standing right next to her? Young Master Rivers just lost his legs, and she’s already cheating on him?"

"What a slut! And she still has the nerve to come here and put on a show as some great philanthropist?"

Susan’s face instantly drained of color. Panicking, she screamed, "Please don’t misunderstand! I really am Ron Rivers’s girlfriend! I’ll be back tomorrow to hand out more porridge! Don’t worry, everyone will get some!"

Those words instantly ignited the fury of the entire crowd.

"Girlfriend? What kind of girlfriend dares to cuckold her man?"

"Ron Rivers lost both of his legs, and this is how you treat him!"

"You cheap bitch! Attention whore!"

No one knew who threw the first snowball, but immediately after, an endless barrage of snowballs and empty bowls rained down on Susan and Ken Vance. The two of them scurried like rats, covering their heads in absolute disgrace.

Leon Miller, who was in charge of maintaining order, saw the escalating situation and thought, "Oh, no. This Susan is nothing but a troublemaker!" He quickly signaled to his soldiers. "Leave her! Fall back before we get caught in the crossfire!"

Those Superpower Users who had eaten the porridge and originally wanted to speak up for Susan took one look at the frenzied mob and instantly shut their mouths.

With hundreds of people cursing in unison, anyone who dared to step forward would just get beaten up. It was simply asking for trouble.

The resentment within the crowd grew heavier by the second. They hurled objects and shouted curses as the intimate photos fluttered all over the ground. Susan’s wails mixed with the crowd’s furious roars, creating a scene of absolute pandemonium.

In the car, Luna held a cup of milk tea, watching the spectacle with keen interest. "How is it? Quite a show, isn’t it?"

Miles Dawson eagerly kissed up to her. "Luna, you’re amazing! How did you do that? Let’s see if she ever dares to pull a stunt like this again!"

The rest of the people in the vehicle watched in stunned disbelief. Kevin Keane’s eyes were filled with amusement, his voice tinged with playfulness. "Little Boss, what exactly did you do?"

They had only seen her wandering around the area on her short little legs earlier, not doing anything out of the ordinary. How had the scene suddenly spiraled into such a frenzied, chaotic riot?

Everyone’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief. They stared intently at the out-of-control situation outside, then turned back to look at the incredibly nonchalant Luna, completely unable to figure out what had happened.

Sitting nearby, Evan Olson leaned back in his seat, lightly tapping his knee with his fingertips. His expression was calm, but he couldn’t hide his curiosity as he added, "Your methods are quite stealthy. You didn’t leave a single trace."

Luna’s lips curled into a dismissive smirk, her tone casual. "I just understand what it feels like to not have enough to eat. By the way, check inside your coats."

Hearing this, the others instinctively reached into the collars of their down jackets. The moment their fingertips brushed against the soft paper, two or three intimate photos tumbled out.

They hastily picked them up and examined them closely. The more they looked, the stranger their expressions became. Everyone had a few copies, adding up to over a dozen in total. They were all intimate shots of Susan and Ken from the day they had approached them. The two were acting extremely close, and the sight of Ken kissing Susan’s forehead was almost too gross to look at.

Kevin tucked the photos away and turned his head to look at Luna, who was happily enjoying the drama. With a complicated expression, he remarked, "Little Boss, you truly are a master of generating traffic." Although his words sounded teasing, a faint, imperceptible glimmer of approval hid in his eyes.

Evan finished flipping through the photos in his hand and gave a slight nod. "Ruthless. You directly cut off any chance she had of climbing the social ladder."

"Holy shit! You’re a total badass, Luna!"

Miles was thoroughly won over. He looked at Luna with eyes full of sheer admiration, practically worshipping the ground she walked on.

Rhonda Dawson actually laughed out loud. "This is really brilliant. It definitely works. She’s famous now."

"Wh... What’s going on?" Aaron Palmer was so shocked that he stuttered, quickly patting himself all over for fear that Luna had planted anything else on him. "How did I not feel a thing?!"

"It’s my Space Ability. I can teleport objects," Luna explained calmly, without a hint of unnecessary emotion.

"Badass!"

"My god!"

"What other surprises do you have that I don’t know about?"

Miles, Nancy Sullivan, and Aaron gasped in amazement one after another.

The smile in Shane Shaw’s eyes didn’t fade, though a touch of surprise lingered within them. He truly had to hand it to her.

He spoke in a hushed tone, "Luna, you’ve really taken your Space Ability to a whole new level."

After saying that, he glanced at Nancy. "Did you figure out she was going to stir up trouble early on?"

Nancy quickly shook her head. "I honestly had no idea."

Luna lifted her chin proudly. "Just tell me if it worked or not."

"It did!"

"Hahaha!"

The entire car erupted into boisterous laughter.

Although it was a bright and sunny afternoon, with the golden sunlight casting blinding reflections off the snow, everyone present knew very well that beneath this radiant surface, a dark abyss hid within the hearts of most people.

This farce thoroughly shattered Susan’s already crumbling public persona.

Susan and Ken were swept up in the crowd, bearing the brunt of countless people’s fury and verbal abuse.

To make matters worse, many people were hurling rock-filled snowballs at them. The very bowls she had handed out earlier when distributing porridge were now being used as weapons against her, pelting down on the two of them—SMACK, CRACK, CLATTER!

Shocked and enraged, Susan’s heart brimmed with confusion and pure malice. The garrison of the Eighth District had completely pulled out! Not a single one stayed behind to help her!

She had gone out of her way to deliver porridge to them just yesterday. How could it have been completely useless?!

"AHHH!"

A bloodcurdling scream tore from Susan’s lips.

A massive snowball packing a solid brick smashed directly into her face, and blood instantly gushed from her forehead.

She instinctively reached up to touch her face, consumed by absolute despair.

Her face!

Her proudest asset, her beauty!

Kevin leaned against the car window, tapping it lightly with his fingertips. "It seems our Little Boss couldn’t wait for her to leave the base. You decided to deal with her early."

Luna gave a soft scoff, her tone laced with arrogant disdain. "She brought this upon herself. She’s reaping exactly what she sowed!"

Evan rested his gaze on the battered and bruised pair, speaking in a flat tone, "It looks like any chance she had with the Ford Family is truly gone now."

An indeterminate amount of time passed before the squad responsible for clearing out mutated flora and fauna near the Seventh District rushed over to restore order.

Several warning shots rang out across the sky, finally bringing the chaotic scene to a gradual halt.

The crowd looked over to see Ken lying firmly over Susan, protecting her with everything he had.

Susan’s beautiful long hair had been scorched by someone’s fire superpower, burning away more than half of it. The pungent stench of burnt protein hung heavily in the air.

Ken was also covered in injuries. He lay paralyzed on the ground, drenched in blood, completely unable to stand.

Ultimately, the two of them were carried away from the scene on military stretchers...

However, the condemnation at the scene didn’t lessen with their departure.

The intimate photos, the sympathy for Ron Rivers, and the crusade against a woman like Susan who could only "share the wealth but not the hardship" spread across the entire base like a tidal wave...

Holding her milk tea, Luna took a slow sip. "Let’s leave it at that. I’ll finish dealing with her once we’re outside the base."

Evan smiled in response. "Alright. Whatever you say."

Watching Susan being carried away, not a single ripple disturbed the calm in Luna’s eyes. "Let’s go. Move out."
