Thud... thud... thud...
The huge carriage, guarded by 20 first rate martial artists, was going through the forest at its own pace. The road was clear, and covered with several huge and small mid-sized trees on the left and right.
Whoosh...
The leaves on the branches were fluttering relentlessly.
And inside the huge carriage sat Wolryung and Jin Ho while the chubby boy was snoring on a corner.
“Snore... snore...”
“Huuuuu...”
Wolryung let out a deep breath as he rested his chin on his hands, leaning against the window, enjoying the view of the forest.
‘It’s been a month since I came to this world. But it still feels unreal to me.’
No matter how much he thought about it, it seemed totally ridiculous to him. Transmigrating to a Murim novel right after dying? These types of things only fit in fiction, not in real life.
‘But it feels so real...’
Indeed. No matter how ridiculous it seemed, it still felt so real.
‘Argh! Forget it. I don’t wanna think about it anymore.’
Thud... thud... thud...
Now, Wolryung was thinking about something else while watching the trees pass by.
‘Now that I think about it...’
After the arrival inside the novel, it was all a mess. No matter how he thought about it, he couldn’t understand a single thing. First he got a tiny ghost ancestor instead of a system.
‘Ah, wait!’
Suddenly, Wolryung realized something.
‘Where is the ancestor?!’
After waking up from the coma, there were so many things to handle that he had completely forgotten about Ma Cheon Jo. Though, the only thing he did was scheming against people.
Ahem!
Anyway that wasn’t important. What was important was that he hadn’t seen Ma Cheon Jo since the time he woke up.
‘Did something unexpected happen?’
Hm...
Wolryung couldn’t think about anything that could happen. So, he just smiled softly as he closed his eyes.
‘Well, it’s not my problem. If anything it’s a good thing.’
Was there anything better than the fact that the talkative ancestor who could do almost nothing, disappeared? Though he had some uses, the fact that for that use Wolryung needed to gamble his own life...
‘Yep, it’s better if that bastard ancestor disappeared. I hope he never comes back.’
He had almost died because of that ancestor, after all.
Thud... thud... thud...
Wolryung moved from the window and leaned back to his seat, staring straight at the ceiling of the carriage.
“Sigh...”
“Is there something wrong, young master?”
At the question of Jin Ho, Wolryung lifted his head toward him.
“Well, there is none. You can sleep a bit. We have many guards now. So, you don’t need to worry.”
“...I’m fine, young master.”
“Don’t argue and just sleep.”
It was expected that Wolryung was worried a bit about Jin Ho. It had already been three days since they left the Western Sichuan Alliance Branch. But Jin Ho hadn’t slept for a single moment since then. At this rate he would die from the lack of sleep.
“No... I...”
At that moment, seeing Jin Ho refusing to sleep like that, Wolryung lost his temper and shouted loudly.
“Argh! Seriously! Just sleep already! I’m already having enough stress! For god’s sake, don’t give me any more stress! Just sleep! Sleep!”
“...”
If you’re worried just say so. Why scream?
Seeing Wolryung going crazy, Jin Ho, with a stiff face went to sleep without any further complaint.
‘It’s better to not piss him off.’
No matter what, it was better not to piss off the current Wolryung. Jin Ho’s current young master...
If he pissed him off he knew what could happen. The things that happened after Wolryung lost his memories... Was there anything needed to think about after all of that?
‘Well, there are indeed a lot of guards here. So, it’s ok to sleep for a moment, right?’
Right. Let’s just take a quick nap.
With a faint smile tugging at his lips, Jin Ho closed his eyes peacefully.
It felt like the world’s most comfortable moment for some reason.
Thud... thud... thud...
With Jin Ho sleeping quietly it felt peaceful for a moment. But the sound of snoring coming from the corner made Wolryung frown.
“Snore... snore...”
“...”
“Haaaah...”
Time really flies fast. It’s been a month since he transmigrated into this novel. But it still felt like he just arrived here the other day.
‘Well, I was asleep for three whole weeks.’
So, it was expected to feel that way.
‘Speaking of sleep...’
Wolryung suddenly remembered the dreams he was having after arriving into the novel.
‘What were those dreams really?’
He never had these kinds of dreams in his past life as Kang Junho. But after arriving here, he was having those kinds of strange dreams.
‘And not to mention, that dream which showed the future at the alliance branch.’
What was that at that time?
Was it some type of OP Skill or something?
As the word ‘OP Skill’ ran through Wolryung’s mind a giggle formed on his face in an instant.
‘Heheheheh...’
But then again, what about the other dreams he had?
The dream with his father and then the dream with his family. What were those?
If it was some OP Skill that showed him his future or something. Then will those dreams also come true? But he had already died into the original world. So there was no way he could go back to that world anymore. And those dreams he had... they were definitely in the modern world he came from. So...
‘What the hell?! At this rate I might go crazy.’
Kkuuuung...
Suddenly the carriage stopped and because of the sudden shock Wolryung barely survived from falling out of the carriage. Even Jin Ho and the chubby boy jumped up out of instinct.
“What happened, young master/brother?”
Murmur... murmur...
With a slightly furious face Wolryung pulled out his head through the window and shouted at the guards.
“What the hell are you guys doing?! Did you go crazy?! What sane person stops a carriage like that?!”
“...”
But he got no answer. Everyone was looking forward with a bit of worried faces. Not sure of what was happening Wolryung, Jin Ho and the Chubby boy got out of the carriage and looked at the way where the others were looking.
“...”
They could see something running their way. It was running with all its might. As it was too far away they couldn’t tell what it was really? The only thing they could see was that a small dot-like thing was reducing the distance between them at a terrifying speed.
“...”
“What is it now? Another ambush or something?”
