Pant... pant...
The dot-like moving thing... No, the young man who was running toward Wolryung’s group finally staggered to a stop before the carriage.
“...”
His face was deathly pale, and his clothes were drenched in sweat, clinging tightly to his skin.
“Huff... Huff... Please... help me.”
Wolryung was having a bad feeling about this. The way the young man was running and now seeing the state he was in... There was no doubt about it. This bastard was in a life or death situation. So, that meant it would be a huge pain in the ass if they tried to help him. And Wolryung wasn’t the kind of person to help someone stranger and bring trouble onto himself for nothing.
“Nope. We’re in a hurry, we don’t have the time to help.”
Wolryung then looked towards the guards and started moving toward the carriage.
“Let’s leave as early as possible. We’re changing our routes.”
“...”
However, no one moved. Instead they showed an uncomfortable face. Even Jin Ho and the chubby boy had the same face.
“What are you guys doing? I told you to move quickly.”
In his question Jin Ho answered.
“Uh, young master. We are already surrounded. And...”
“...”
“...I think we can’t avoid him. He is from the Mount Hua sect.”
“...”
“Seems like we’ve been found out.”
Several people holding swords in their hands, started stepping out from the other side of the towering trees. Looking at their outfit it looked like they were mountain bandits.
The leader of the bandits with messy long hair tied on his back opened his mouth as he lifted his great sword.
“Well, it doesn’t matter. We can just kill them all.”
‘Urgh, shit! Does this body of mine have some sort of bad luck or something? Why does trouble always follow me?’
Well, even if the young man was from the Mount Hua sect, there would’ve been no problem. Since he was gonna die anyway. But now Wolryung’s party was already surrounded by the enemy. And the enemy wasn’t your average mountain bandits. Since the leader of the bandits was wearing a green robe with a green leaf symbol on the chest.
Yep, it was one of the green forest bandit groups. And unlike ordinary mountain bandits, members of the Green Forest Bandits were skilled martial artists.
‘We are doomed.’
But Wolryung was Wolryung. He wasn’t your type to easily give up. With a forced smile, Wolryung looked at the leader of the bandits.
“Hehe... Kind sir. It looks like there is a misunderstanding.”
“...”
The bandit leader raised one of his eyebrows.
“Misunderstanding?”
“Yep. We don’t know him.”
Wolryung pointed toward the young man and said with full confidence.
“You can do whatever you want with him. We didn’t see anything.”
“...”
“Is that so?”
“Yep.”
Still wearing that friendly smile, Wolryung casually turned toward the carriage as if the matter had already been settled.
“Since the misunderstanding has been solved, we’ll be taking our leave then.”
“...”
“Let’s go, everyone. We’re leaving.”
Looks like this guy was easier to fool than I thought. Thank god the world had so many fools in it. Otherwise it would’ve been a pain to make a living.
However, the next thing that happened immediately made Wolryung’s smile vanish.
“But I know them.”
The young man said with full confidence as if he really knew Wolryung for decades.
“...”
What was this bastard saying? We met just now though. Why would you know us?!
Wolryung turned toward the young man with a smile again.
“May I know how you know us?”
“We are childhood friends, aren’t we?”
“What nonsense! Ahem... Then can you kindly tell me what my name is?”
“Enough!”
Not able to bear their arguing, The bandit leader roared.
“It doesn’t matter if you know each other. We’re not letting any of you guys go.”
‘Shit! I had already convinced that foolish leader. But this bastard ruined it all.’
Wolryung glared at the young man as if he would eat him any moment. While the young man gave a look that clearly said, ‘Did you think I would let you go that easily? If I die, I’ll drag you guys with me.’
‘This bastard!’
However, Wolryung couldn’t just give up yet. He turned toward the bandit leader.
“Kind sir. He doesn’t know us. He is just lying.”
“I know that.”
“...”
“You know it?”
Has his bad luck turned into good luck now?
‘Well, if that’s the case, we’re safe, right?’
Wolryung bowed slightly in front of the bandit leader.
“Since you know that, we’ll take our leave.”
Then still in bowing posture, Wolryung gave a mischievous look toward the young man.
‘What can you do now, you bastard?’
“That’s not happening.”
At the unexpected word from the bandit leader, Wolryung lifted his head with a puzzled face.
“Pardon? What’s not happening?”
“You guys can’t leave.”
“But you said you knew he didn’t know us.”
“Yes. I said that.”
“Then what’s the problem?”
Did this foolish bastard go mad or something? Just let us go already!
“There is no problem. We’re just not letting you go.”
Urgh! What is it now?!
“We also don’t know him though.”
“Yes, I know that as well. But we’re still not letting you go.”
That made Wolryung annoyed. The way he was acting now...
It was crystal clear now. This bastard had no intention of letting them go in the first place. He wasn’t some kind of fool. He was just playing along with Wolryung.
‘How dare he try to play with me!’
Since it came to this...
“So, that’s how you’re gonna play, huh?”
...Then let’s fight with all our might.
“Everyone! Attack!”
As Wolryung’s roar echoed through the forest, all 20 first rate martial artists along with Jin Ho and the young man lunged forward with their swords in hand.
