Tepid Scholar’s voice was tired as he said, "You people can fight each other on your own time. Now is not the time for that. We have more important matters to deal with."
Sword Maestro also said, "We have a common enemy, so let’s work together to defeat it. I’m sure you all have backup plans, but let’s not forget that our defeat here will affect more than just us."
"If this is allowed to continue, ten avatars will die here. This will weaken the Blessed Heaven World and make it more difficult to help it ascend in the future."
"If you don’t care about the loss of your avatars, you should consider the consequences of the loss of so many pathways to the Blessed Heaven. So let’s work together."
Before the three arguing Dao Lords could say anything, Tepid Scholar interjected hurriedly, "That’s not what I meant when I said we have more important matters to deal with. I meant that we should start planning for the fallout of the loss of the pathways."
"I meant that whoever has a hidden pathway should start anchoring them now. I didn’t say we should work together."
When Heavenly Eye heard this, she sneered and said, "You just don’t want us to recover our avatars. You want everyone to lose so that you can become the strongest Dao Lord in the Sea of Worlds again."
Martial Will added with a snort, "With a total of 14 pathways and you in control of 3 of them, you could control 21.4% of the power of the Blessed Heaven World. But if we lose 10 pathways and you control 2, you stand to gain up to 50% of the power of the Blessed Heaven World."
Then Black Chains scoffed and said, "It seems you only wanted to start anchoring our hidden pathways now so that you can quickly calculate your control of the Blessed Heaven World and start making plans for the total subjugation of the Blessed Heaven World."
Sighing, Tepid Scholar said with an aggrieved tone, "You’re slandering me. The only crime I am guilty of is looking forward to the freedom of the will of the Blessed Heaven World. Is that such a bad thing?"
Without hesitation, Martial Will said, "It is not a bad thing. But I’m sure that you’re lying about your intentions, and that’s a bad thing."
Black Chains sneered and said, "Just come clean. You yearn for the days you can rule the Sea of Worlds like an emperor."
So another round of arguments began. This time, it was Sword Maestro and Heavenly Eye who were sitting it out.
Sword Maestro was frustrated by the turn of events. He wanted these old and powerful Dao Lords to get together and create a solution to their problems. But it seemed that their hatred of each other was too much for them to work together.
As for Heavenly Eye, she didn’t join the argument because she was thinking about the repercussions of the death of her avatars.
She thought to herself, ’If the slavery avatar is killed, the will of the Blessed Heaven World will become free. What about me?’
’What will happen if my illusion avatar is killed? What will happen to all of the things I’ve hidden?’
After thinking about these questions without finding a favorable answer, she thought, ’Maybe it is not such a bad thing for us to work together. This dragon must be stopped.’
She didn’t want to, but she made this decision and immediately put it into action.
She started by saying, "Alright, I’ll talk. Let it be known that this goes against everything I live for. It goes against every fibre of my being. So if I do it, you all must make it worth it for me."
At this point, no one was speaking. As if it was all planned, everyone was looking at her and waiting in expectation to hear what she had to say.
When she saw them looking at her like vultures looking at an injured animal waiting for it to die so that they could eat her carcass, she began to hesitate about what she intended to do.
But then she heard Martial Will urge her, saying, "What is this about anyway? Hurry up and tell us."
Tepid Scholar said, "Is it about you hiding Golden Sun? We already know about that."
Then Sword Will also said, "Is this about the relic that you were hiding?"
’This is about keeping my other stuff hidden,’ she thought to herself. Then she said, "This is about the dragon possessing a Divine Spark and a Divine Mountain?"
"What?!" came the shout from Black Chains.
As if the first shout wasn’t enough to indicate how angry he was, he shouted again, "What did you just say?"
But then the light of his existence dimmed, and the pressure of his existence shrank. His existence seemed to waver and stumble precipitously at the edge of an abyss, getting ready to fall.
Fortunately, he was able to stabilize his existence. The light that he was producing stopped flickering, but its intensity and brightness had been reduced permanently.
When they looked down, they saw the reason for the sudden change in Black Chains. The black monkey, the avatar of his only Cosmic Dao, had just been slain.
Seeing this, Heavenly Eye chuckled and said, "For a while there, I thought I had angered you to death. Fortunately, I am not to blame for that."
"You bitch," came Black Chain’s reply.
Martial Will joined in, "I am on Black Chain’s side on this. You really are a bitch."
"Fuck you," Heavenly Eye said. "Fuck all of you behaving like I committed some grave sin. I did exactly what all of you would have done in my situation. What’s so bad about that?"
In response, all Black Chain had to say was, "You fucking bitch."
Martial Will also said, "Ok, I’m on Heavenly Eye’s side now. She has a point."
