At the same time Arad was asking Molana’s maids for their opinion, he was having a conversation with Kali about Molana’s nature. His body in the Private Quarter back home sighed. He was walking down the hallway with a maid, short black hair, beautiful build, and eyes as black as coal.
He stopped, looked at the door by their side, and reached toward the handle. "We arrived." He called the maid to stop, and she did, looking at him. "She is behind this door, right? Lady Kali."
This maid had been orphaned when young and had spent many years on the streets and hiding in a half-forgotten shrine of Kali in a village far west. "Yes, but... I’m warning you. This might be the scariest experience in your life. I don’t mean any insult, but you a regular human, cannot endure her face."
The maid gulped, looked at the door, and could feel all the blood draining form her body. Behind it hides an absolute monster, and she wanted to see it.
This maid has seen Kali’s little girl form before. That’s how she spends most of her time in the private quarters. Seeing a child like her running in this place was concerning, even if she knew that it was a mere illusion, a mercy she showed to the human eyes and soul.
As Arad pushed the door open and they walked inside, what they found themselves in was a cute, pink and white room decorated with toys, stuffed bears, and flowers, looking exactly like the room you’d imagine the spoiled child of a noble family would live in.
As they walked inside, they could see Kali in her little girl form sitting on the bed, playing with two dolls. The dolls were of women: one old, who seemed in her late forties, with strands of white hair, a mean mug, and winter clothes, and on the other hand, Kali carried the doll of a beautiful blond bandit woman with a scar on her face.
Looking to the side, the maid could see two whole boxes filled with such lifelike dolls. She had seen them before. Kali sometimes carried one or two outside with her to play with, and the maids always played with her.
Kali looked at Arad and the maid, smiled, spoke. "This one here... she didn’t hate big things. They hurt too much. She preferred them short, small, and fresh." She show the maid the bandit’s doll.
"What?" The maid tilted her head, and Kali grabbed the doll’s pants, pulled them down, then took the underwear off. What the hell? Why would a doll have genitals? And such realistic ones at that?"
"This one... she was nasty." Kali took her pinky finger and started forcing it up the hole. The doll screamed so loudly that the maid was forced to cover her ears with both hands. Blood came out, and Kali kept pushing her finger up until it came out from above, tearing the doll’s head off.
Kali pulled her finger off. The blood evaporated, and the doll fixed itself in less than a second. She looked at it with a smile, and then threw it back into the pile of dolls as she hopped toward Arad and the maid.
Those weren’t dolls, but actual living people, cursed, shrunk, and paralyzed by Kali’s demonic magic. "Arad, you came to talk about that one called Molana."
He pointed at the maid. "First, she begged me to let her see your true form." The maid was already tearing up, still stunned by the doll’s scream.
Kali looked at the maid. "She’ll die. As much as I can restrain my demonic magic in my true form, standing beside her will be like throwing a fireball at a candle." Hearing that, the maid calmed herself, knelt down, and looked at Kali’s face. "Is there really no way?"
Kali shook her head. "Sadly, no." Tapped the maid on the face. "And I’m not talking about raw strength. If you had it in you, you would’ve came here to see me alone."
As the maid looked sad, Kali smiled. "But I can do something. Stand up." As the maid did that, Kali clapped her hands. "Turn around, close your eyes, and never open them up no matter what. Also, relax and don’t resist no matter how painful it gets." She then looked toward Arad. "If she thinks about opening her eyes, gouge them out. If she sees even one of my nails, her soul will be evaporated."
The maid was already sweating. "How painful are we talking?"
"Burning, since your body can’t even fathom demonic magic, it’ll feel like you’re standing beside a searing fire. If I touch you, it’s like getting burned by red-hot iron."
The maid turned around, closed her eyes, and suddenly she felt hot -so hot that it hurt- and that wasn’t all. The heat was getting stronger and stronger, hotter than any kitchen stove or forge. "I’m two meters behind you, and not even at full power."
Kali then shifted back to her small form, and the maid fell to her knees, and her face hit the floor. She was drenched in sweat and tearing up. Kali approached in her small form, stepped on her head, and smiled. "This is why you aren’t allowed around me when I’m using my true form. It’s because I hate you, or because someone is hiding something. You just won’t survive near me."
"Leave on your own. Arad has matters to discuss with me. Seek Lunara. I’m sure if you beg her long enough, and if you look pathetic enough that she feels bad for you, she’ll take you under her wing and slowly acclimate you to demonic magic." Kali shrugged. "Also, Lunara is quite busy. She doesn’t even have time to play with Arad as much as she wants, so I’m certain she might beat you up a few times if you keep begging her, but just endure. She’ll eventually cave in. She always does."
As the maid barely managed to crawl out of the room, Kali took her true form, and stretched, sat on the bed, and waved her six hands at Arad. "For Molana... It’s better to treat her as a succubus instead of an elf."
Arad sat by her side, and she quickly hopped on his lap. "If you starve a human long enough and show them nothing else, they’ll eat shit and think it’s the best food ever. She is in the same boat. Locking her up was a wrong thing to do."
Arad nodded. "Treat dragons like dragons, humans like humans, and demons like demons. She isn’t crazy. She is a literal demon of lust in an elf body." He looked at Kali’s beautiful face. "And the solution?"
"Simple: what do you do to a starving woman locked in a prison for decades? You take her out, feed her, and let her slowly relax and acclimate to the real world. Give her a few years, and she should be stable."
Arad blinked, and he was back at the elves’ quarter. Having several bodies was indeed useful. "Molana," He spoke, and she gasped. "Yes."
"Go stand with your maids, keep your hands at your sides. I’ll deal with you later." Hearing that order, she prostrated herself again, smiled, and headed back to stand with her own maids.
Arad then looked at them. "If any of you have a grudge against her, feel free to take it back in any shape you wish. Beat her, torture her, kill her, anything. Don’t worry, I’ll keep her alive. If I’m taking any of you with me, I want everything to be clean." His eyes moved toward, "Molana, you okay with that, right?"
"Yes, as you wish."
With that, Arad shifted his attention back to Hathfield, "Now, shall we talk about your wine?"
