"Why don’t I go with you tomorrow? I’ll leave the rest of my team behind, except maybe Lady Rae, and we will clear the bosses for you, which will leave us most of the team to do the solo run?" Karl suggested.

"That works for us. I know that you are hosting guests this week, so it’s not a major issue if you would like to put the run off entirely."

Karl shook his head. "Most of these guests are also customers, so we’re going to need the raw materials from the trips to the dungeon. If we stop for too long, we’re going to run out of raw metals for our craftsmen.

The growth of a Guild really is a resource intensive time, but the rewards have been incredibly satisfying."

The Elders of the Yizimon Clan smiled. Karl called it "Resource Intensive" but wasn’t his Guild making an absolutely obscene amount of profit? Sure, they were putting all their time and effort into growing their members and their influence, but the amount of treasure that the Guild had amassed had to be massive.

They weren’t sending out mountains of Mana Jade jewellery, so the Clan knew that they were still holding back. The vein that they had mined the last time held enough to make tens of thousands of accessories.

And, it was a vein that had appeared again.

Not nearly as large, but they had found a similar vein in the region when their own group had gone, and they had collected hundreds of kilograms themselves.

"I don’t suppose that we can make arrangements with your Alchemists, can we? Many of our members are stuck at bottlenecks, waiting on specific resources, and they have capped out their classes."

Karl nodded. "I don’t see a problem with that. Some of the Alchemical concoctions are exceedingly expensive, since the materials are valuable and rare. But you’re good allies, and we have no objections to helping your members grow."

"That is excellent news. We were hoping that your Alchemy team might have the ability to make the Golden Core Tribulation Pills. I know that the New Home Merchant Clan has the recipe, but they are unwilling to sell them, unless you provide the resources, and we cannot obtain all the resources."

Karl nodded. "Let me bring in Remi, and she might know of an alternate option that will do the same thing, but with available materials."

Remi didn’t enter alone, she brought Oak and Luminaria. One an Alchemist, the other a Divine Botanist. If they couldn’t come to a conclusion about an alternate materials source, there likely wasn’t one.

"Welcome ladies. Elders, these are Remi, our head Alchemist. Then Oak, our newly arrived Supreme Alchemist, and Luminaria, a Divine Botanist. Ladies, these are the Elders of the Yizimon Clan, who works with us to mine resources from the dungeon that they control."

Remi waved happily to the new test subjects, who didn’t yet realize that they had volunteered themselves and not just their members.

Neither of the two here was at Peak Immortal yet, but Remi had a new development that was supposed to help build power inside an Ascended Immortal who was stuck at a bottleneck.

If it worked, it would push them right through to the next stage, though it wouldn’t help them reach supremacy.

And if it worked for that, then they could use the derivative product she had developed with the Alchemy Elder to push Immortals near the end of the Void Immortal stage into the Ascended stage.

That was a big jump, and an increase in status for the Immortals who managed it.

Elder Socrate had developed it for warrior class Immortals who lacked the will to study needed to properly complete the Void Immortal stage of development. If they weren’t smart enough to do it themselves, the idea was that you could just refine the mental advancement requirements and brute force them directly into the warriors’ brains with alchemy.

It would be incredible, and they would fix so much stupid.

Socrate had a theory that if they forcibly altered and improved the mental abilities of Immortals with the potion to help them reach the end of Void Immortal stage, it might permanently improve their cognitive abilities. And with improved mental capacity, they would advance faster in the future.

But neither of them was willing to test it on their own members until they knew whether it was safe.

Plus, the New Home didn’t have as many idiots as most Clans.

They had the Moron, but he wasn’t actually lacking intelligence, he was lacking common sense and a grasp on reality. That was an entirely different issue.

"{ Elders, it’s a pleasure to meet you all. I am Remi, and I specialize in unique Alchemical concoctions that are designed to improve the quality of life for Immortals. I do have something that your people might need.

The Golden Core Tribulation Pills are used to get Immortals started on the final stages of the Path of Ascendancy, right? The later parts of Ascendancy and the bottleneck at Peak Immortal?

Well, I also don’t have the resources to make it, there are some truly rare plants in there that I don’t have access to.

However, I have an alternate experimental concoction that I am willing to provide to two members free of charge, with the understanding that I can’t guarantee its effectiveness.

We have developed it, and in theory it works just as well.

But as you know, Alchemy requires proof, so until someone actually tries it, we don’t know. And since it’s designed for Ascended Immortals, we can’t just test it on random disciples that are willing to take a chance in exchange for payment. }"

That made the Yizimon Clan Elders laugh. Indeed, you couldn’t just use the Clan’s Elders as Guinea Pigs to test your new Alchemy recipes.

Or, you couldn’t do it without them either being very desperate or very well paid. And that would mostly defeat the purpose of having them do the testing. For that reason, most new alchemy recipes were actually developed to help the Alchemist themselves through a bottleneck, and they tested them on themselves.

After all, who better to use rare resources on, right?
