Chapter 293: Chapter 293 - Your Problem
Roxie pulled away and slowly looked toward the restroom door, then back at Zac. She grabbed the front of his hoodie.
"Move."
Zac followed her immediately as she pulled him toward the stalls. Roxie opened the farthest cubicle, dragged him inside, and locked the door as quietly as she could.
For the first few seconds they simply stood there pressed together in the cramped space while two boys walked farther into the restroom.
Zac looked down at her.
He was smiling.
Roxie pointed at him and mouthed, "Your fault."
He nodded like he had no problem accepting responsibility. "This is the second time we nearly got caught in a restroom."
That almost made her laugh. She grinned and pinched his side.
One of the boys started talking about some assignment while the other answered, and Roxie tried listening only enough to figure out whether they were leaving soon.
Then footsteps moved closer and a stall door opened beside them.
Roxie’s eyes widened.
Zac looked down.
Her shoes were clearly visible beneath the cubicle.
Fuck.
She looked at him.
He looked at the floor again.
Then toward the toilet.
Roxie immediately understood what he was thinking.
She shook her head. "No."
Zac covered his mouth to stop himself from laughing and mouthed, "yes."
He pointed toward her shoes as the footsteps got louder.
Then the boy entered the stall beside them.
Roxie stared at Zac for another second before giving up.
Zac lowered the toilet lid and sat down, then he held both hands toward her.
Roxie looked at him like this was somehow his most ridiculous idea yet, which was impressive considering he had summoned her into the men’s restroom in the first place.
The boy beside them shifted around.
Roxie had no choice.
She stepped closer and carefully sat sideways across Zac’s lap, pulling both feet off the floor so her shoes disappeared beneath the partition.
The second she settled against him, Zac’s hands found her waist. He tugged her in closer, and before she could protest he kissed her, slow at first, then deeper, mouths moving quietly in the tiny space.
Roxie melted into it almost immediately, one hand sliding up into his hair while the other stayed braced on his shoulder. The kiss turned hungry fast, his tongue slid against hers while he pulled her tighter.
Then he started moving her, a slow, subtle rocking motion of his hips that made her feel him again, hard and unmistakable beneath her.
It was too ridiculous. She nearly giggled into his mouth.
How the hell could Zac do this while the boy in the next cubicle was clearly fighting for his life?
Zac only answered by breaking the kiss long enough to drag his mouth down to her neck, licking slow and deliberate against her pulse.
The smell from the next stall was already growing worse.
Roxie grabbed both of his ears, still faintly red from earlier, and tugged, trying to pull him back.
He just grinned and tightened his hold on her waist, guiding her to press harder against him.
"Stop," she whispered right against his ear.
Zac stopped, but he looked completely dazed, lips parted, eyes dark. "I’m sorry," he whispered back, still grinning too much for it to be sincere.
The boy beside them shifted again. "Bro, I told you I can’t eat dairy." The boy in the next cubicle cried out which was met by a hearty laugh from the other boy.
Roxie stayed frozen on Zac’s lap, heart racing, trying not to laugh at how absurd the entire situation had become. She bit his lower lip, just hard enough to make him inhale sharply, then whispered against his mouth,
"This is your fault."
Roxie broke the kiss just long enough to whisper, "How long is he going to be in there?"
Zac shrugged, then pulled her mouth back to his.
Then the stall beside them went completely quiet.
Roxie waited.
Zac waited.
A second later, the loudest fart Roxie had ever heard exploded through the cubicle beside them.
Her whole body jerked.
Zac’s eyes went huge.
Roxie stared at him.
For one awful second, neither of them moved.
Then Zac’s shoulders started shaking again.
Roxie immediately grabbed his face with both hands.
"No."
His lips were pressed together so tightly that his cheeks puffed slightly.
Roxie was already losing it herself.
Another smaller fart came from the next stall.
That finished her.
She buried her face against Zac’s shoulder and silently laughed so hard her stomach hurt while Zac wrapped both arms around her and pressed his face against her hair, his entire body shaking underneath her.
The guy outside apparently noticed something because the next stall went quiet again.
Roxie froze.
Zac froze too.
They waited.
Then one of the boys near the sinks said, "Bro."
The guy in the stall answered, "Fuck off."
Roxie nearly died.
Zac slapped one hand over her mouth before she could make a sound. Her eyes watered while she fought laughter against his palm.
He leaned close to her ear. "You’re going to get us caught."
Roxie pulled his hand away and whispered, "Me? You’re shaking the fucking toilet."
Zac bit his lip and looked away because apparently looking at Roxie made it worse.
That immediately made her laugh harder.
She buried her face against his shoulder again.
For several minutes they stayed like that, her still on his lap, his arms around her, both of them trying and failing not to shake with silent laughter, while the boys outside continued insulting each other. Roxie could barely breathe properly by the time the stall beside them finally opened.
The sink turned on.
More laughing outside.
Then the restroom door opened and closed.
Silence returned.
Roxie stayed sitting on Zac’s lap for another few seconds because neither of them trusted themselves yet.
Then she slowly lifted her head.
Zac looked at her.
Roxie looked back.
They both started laughing properly.
Roxie covered her face. "Oh my fucking God."
Zac leaned back against the toilet. "That was disgusting."
"You brought me here."
His eyebrows rose. "How is his fart my fault?"
"Everything that happened in this restroom is your fault."
"That seems unfair."
"You called me here because you couldn’t survive lunch without kissing me."
"I missed you."
Roxie stared at him.
Zac smiled.
Roxie shook her head, but her own smile came back. "You’re crazy."
"Probably."
"And this was stupid."
"Definitely."
Roxie wrapped both arms around his neck.
"I kind of liked it."
Zac’s grin widened.
"Yeah?"
"Don’t get confident."
"Too late."
She leaned in and kissed him quickly.
Zac immediately tried turning it into another one.
She pulled back laughing. "No."
"One more."
"You’ve had enough."
"Babe."
Roxie narrowed her eyes.
He smiled.
She gave him another quick kiss anyway.
"There."
"That barely counts."
"You summoned me into a bathroom, made me hide in a cubicle, got me trapped beside somebody destroying a toilet, and now you’re complaining about the quality of your kiss?"
"When you put it like that, it sounds bad."
"It was bad."
"You were laughing.
"That doesn’t make it good."
"You said you liked it."
Roxie pointed at him.
"I can change my answer."
Zac laughed.
Roxie finally stood and fixed her skirt while Zac got up behind her. She unlocked the stall, then turned toward him before opening it.
He looked down at the obvious hard line still straining the front of his pants, then back up at her with a hopeful little raise of his eyebrows.
"Are we done?"
Roxie giggled, already stepping out of the cubicle.
"Not my problem."
She checked the restroom, empty, then slipped into the hallway before anyone could catch her inside the men’s restroom, still smiling as the door swung shut behind her.
