The next morning, Hildgard woke beneath three fading moons.

The tournament continued.

But the atmosphere around Noah had changed.

People had begun whispering.

Not about his victory.

About what happened during the match.

Some contestants claimed his flames had changed color.

Others claimed they had seen a strange figure behind him.

Most dismissed it as an illusion.

Daniela didn’t.

Neither did Laura.

And Alcris certainly didn’t.

Noah stood inside the Valhalla preparation hall.

His shoulder was bandaged.

He flexed his arm.

"Still works."

Damien looked at him.

"That’s your test?"

"What else should I do?"

"Maybe rest."

"I’m tired of resting."

Luna quietly looked toward the arena entrance.

"The next matches are starting."

Noah nodded.

"Let’s go."

Eric appeared beside him.

"Wait."

Noah turned.

Eric tossed him something.

Noah caught it.

A small wrapped snack.

"Eat."

Noah stared at it.

"What is this?"

"Food."

"I know it’s food."

"Then eat it."

Noah laughed.

"You’re weird."

"You’re welcome."

The arena was already packed.

Today’s matches were continuing through the individual elimination bracket.

One by one, contestants entered.

Some won.

Some were eliminated.

The tournament was becoming increasingly brutal.

Every victory meant another step toward the top.

Every defeat meant going home.

Then the projection changed.

NEXT MATCH

DANIELA VANNHEIM

ELEMENTRO ACADEMY

VS

LAURA ESTERIA

VALHALLA ACADEMY

The arena exploded.

Noah froze.

Laura looked toward him.

Daniela stood across the preparation area.

For a moment, neither girl spoke.

Then Daniela smiled.

"Looks like we finally got our match."

Laura nodded.

"Looks like it."

Noah stepped forward.

"Wait."

Both girls looked at him.

He hesitated.

"Good luck."

Laura smiled.

"Thanks."

Daniela gave him a small smile.

"You too."

Noah frowned.

"I’m not fighting."

"I know."

Daniela walked past him.

"That’s why I said it."

Noah watched her leave.

Eric whispered:

"That was weird."

"Very."

The two girls entered the arena.

The crowd erupted.

The referee raised his hand.

"Contestants ready?"

Laura raised her weapon.

Daniela’s energy began flowing around her body.

"Ready."

"Begin!"

BOOM!

Laura moved first.

Her violet energy surged forward.

Daniela dodged.

Laura turned.

Another attack.

Daniela blocked.

CLANG!

The impact pushed her several meters.

Daniela smiled.

"You’re faster than I expected."

Laura stepped forward.

"And you’re holding back."

Daniela’s expression changed.

"Am I?"

Laura’s violet energy intensified.

"Yes."

Daniela’s eyes glowed.

Her perception activated.

The entire battlefield seemed to slow.

Laura’s energy became visible.

Every movement.

Every muscle shift.

Every change in breathing.

Daniela saw everything.

Laura attacked.

Daniela moved before the strike was completed.

Laura changed direction.

Daniela followed.

Their weapons collided.

CLANG!

Again.

CLANG!

Again.

The crowd roared.

Neither girl gained ground.

Daniela suddenly stepped backward.

Laura stopped.

"What?"

Daniela stared at her.

"Your power."

Laura’s expression hardened.

"What about it?"

"It isn’t ordinary."

Laura said nothing.

Daniela continued.

"I’ve seen something like it before."

Laura’s eyes narrowed.

"Where?"

"I don’t know."

Daniela’s perception intensified.

And then...

A flash.

A room.

A young girl.

A violet flower.

A voice.

"Don’t let them take you."

Daniela staggered.

Laura immediately noticed.

"Daniela?"

The vision disappeared.

Daniela grabbed her head.

"What was that?"

Laura’s expression changed.

She knew.

Something in Daniela’s perception had touched a memory.

A memory Laura herself had buried.

Daniela looked up.

"You know."

Laura didn’t answer.

"You know what I saw."

Laura tightened her grip on her weapon.

"Not here."

Daniela stared.

"Then where?"

"After."

Daniela slowly lowered her hand.

"Fine."

She raised her weapon again.

"But I’m still winning."

Laura smiled.

"Try."

They attacked again.

This time, Daniela’s perception wasn’t enough.

Laura had changed her rhythm.

Her movements became unpredictable.

Daniela blocked one strike.

Another came from the opposite side.

She dodged.

Laura spun.

Violet energy exploded.

BOOM!

Daniela was thrown backward.

She landed on one knee.

The crowd erupted.

Daniela smiled.

"You’re good."

Laura raised her weapon.

"So are you."

Daniela stood.

Then her power changed.

A different form of energy flowed through her body.

Not stronger.

More refined.

Laura’s eyes widened.

"What is that?"

Daniela smiled.

"My own version."

She disappeared.

Laura barely blocked.

CLANG!

The impact pushed her backward.

Daniela continued attacking.

Laura defended.

Strike after strike.

The battle became faster.

Harder.

More personal.

And from the stands...

Noah watched silently.

He could feel something strange.

The same sensation from the relic chamber.

But this time...

It wasn’t reacting to him.

It was reacting to Laura.

Noah’s eyes narrowed.

"What’s happening?"

Alcris, watching from across the arena, noticed it too.

His perception activated.

His eyes widened.

For a brief moment...

he saw a thin connection between Laura and the strange energy beneath Hildgard.

And then something else.

A symbol.

The same symbol that had appeared in the relic chamber.

The three moons.

Alcris’s expression changed.

"So..."

His smile slowly returned.

"...Laura knows more than she should."

On the battlefield, Laura and Daniela stopped simultaneously.

Both were breathing heavily.

Neither had won.

The referee stepped between them.

The tournament system calculated their remaining energy.

The projection flickered.

RESULT: INSUFFICIENT DIFFERENCE

The crowd went silent.

Then the referee announced:

"MATCH RESULT: DRAW."

The arena exploded.

Laura lowered her weapon.

Daniela looked at her.

"After this..."

Laura nodded.

"I’ll tell you what I can."

Daniela smiled.

"Good."

They walked past each other.

But neither noticed the faint symbol glowing beneath the arena floor.

A dragon.

A serpent.

A bear.

And above them...

three moons.

The relics had awakened once.

Now they were beginning to remember.

The arena slowly emptied.

The cheers had faded into scattered conversations as students returned to their academy sections.

But the result of the previous match remained the main topic.

Laura Esteria and Daniela Vannheim.

A draw.

Neither had managed to defeat the other.

And neither seemed satisfied with the result.

Laura stood beneath one of the arena’s outer corridors.

Daniela approached a few minutes later.

Neither spoke at first.

Then Daniela stopped in front of her.

"You promised."

Laura nodded.

"I remember."

Daniela glanced around.

Nobody was nearby.

"Tell me what you know."

Laura leaned against the wall.

"I don’t know everything."

"Then tell me what you do know."

Laura looked toward the arena.

"I know Noah’s power isn’t what people think it is."

Daniela’s expression became serious.

"Ragnarok."

Laura looked at her.

"You remember the name."

"I don’t forget things easily."

A pause.

"Especially things that don’t make sense."

Laura nodded.

"Ragnarok is dangerous."

Daniela waited.

"How dangerous?"

"I don’t know."

Daniela frowned.

"That’s impossible."

"No."

Laura’s voice became quieter.

"It’s because the power itself is incomplete."

Daniela’s eyes narrowed.

"What does that mean?"

Laura hesitated.

"Noah hasn’t reached the point where he can fully understand it."

"And Dead Zone?"

Laura went silent.

Daniela immediately noticed.

"That’s the thing inside him."

Laura nodded.

"Something like that."

"Is it Ragnarok?"

"Part of it."

Daniela absorbed the answer.

"Then why does it behave like another person?"

Laura looked toward the moonlit sky.

"Because maybe it is."

Daniela’s eyes widened.

"You mean..."

"I don’t know."

Laura pushed herself away from the wall.

"But whatever Dead Zone is, Noah doesn’t control it."

"Yet."

Laura glanced at her.

"Yet."

A few meters away, Noah had been waiting.

He didn’t hear the entire conversation.

But he saw Daniela leave.

Laura approached him.

"Everything okay?"

Laura nodded.

"Yes."

"What did you tell her?"

"Enough."

Noah smiled.

"That’s vague."

"It’s supposed to be."

He laughed.

"Fair."

Laura looked at him.

"How are you feeling?"

"Good."

"No strange voices?"

"No."

"No maroon flames?"

"No."

Laura relaxed.

"Good."

Noah looked toward the arena.

"Still..."

"What?"

"Something happened during your fight."

Laura’s expression changed.

"What did you feel?"

"I don’t know."

Noah frowned.

"But Ragnarok reacted."

Laura stared at him.

"To me?"

"I think so."

Neither spoke.

Then Laura quietly said:

"That’s not the first time."

Noah looked at her.

"What do you mean?"

Laura hesitated.

"Nothing."

Noah smiled.

"You’re doing it again."

"Doing what?"

"Keeping secrets."

Laura looked away.

"Maybe."

Meanwhile

Alcris was walking through the empty upper corridor.

His mind was racing.

He had seen the symbol.

The same symbol beneath the ruins.

The same symbol connected to the three medallions.

But something bothered him.

Why had it reacted to Laura?

Why had Noah’s Ragnarok responded?

And why did Daniela’s perception trigger a memory?

Too many connections.

Alcris hated unanswered questions.

He stopped beside a window.

Below him, Hildgard glowed beneath the three moons.

He activated his perception.

The entire city became layered with energy.

People.

Buildings.

Magic.

Power.

Then he looked farther.

Beneath Hildgard.

Deep beneath the city.

Something enormous moved.

Alcris’s eyes widened.

"What..."

For the first time, he couldn’t see through it.

His perception simply stopped.

Like an invisible wall.

He pushed harder.

Nothing.

Then a faint whisper entered his mind.

"Do not look deeper."

Alcris froze.

The voice wasn’t Noah’s.

It wasn’t Dead Zone.

It came from beneath the city.

He smiled.

"So there’s something down there."

The voice returned.

"You are not the chosen one."

Alcris’s smile disappeared.

"Chosen?"

Silence.

Then the connection vanished.

Alcris stood alone.

His expression slowly changed.

"Who is?"

Valhalla Residence

Noah couldn’t sleep.

He stood beside the window.

The city was quiet.

Laura was asleep.

Luna and Damien had already retired.

But Noah felt something.

A faint warmth.

He looked at his palm.

Nothing.

Then the system appeared.

[Ragnarok synchronization: 41%.]

Noah stared.

"Forty-one?"

It had increased.

Four percent.

Without him intentionally doing anything.

Then another notification appeared.

[External resonance detected.]

Noah’s expression hardened.

"From where?"

The system didn’t answer.

Instead:

[Source: Unknown.]

Noah stared at the message.

Then a second notification appeared.

[Warning.]

[Ragnarok is responding.]

His flames erupted.

Orange.

Then maroon.

Noah immediately clenched his fist.

"Stop."

The flames disappeared.

But something remained.

A faint voice.

Not aggressive.

Not angry.

Almost distant.

"They’re looking for us."

Noah froze.

"Who?"

No response.

Then:

"The ones beneath."

The voice vanished.

Noah stood completely still.

His eyes slowly moved toward the floor.

Beneath Hildgard.

Something was waiting.

And somewhere else in the city...

Alcris was looking for exactly the same thing.
