Ethan’s Point of View

I was so pissed at Nathan for the way he spoke to Kate. Nathan had always had a temper and said things before he thought. That was why I was the one who normally led all of our meetings.

"Kate, wait up," I said as I caught up to her. She wouldn’t stop walking. I got in front of her and held her arm softly. I was shocked when I saw tears in her eyes. "Kate, don’t cry," I said softly. I had never spoken so softly in my life. I knew she was sad because of Nathan. I was going to beat his ass.

"I am not crying," Kate sniffled. Her arms were crossed over her chest.

"Nathan didn’t mean to make you sad, Kate. He was only worried about you. So was I. We didn’t know where you were and were worried when we went up to our room. Then, the maid told us that you were at the Lake with Farrah. Nathan just let his emotions get to him," I said

"So he acted like an asshole and said all of that to me because he was worried about me. That is a funny way of showing it," Kate said

"Don’t let him hurt your feelings," I said as I pulled her into a hug.

"He didn’t hurt my feelings. He just pissed me off," Kate said. I knew she was lying. I knew that it hurt her when Nathan said those things to her.

"Why don’t we go home and watch a movie together?" I said

"Okay, but I want to take a bath first," Kate said

"Whatever you want, Princess."

Nathan’s Point of View

"I am shocked you decided to come home after the way you acted tonight," Ethan said as I walked in.

"I need to talk to Kate," I said, and I tried to walk past, but he got in front of me. "Move."

"No. Kate is taking a bath in the bedroom. She doesn’t want to talk to you right now," Ethan said

"I know she is upset. I just want to talk to her," I said

"For what? To upset her more. You made her cry," Ethan said, and I felt a pain in my chest just thinking about her crying.

"What?"

"When I went after her after you called her an entitled, spoiled little princess, she had tears in her eyes. You hurt her feelings," Ethan said

"I didn’t mean to. I was just upset," I said. I felt so bad. I made my mate cry.

"Well, you need to learn how to control your anger. I know I have put up with your rudeness towards others. I have never made it a big deal before, but you hurt our mate. This is not okay. You can’t do that, Nathan," Ethan said

"I know. It won’t happen again," I said

"It better not," Ethan replied

Kate’s Point of View

While I was bathing, I couldn’t stop thinking about the way Nathan called me a spoiled, entitled princess. It wasn’t the first time someone had called me that. All my life, everyone saw me that way. I was the Alpha’s daughter, and everyone felt I got everything handed to me. Like I never worked to be where I was. It was true. My mom and dad gave me everything I ever needed. I never had to worry about anything, but my parents made sure I worked hard.

I had to work hard at everything I did. There was never a handout. I earned my own grades. When we trained in the pack, I worked hard to be where I was. Everyone always made it seem like my parents were the reason for my achievements, but that wasn’t the case. I worked hard and earned it.

It never really got to me when others said those things about me, but hearing those words come from Nathan did. He was my mate and shouldn’t feel that way about me, yet he did.

I sighed and got out of the bath. I put on a pink long T-shirt and some black shorts before walking into the bedroom. Ethan and Nathan were there, sitting on the bed when I came out. I honestly didn’t want to see Nathan because I was still upset and sad about what he said.

"Kate, can we talk?"

"I don’t want to talk to you," I replied

"Please," Nathan asked as he stared into my eyes. I wanted to say no, but seeing how desperate he looked, I sighed.

"Fine," I replied

"I will leave the two of you to talk," Ethan said after hugging me and kissing the top of my head.

I walked over to the bed and sat down. Nathan did the same. I was silent and waited for him to speak. After a moment, he spoke.

"Kate, I am so sorry for the way I spoke to you earlier."
