Kate’s Point of View

"Who is that?" I asked Farrah

"Oh, that’s Monica," Farrah replied, and Monica started walking towards me.

I watched as she walked over to where I was standing. She was pretty. She was tall, with long red hair and brown eyes. She had on a short black skirt and a red belly shirt. You could see her red bra because the shirt was so small.

One thing I noticed was that the only thing we had in common was that we were both tall and skinny. I was more built than her. My breasts were fuller, and I had more curves. I could tell that she was just like the sluts that used to follow Derek around. The ones I always warned him about. Looking at her closely, I realized I had seen her before. She had come to the Bloodmoon Pack with Derek about two years ago. I didn’t even want to think about what they did that night.

"Hello, my name is Monica," She said with a sweet smile.

"I know. We met about two years ago. You came to the Bloodmoon Pack with my brother Derek. I am Kate," I replied, and her smile turned into a frown for a moment before she put the fake smile back on her face.

"Oh, you are Derek’s little sister, Kate. Well, I wanted to introduce myself to you. I am very close to the Alphas of this pack, so if you need anything, just let me know," Monica said

"That won’t be necessary," I replied

"Are you sure? Because I am really close to the Alphas, especially Alpha Nathan," Monica said

"Monica, this is Kate, you know, Alpha Ethan and Alpha Nathan’s Mate. The one they told you about," Farrah said

"Oh, really? I had no idea. I am so sorry. I thought their mate was someone more mature. You know, more their age," Monica said

"Mmm," I replied. I wasn’t dumb. I knew that she already knew that I was their mate. She was trying to get under my skin.

"Oh, and I wanted to apologize to you for what my cousin and some of the other females in the pack said to you. I heard they made you upset. I hope you are not offended. Everyone is just used to me being around the Alphas. They assumed that Alpha Ethan and Alpha Nathan would choose me as their chosen mate since they hadn’t found their fated one. You have nothing to worry about. I would never go after a mated wolf," Monica said

"Oh, I am not worried. Even if you were the type to go after them, I know they would never look your way now that they found me," I replied, and I knew Monica didn’t like what I had just said.

"Well, we should get going. It’s getting late," Farrah said. She seemed to be uncomfortable about the situation.

"Okay," I replied, and then I looked at Monica.

"See you around," I said. I could tell Monica was angry that she wasn’t getting the reaction she wanted out of me. Farrah and I walked away without looking back at her.

"You are something else. I knew we were going to be good friends. You didn’t let that girl get to you as most would have," Farrah said

"I know females like her. My brother dealt with plenty of them before he met his mate," I said

"Kate." I looked up to see Ethan and Nathan. As soon as we got close to each other, we stopped.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked

"We went up to our room to check on you, and you weren’t there. We were about to mind link Farrah when one of the maids told us that you were coming here," Ethan said

"Why would you bring her here without telling us? Why would you come here without letting us know?" Nathan said angrily. That ignored me

"I am not a pup. I don’t need your permission to go out," I said

"You are our mate. We need to know where you are at all times so that we can protect you," Nathan said

"I don’t need your protection, and as I said before, I am not a pup," I replied

"Then stop acting like one. Damn, I guess everyone was right. You are a spoiled, entitled Princess," Nathan growled.

"Nathan," Ethan said

Any other person would have been frightened by Nathan, but I wasn’t. I was pissed.

"You are an asshole," I said, and Nathan looked at me with a shocked expression on his face; then I could see a look of guilt.

"Kate, I..."

I didn’t wait for him to finish saying whatever he was going to say. I turned and walked away.
