The dragon's harem

Chapter 2246: The Princesses Private Quarter VI

Hathfield shivered, gasped, and her head turned toward him with a huge blush and a sweaty face. Her bottle had been sitting on the table, waiting for a while now, and it was finally time to open it.

Both of her sisters seem to have gotten Arad’s attention in their own way, so she was the only one left, and the only thing she got was a bottle of powerful wine. She didn’t like her odds, but sadly... she couldn’t back away now.

She was shaking, sweating, and looked like a mess.

Looking down at herself, she was so sweaty that her drenched dress was almost translucent, clearly showing that she wore no underwear beneath it. Her optimal plan was to get Arad drunk and then have her way. Wearing only the dress would’ve made her situation easier.

"My Lord, may I excuse myself for a minute to change? As you can see..." This dress covered nothing now.

Arad leaned forward. "No need. You can strip and change here if you want. But that won’t be necessary." Hearing his tone grow deeper, she started shaking, wondering why his attitude toward her had changed.

He reached forward, put a finger on the bottle of wine, and wiggled it a bit. "To be honest, the only reason I haven’t killed or smacked you across the room is that you’re Li’s sister. If you were anyone else, you would be dead by now."

Hearing that, Hathfield pissed herself on the spot and fell on her butt as her knees gave out. Why? How, where? As all of those questions raced through her head, Arad kept talking. "The reason is this bottle of wine, and it is why I asked you to wait until last."

"Answer me truthfully, as I can tell when you lie."

Hearing that, she nodded so hard that she smacked her head on the table, splitting her forehead open. "Yes! Please ask away! Anything!"

Arad healed her wound with a flick, and then started asking questions.

"First, do you know what this wine is?" He pointed at the bottle, and she nodded. "Albian black wine... was it... offensive to offer?"

Arad could read her thoughts, and that was the truth she believed, so Arad sighed. "You just dodged death. Relax. There is no helping it if you didn’t know what you were giving away." He lifted the bottle and gave it a quick look.

"This isn’t Albian black wine. This bottle is filled with Demonic Blood Wine. One spoon can kill Cerilla, Isdis, and Sara here... one drop can kill everyone else." He shook the bottle. "Even Demon Lords dilute it, using a single tiny cup in a large barrel of whatever drink they wanted, like blood."

"What?" Hathfield gasped, and so did everyone else. "This is an assassination attempt on my wives and me, and whoever gave it to you didn’t care about your life either."

Arad flipped the bottle with a smile on his face, grabbed the bottom with his palm, and started twisting it. A second later, the bottle bottom cracked, breaking off as a clean disk.

Then, with a casual smile, Arad poured the entire bottle into an empty water mug until the last drip. And for the empty bottle, he erased it using his void, so not a single drop would be left behind.

Everyone in the room stared at it, and then Isdis spoke. "Is it that dangerous? I heard about it from Lunara..." She looked at the wine and couldn’t believe that such a thing existed.

"Even as a goddess, this wine is saturated with inert demonic magic bearing the mark of destruction. It’ll start eating away at your mana or divine magic, break it down, cause hallucinations, and eventually kill you. Demons are naturally resistant to it by nature, but even to them, their bodies can barely break it down fast enough." He crossed his arms. "Even as a goddess, I bet your newly formed divine body won’t be able to break it down fast enough and will get torn from the inside out."

She looked closely at the black liquid. "Didn’t you try it before? Or was it diluted?" Arad did try it once before in the abyss, but that was indeed diluted. Compared to that, this bottle that Hathfield had produced was more than ten times stronger, and if Kali didn’t warn him, many would’ve died today.

"Can I try it?" Isdis asked with a curious gaze, and Arad smiled. "Why not?" He reached toward the glass of wine, touched the surface with the tip of his finger, and picked up a single droplet.

Isdis opened her mouth wide, and she pushed his finger into her mouth. She took it all in with ease, and she even sucked on it for a few seconds before Arad pulled his finger away.

She sighed with a satisfied smile, opened her eyes with a blush, and spoke. "It isn’t that bad..." But at that moment, the entire world flipped in front of her eyes, and before she knew it, her face was resting in Arad’s hand as her entire body twitched.

She wasn’t in pain, but drunk beyond belief. The Blood Wine was oily, and it refused to mix with spit, so it raced down the throat in seconds, reached the guts, and diffused into the blood. That was why it was called Blood Wine. It turns the blood of whoever drinks it into a powerful toxin.

Isdis’s divine body took a whole minute to break down that single drop, and she sat up, shaking and confused. "What... did happen?" She mumbled, and Arad looked at her with a smile. "You got drunk."

Cerilla stared at her with a grin. "You pissed yourself and were mumbling something about wishing that Arad put the droplet on his thing instead of his finger, since you love sucking that."

Isdis’s blush got stronger, and she looked around the room. Cerilla wasn’t lying... "Rey, Ray... I’ll need a change of clothes." She stood, looked at herself, and gave Arad a bow. "If you’ll excuse me. I’ll be back in a moment."

Arad nodded. "Rey, Ray, keep her protected." The two bowed to him and then followed Isdis out of the room.

"As you can see... Hathfield. This wine of yours could’ve killed everyone else here." As Arad looked at her, he could see that she was on the verge of death, having gone pale as snow.

Arad reached forward, grabbed the glass of blood wine, and smiled. "A single teaspoon can kill a goddess... whoever gave this to you wasn’t playing around. They wanted everyone dead, so I’ll have you spill their names out. I suggest you start talking on your own."

He then lifted the glass up, "Cheers!" And in front of everyone, downed it all in a single gulp, causing Cerilla and his other wives that remained to almost shit themselves.

"What are you doing?!" Jasmine cried. Cerilla stood, and everyone stared in shock, but Arad laughed with a satisfied smile. "Ah, don’t worry. This thing can’t kill me."

Whoever gave the wine to Hathfield had grossly underestimated Arad’s horrifying power and endurance. This wine that could kill gods was useless against him for many reasons, the biggest of which is that he can pick and choose what gets digested in his stomach and what can’t. The Tarrasque Blood, Pricolichi blood, Kali’s demonic mark, and his own powerful Void Dragon blood.

"Hathfield.... oh, Hathfield..." Arad leaned forward and glared right into her eyes. "Who gave you this?"

"I... I... had the... court wizard procure it for me..."
