Chapter 13 -Time Passes

Entering the dining hall where the Hero Party was currently eating at, the maids and butlers nearby showed no sign of surprise. Ever since the Hero accepted this demon girl's clone peeping, he told the servants of this new guest who may be around for a while.

Inviting the girl to eat with them, when they were done, the demon girl looked as stuffed as a ballon before suddenly deflating.

"You demons sure can eat a lot without gaining weight. I am jealous." The witch said this while poking her now flat tummy trying to see where all of the food went.

"We normally eat the food and crops grown in the demon race territory which has been oversaturated with mana. Thus our bodies have evolved to be able to just turn all food into mana and simply subsist on mana or something. I dunno, it was something another clone found out while dissecting their own body."

With that slightly disgusting descriptor over, the others all sat and lounged around for a while. This was the truest portrayal of the famed Hero's party that everyone knows and counts on.

Since demon troubles were rather sparse before, most of the time they were all simply lounging about while waiting to be called to head on to their next destination.

Especially with the roles and positions that each member was a part of.

The Knight was the Eldest princess of the strongest Empire of Humankind known as the Aloph Empire. As a princess, she is used to being pampered and cared for, but has always been interested in knight stories so she trained as one.

The Priest of the party was actually the Saintess of the Church who was originally sent to watch over the Hero's party and see if he has potential to become a problem after saying the Demon King. This was a problem many years ago where a hero became a tyrant after he slayed his demon king and wreaked havoc throughout the human realm before eventually getting dealt with and sealed away by the church.

Thus every Saintess has a goal that when they are born near the age of the hero that they be sent to watch over them in case he becomes a treat to the human world.

Of course, this hero has no tendencies in that manner so the Saintess's job currently was to do her best alongside the hero to slay the demon king before heading back to become the spiritual leader of the White church.

As for the Hero Luke and Witch girl Wendy, both of them were sort of picked up and placed in this role to help in the fight against the Demon King. They did not have any special bloodline, just their talent. They were just the most suited for their roles.

While just lounging about, the Hero went and asked something that was bothering him for quite a while.

"Just how strong is your main body? Even, how strong are her regular clones?" He asked.

She then looked at him with surprise before responding back.

"Are you sure you want to know? And do you think you can trust whatever a clone like me says?"

"If you are willing to ask that without prompting, it only adds credence to whatever you say." The hero said.

The other members of the party were rather curious as well. After all, she would likely be the next generation Demon King. If they had even an inkling of her capabilities before hand it would be much easier for them in the end. There is also the fact that they were all dealt with by a clone that she made at will so they were feeling a little indignant at the fact.

"Well alright. If you say so. Now, I already have precautions on this regard placed by the main body, but what I can tell you is that at this point the princess is at most 16 years old and the simulation you fought was with her years ago and she has only been training harder ever since." The demon clone said. She then laid out and melted onto the table while watching the servants nearby fall into a cold sweat.

Alongside them was the whole hero's party. they knew that the answer they were going to hear was rather monstrous so they were slightly prepared, but it seems the situation was a bit more volatile than expected.

Then she laid flat as she simply released her own aura so that others could appraise her stats at will. By that, of course I mean that only the hero was allowed to sense it fully.

"Peak of Intermediate Space magic? Then why do you have all of the various abilities that you have?" The hero asked. Then he pondered himself and found that the answer was rather simple really. His guess was really confirmed by what she said next.

"Main body helped to develop her Space and Mind Magic to the fullest so she made a whole new series of spells for every level that those of that level can easily crush anyone of their level without a thought."

A sense of uneasiness came across the entire group as the demon girl then fell into a silent slumber. This silence was then only interrupted by the Witch girl.

"We should simply worry about these things later. After all, she will only become the Demon King once we slay the one that already exists. And this is a problem closer to us, but potentially more annoying for us. After all, the demon king was willing to swindle us into fighting her in the first place when she was originally more on the neutral side." She said.

Her interruption served to calm down the group's wilder and wilder imagination. It also calmed down the servants who took this opportunity to leave to report to their respective masters. Ignoring their actions, the hero party then calmed down and all of them began studying their respective gifts they obtained during their raid on the Demon King Castle.

After a week more of training and searching, a few of them even decided to ask the demon clone for help deciphering and understanding how to use their newfound knowledge, namely Wendy who sought to call the clone her master but was declined.

It was then that they found the clone actually had a name of her own separate from her main body. It was Felicia.

During this time, the hero party had grown even stronger, namely Wendy Magi who was then able to master her spell book on Water magic and now was able to add attributes to his water like Raging or Heavy. Then the next changes were that the Saintess Mellie had returned to the church and exchanged the lost chapter of the Codex with direct one to one teaching from an elder of the church. Finally, through the research of the archaeologists of the Aloph empire, Vanessa Aloph was able to harness the dormant power of the shield that was once belonging to the Hero of an ancient dynasty that fought the Original Demon King.

In contrast, the scale that Luke obtained did not give as obvious of an effect to his growth. Instead, it actually helped him to discover how to use more of his bloodline as the scale he obtained was that of a deceased Sacred Dragon of Light.

With it, his mutated Light magic was able to reach the limit if the Eight level which prove dot increase his strength a lot further than expected.

Of course, as the main body had made puppets of the various bloodlines of Divine beasts, the blood of the hero was also sneakily taken as well and stored into the Akashic Records. Unfortunately, this was only after the main body fell into a slumber. This was known because although the puppet was still a while away, she could sense the condition of the main body through the connection between both sides.

After all, even if she had an independent mind and soul, she was still a part of the clone spell casted by Alice anyways. Since she gave her some of her permissions in the Akashic Records, she had one of the clones that were mindlessly studying in the Akashic records to come outside and add extra protection for Alice.

The main body did not realize she would fall into such a deep slumber so she only had sent the puppets to guard her. Thankfully, having the secondary permissions in the Akashic Records allowed her to do command them in real time to better hide her body from outside prying.

After some time passed in the day, the hero party was finally once again called by the emperor to his hall once more.

"Welcome, Hero of our Aloph family! We have now discover signs of the direct whereabouts of the fortress belonging to one of the Demon Generals, Malica of the Sky. Prepare to head out to their fortress by early tomorrow and good luck to you all." The emperor stated from his throne.

"I will do my best to fulfill the duty of the Hero." Luke had said in response.

With that, the goal for the next period of time was clear. To head out to the mountains that Malica was hiding in and slay their next Demon General!

Then the hero party was sent to another room with a general of the human empire who gave him the map of the location of the suspected fortress deep within the Warcraft Mountains.

So they all began to pack up their things to head out to the capital to obtain any resources and items they could need for this venture.

Because they were all splitting up and obtaining supplies, the demon Felicia decided to go ahead and obtain some things of her own. Of course, she kept an eye on the others with her spatial perception while doing so. Then she went ahead and received plenty of spices and other things in anticipation for this sort of adventure.

While they go out exploring, she will be watching them from a distance since she should not support them in any way during their hero exploits.

This is because both the hero party being too prideful and not wanting to rely on their future potential enemy's clone while growing on their adventure.

"Makes my life a bit easier." The demon girl said under her breath. Then, something odd happened within her spatial perception. The hero in her perception suddenly split into three separate signatures.

"Are they trying some funny business to try to escape my surveillance?" She muttered. Then she casted a new spell quickly.

Mirror Reflection

Using the properties of mirrors, she was able to send out drops of water that reflected light and thus reflected what she could see with her mirror. Using it, she could surveil all three hero targets all at once.

This was a spell she did not show in front of the hero and is one that was transformed by her main body a long time ago. It was passed over and neglected by the main body since her spatial perception could also project eyes and ears at a distance as well.

But for someone at the limited level of this clone, it was more than enough.

When the hero could sense an eye on himself, he knew that his cover was blown and commanded the doppelgängers wielding special hidden cloaks to emulate the aura of another person to be stopped and returned.

This was a plan to try to avoid the eyes of Alice. Although they did not know if she would become an enemy, at the very least it would be more advantageous to them if they could avoid her surveillance.

Of course, they did not know that she was currently out of it. Otherwise, they might have planned a different operation.
