Chapter 287: Chapter 287 - Passion released

For a moment, Li Wang simply stood there, trembling beneath Celaus’s touch.

His mind was still screaming at him to pull away, to remember all the reasons he had been so determined to deny these feelings. He had spent so long telling himself that whatever was happening between them was impossible, that he couldn’t possibly feel the same way Celaus did.

But then Celaus kissed him.

The firmness of that kiss stole every thought from his mind.

Li Wang’s eyes widened, his breath catching in surprise. He could feel the warmth of Celaus’s lips against his, gentle at first despite the desperation hidden beneath them. The prince wasn’t forcing him to do anything. He was simply there, holding him as though Li Wang was something precious, kissing him as though he had been waiting far too long for this moment.

And somehow, that tenderness broke through every wall Li Wang had built.

His fingers, which had been gripping Celaus’s arms in an attempt to push him away, slowly loosened.

The thoughts that had tormented him began to fade.

The embarrassment disappeared.

The soldiers watching disappeared.

Even the endless voice in his head insisting that he couldn’t possibly have feelings for another man slowly went quiet.

There was only Celaus.

Only the warmth surrounding him.

Only those gentle hands holding him as though he belonged there.

Li Wang’s heart pounded harder and harder, and before he could stop himself, his lashes fluttered shut.

Then, hesitantly, almost as though he was afraid of admitting the truth even to himself, his lips moved against Celaus’s.

He kissed him back.

The instant Celaus felt it, he seemed to go completely still.

Then his arms tightened around Li Wang.

Celaus kissed him back ferociously, his breath ragged and hot.

A lingering press of his lips against Li Wang’s, followed by a brief pause that left Li Wang breathless. Their foreheads nearly touched as they drew apart for barely a second, both catching their breath.

Then Celaus leaned in again.

This time, the kiss was deeper, warmer, filled with all the affection he had been holding back. His lips moved against Li Wang’s with patient insistence, pausing only to let him breathe before drawing him back into another kiss.

Li Wang’s fingers tightened in Celaus’s clothes.

His breath trembled.

"Celaus..."

The name barely left his lips before Celaus kissed him again, stealing away the rest of his words.

Li Wang’s eyes fluttered shut.

Each time they separated, Li Wang barely had enough time to gather himself before Celaus was there again, his hand gently cradling Li Wang’s cheek, his thumb brushing softly over his flushed skin.

The tenderness somehow made the kiss feel even more overwhelming.

Li Wang’s heart raced as he slowly stopped thinking altogether. There was no argument left in his mind, no desperate voice telling him to pull away.

Only Celaus.

Only the warmth of his embrace.

And when Celaus finally paused, their breaths mingling between them, Li Wang didn’t retreat.

Instead, he instinctively leaned closer.

That small movement was enough.

Celaus smiled against his lips before kissing him once more, and this time Li Wang melted completely into his arms, returning the kiss without hesitation.

Li Wang’s mind went completely blank.

He had forgotten what he had been afraid of.

Forgotten why he had been fighting this so desperately.

Every time he felt Celaus’s lips against his, another piece of his resistance simply melted away.

The warmth of the prince’s embrace surrounded him, making him feel safe in a way he hadn’t expected.

His heart, which had been racing with panic only moments ago, now seemed to beat in time with the man holding him.

Without thinking, Li Wang’s hands slowly rose. And then he finally wrapped his arms around him.

He hugged him back.

The simple movement seemed to mean more to Celaus than anything he could have said.

The prince’s embrace became even warmer, and the kiss continued, filled with all the affection he had been trying so patiently to convey to the stubborn human who refused to acknowledge what his own heart already knew.

Outside the enormous glass observatory, Gia drew closer.

The beautiful planet filled their view, its vast green lands glowing beneath the golden light of its twin suns. Wisps of clouds curled around the surface, and distant oceans shimmered like sheets of glass. The golden radiance spilled through the observatory and surrounded the two of them, making the moment seem almost unreal.

Li Wang had come to the observation deck wanting to see an alien world for the first time.

Instead, he found himself wrapped in the arms of the man who had somehow become the center of his world.

A few meters away, the soldiers who had been watching finally couldn’t contain themselves.

Cheers erupted from the observation deck.

Someone whistled loudly.

Another soldier happily clapped his hands, while several others laughed and congratulated each other as though they had just witnessed the greatest victory of their lives.

Li Wang’s eyes flew open.

His face immediately turned bright red.

Celaus, however, didn’t even stop kissing him.

He simply opened his eyes, turned his head slightly, and gave the soldiers a single cold glare.

The entire group fell silent.

Still holding Li Wang close, Celaus lifted one hand and made a small, unmistakable gesture toward the door.

Leave.

The soldiers exchanged amused looks.

A few struggled to hide their laughter, but they wisely began backing away.

"Come on," one whispered to the others. "Let’s give the prince and his mate some privacy."

They hurried out of the observation deck, still grinning among themselves.

Soon, the doors closed behind them.

The two of them were finally alone.

Li Wang buried his burning face against Celaus’s chest, too embarrassed to look at him, while Celaus merely smiled and wrapped his arms around him again.

Beyond them, Gia continued growing larger through the glass, glowing beautifully beneath the golden light.

And for the first time, Li Wang didn’t try to run away from the feeling in his heart.
