"What the fuck? Clenching steel balls..? In the.. ug..? I originally thought you were a normal person. I didn’t expect you to be a pervert hiding among ordinary people!!"
Hillel looked at Hughie as if he were seeing him for the first time.
Hughie shook his head hard. "No, I’m not! I was talking about Butcher... No, that’s not it... You guys listen to me!!"
Robin stared at him in disbelief. "You usually hang out with Butcher just to do this?"
"Don’t, don’t look at me with that kind of gaze. I really am a normal person!"
Hughie explained frantically.
"Fine, fine. I don’t care how many you stuff in. Anyway... is it a deal?"
Robin reached out and pinched the soft flesh on Hughie’s waist.
"You’re embarrassing me! Hughie!"
Robin’s eyes looked like they could kill.
"I agree, I agree!!"
Hillel reached out his hand, then pulled it back.
"Never mind. I’m a germaphobe."
Hughie: "..."
The Guardian is kinda dick!
"Welcome to my professional team, Hughie!"
Hillel patted his shoulder. "Someone will contact you tomorrow to give you access to The Foundation’s financial system. You don’t need to work in the office. Remote supervision is fine. Of course, if you want to work at Vought, I can arrange a position for you."
"If you have any questions, call me."
Hillel pulled a business card out of his pocket and placed it on the coffee table.
Then he left.
He came with style, and he left with style.
No need to be obsessed with me. Bro isn’t interested in stuffing steel balls.
The door closed.
Hughie had expected a scolding.
Unexpectedly, Robin immediately pounced over and hugged Hughie’s arm.
"Hughie! Oh my god! The Guardian came to our house in person! And he asked for your help!"
"Do you know what this means? You’re going to supervise a fund of three hundred million dollars! Three hundred million!"
"Are we moving? Is there a salary? We can pay off the student loans!!"
Hughie didn’t answer.
"Fuck!"
He cursed under his breath and picked up his phone.
He dialed Butcher’s number.
...
Evening.
Hillel returned to the apartment.
Starlight was watching TV, dressed completely modestly. One look and it was clear she needed some youthful concepts instilled in her!
"Went out for a bit today and got The Foundation’s affairs sorted out."
Hillel floated over to Annie’s side.
"So fast? Who did you find, A-Train?"
"Just an ordinary... A-man!"
Annie didn’t press further.
She sat a little further away, looking wary.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
Annie hurried to open the door!
Hillel still had the lingering scent on his hands, and he was quite fired up!
Standing outside the door was a little blonde boy.
Behind the little boy stood a blonde man... a big boy.
Homelander and Ryan.
Homelander actually wasn’t wearing his battle suit. He had changed into casual clothes, a turtleneck sweater paired with khaki casual pants, looking like a damn normal person.
Simply unbelievable!
In the original show, it seemed like Homelander only wore casual clothes once, when he asked Sage to come out of retirement.
Looking at him like this... Annie thought, holy shit! He’s even a little handsome!
"Hi!"
Homelander gave Annie a smile.
It was the same old Homelander-style fake smile.
"Ryan said he wanted to come to The Guardian’s place to play. I said that The Guardian and I are good brothers, so what’s the problem with visiting a brother’s home?"
There was a hint of smugness in Homelander’s tone.
He looked down at Ryan.
"See, Daddy kept his word, right? We aren’t competitors, we’re friends."
Ryan looked up at Hillel inside the house.
Poor Homelander, once again held hostage by Ryan’s love.
"Welcome, little guy."
Hillel floated over with his legs crossed.
Ryan’s eyes lit up.
So cool!
Do you even float when you walk normally?
The corners of Homelander’s mouth curled up slightly, and his chest puffed out involuntarily, like a nephew seeing his ideal Uncle Jules.
His dog tail was almost wagging up to the sky.
...

...
Oh ho!
Homelander has such a tsundere side too?
So disgusting!
Get that away from me!
The two of them entered the house.
Homelander feigned familiarity, swaggering around the living room, sizing up Hillel’s apartment.
"Just this?"
He looked at the ordinary decor and furniture, his tone carrying a hint of disdain.
"You really don’t live as well as I do. Ryan, my place is huge. Next time, come play at Daddy’s place. When you’re tired, just go to sleep, don’t worry about your mother!"
Hillel glanced at Homelander.
"Bro, I’m not you. Why would I need a luxury renovation for a hookup pad? Isn’t doing it anywhere just doing it?"
Homelander’s mouth twitched.
The same familiar thunderous language.
"Ryan, see, Daddy is the civilized one. The Guardian is just..."
Ryan stood in the center of the living room, looking around curiously, showing no reaction to Homelander’s attempts to sow discord.
"Mr. Guardian, what do you usually do at home?"
"Play... games. Yes, just play games."
"Really?"
"Yeah." False.
Games aren’t as fun as Starlight.
Ryan’s eyes lit up. "My mom doesn’t let me play games..."
"Oh? Then you’re in for a treat!"
Hillel walked to the TV cabinet, turned on the PS5, and dug out "Mortal Kombat Vought" from the game library.
"Ever played it?"
"No! But I’ve watched videos!" Ryan ran over excitedly and took the controller.
"Annie." Hillel turned his head to look at Starlight.
"Hmm?"
"Go down and buy some food, beer, drinks, mineral water, peanuts, milk, chicken wings, sushi, porridge..."
Starlight had a face full of black lines.
"I’ll just buy a few family buckets, or pizzas."
Annie flew out from the balcony, accelerated in mid-air, and let out a sonic boom.
Homelander stood with his hands behind his back, watching the direction Annie left in.
"Starlight’s power... how come it feels like it’s gotten a lot stronger?"
"Special training every day, of course she’s growing fast!"
"Oh? Speaking of which, friends train together, right?" Homelander looked at Hillel expectantly.
"Get lost, you homo!"
Homelander: "???"
Half an hour later, Annie flew back carrying two pizza boxes, a case of beer, and a few large bottles of cola.
She was carrying the things by biting the plastic bag.
After all, hands are for doing serious business.
I mean flying, you pervert!
Hillel activated his Bio-field and dragged Starlight, who was off-target, back.
Her landing spot was a bit off.
"Phew! Almost crashed into the building!"
Annie landed steadily.
Ryan had already selected his character.
Still The Guardian.
Hillel sat down and chose Lamplighter.
In this version, Lamplighter is relatively strong; other heroes with cheap moves have been nerfed.
Especially The Guardian.
Hillel himself doesn’t even like him. Not even a dog would play The Guardian.
Annie sat cross-legged behind the two of them, watching them play.
The three of them looked like a family.
Old father Homelander stood behind the sofa. At first, he was still being tsundere, but suddenly he started to get the taste of it.
Wait!
It seems he is the one who is Ryan’s father, right?
How does it look like these three are living together!
"Um... I want to play too."
Homelander walked around to the front of the sofa, trying to squeeze in.
"Wait for the next round, John." Hillel didn’t even look up.
"But..."
"Dad, you just watch from the side for now." Ryan didn’t look up either, his eyes glued to the character list on the screen.
Homelander’s mouth twitched.
He looked around and eventually had to sit on the single sofa to the side.
All by himself.
Holding a bottle of beer.
Annie didn’t even buy the milk he likes to drink.
