The boss took a drag from his cigarette but got nothing. He glanced down and realized only half of it remained; the other half had vanished long ago.

He tossed the cigarette to the ground and looked at his number two.

"Number Two, go on! This time, you can really let loose."

His number two grunted in affirmation and charged into the crowd.

In the middle of the crowd, Leng Yuan sent one man flying with a kick, then smashed his fist into another’s body. The man’s shoulder caved in, and the impact numbed his entire chest. With half his body useless, Leng Yuan kicked him away. The man collapsed to the ground, wailing, unable to even get back up.

Another one down.

The remaining men were terrified, their attacks growing timid and hesitant. But Leng Yuan didn’t let them off. As his fists flew, they could even hear the wind whistle past.

’Just how powerful is he!’

The thought had barely formed when a fist connected with his head. He dropped to the ground, stiff as a board, and passed out.

Knocking someone out with a single punch—the force behind it was clearly immense.

The boss stared at his man on the ground and cursed under his breath, ’Useless.’

The next moment, a trickle of blood flowed from the man’s ear.

The boss: "..."

As expected, Leng Yuan took care of the remaining men.

These traffickers usually just drugged their victims and carried them off. In terms of actual fighting ability, they had none to speak of. They were just a bit more vicious and reckless than the average person, but not truly formidable.

Leng Yuan could lift a wild boar weighing several hundred pounds with his bare hands. When he was truly angry, breaking a bone with a single punch was nothing out of the ordinary for him.

Gu Jiaojiao stood to the side, worried at first. But as she watched the traffickers fall one by one, she began to relax.

But the longer she watched, the more she felt something was off. Leng Yuan was ruthless with the others, disabling them with a single blow. Yet when he faced his number two, his attacks looked ferocious but never actually connected.

Then, Leng Yuan took the man down with a shoulder throw and started walking toward the boss.

The boss panicked and fumbled for a weapon. In his nervousness, he drew his dagger backward. When he realized, he quickly flipped it around, only to find it was still sheathed. He hurriedly tossed the sheath aside.

"Y-you, stay back."

Leng Yuan paid him no mind and moved to attack.

But with a THUD, the boss dropped to his knees before Leng Yuan.

"Brother, I was wrong! I really know I was wrong! I was blind not to recognize a great man like you. Please, be the bigger person and forgive my foolishness. Let me go! I’ll turn over a new leaf, I swear! I’ll become a new man."

Leng Yuan chuckled. "Not bad with the idioms."

In the next instant, before the boss could react, Leng Yuan dislocated both of his arms.

The boss: "..."

"Hey! I already said I was sorry! That’s a cheap shot! You have no honor!"

Leng Yuan ignored him and pulled a syringe from the back of the man’s waistband.

The moment he saw the syringe, the boss’s expression changed dramatically, his face twisting into a vicious snarl.

"You saw?"

The boss had knelt and apologized, holding the hand with the dagger behind his back. It looked like a gesture of fear, but he was actually reaching for the syringe.

He was waiting for his pleas to move Leng Yuan, waiting for that one moment of weakness to inject the drug into him.

Just a tiny bit was all he needed, and Leng Yuan would be paralyzed.

He never imagined that his foolproof trick would be completely useless against Leng Yuan.

Leng Yuan toyed with the syringe, offering a kind explanation. "You’re so good with idioms. Didn’t your teacher ever tell you the story of the farmer and the snake?"

The boss: "..."
