Tepid Scholar, unwilling to back down, said, "I offer 200 years of divine crystals and 2 years of protection for you."

Sword Will also said, "250 years of divine crystals and 2 years of protection for you."

At this point, Black Chains couldn’t hold back anymore. He said with a gruff voice full of latent anger, "300 years of divine crystals and 2 years of protection."

Martial Will, as if his tail had been stepped on, jumped out to say, "300 years of divine crystals and 3 years of protection for you."

When they heard this, Black Chain and everyone turned to him in surprise. It was Sword Will who said what they were thinking.

He said, "Why are you doing this? The Death Dao doesn’t match you in any way. You can’t use it if you get it."

With a smug expression on his face, Martial Will said, "The fact that it is not valuable to me doesn’t mean it is not valuable to others. In this case, this Death Supreme Metac is clearly valuable to all of you. I don’t need it, but I can make it difficult for any of you to get it."

Black Chains couldn’t hold back and said, "You bastard."

In response, Martial Will grinned and said, "You’re welcome."

"Fine," Black Chains said through gritted teeth. "1,000 years of divine crystals and 10 years of protection."

Then he glared at Martial Will in anger as if daring him to make a move.

Despite the look that could kill, Martial Will didn’t seem to mind. The Dao Lord of the Martial Body Sect said, "1,000 years of divine crystals and 11 years of protection."

Tepid Scholar spoke up at this point, saying, "1,000 years of divine crystals and 15 years of protection."

Heavenly Eye also said, "1,000 years of divine crystals and 20 years of protection."

When Black Chains heard Tepid Scholar and Heavenly Eye’s offer, his anger seemed to leak out of him. If it had only been Martial Will bidding against him, he could be angry because he was sure that Martial Will was bidding to spite him.

But Tepid Scholar and Heavenly Eye are different. These two really want the Death Supreme Metac and will go the extra mile to not only make it difficult for him to acquire it, but also try to acquire it themselves.

In this case, his anger wouldn’t be of any use. Not that it was of any use before. But it was even more useless now.

To fight back, he could only say, "1,000 years of divine crystals and 25 years of protection."

But Heavenly Eye immediately said, "2,000 years of divine crystals and 25 years of protection."

Like so, the price continued to climb. As one of the only two Cosmic Daos available and the one of the two with the strongest offensive potential, the demand for it was very high.

If every Dao Lord could use whatever pathway they wanted, then everyone would be bidding for the Death Supreme Metac. Since not everyone was bidding for it, this gave the ones bidding for the Death Supreme Metac an opportunity to consolidate power.

Heavenly Eye, ever the quick-witted schemer, sent a message to Carefree Immortal, saying, "Lend me some divine crystals."

"No," came the swift reply.

Not willing to take no for an answer, she urged him, saying, "Oh come on. You are not bidding for anything right now, so you don’t need the money. On the other hand, I need the divine crystals urgently."

"If you help me now, I will help you later. When you need divine crystals, I’ll help you get some. And I’ll also pay interest on the divine crystal you lend from me. I swear."

But Carefree Immortal insisted, saying, "No. I need all I can get for the upcoming items. I don’t want to be caught unprepared because of you."
