The one problem he began to consider next was what would happen if the super worlds he set up his Domain on decided to ascend.
His eyes flashed with cunning as he thought, ’They probably thought that I didn’t consider that part. I definitely noticed it when they didn’t make any promises to help their super worlds advance.’
’No matter. Let’s wait until they try to help the world ascend. We shall see who has the sharpest teeth then.’
Now that he has established Domains, the worst thing that can happen is for the super world to up and leave. The consequences would be dire, worse than one of the Dao Lords gaining more pathways and mobilizing more Domain power or getting part of the Blessed Heaven World destroyed.
If the super world were to decide to enter the third heaven, his Domain power from that world would fall to zero. His true body would still be fine, only weakened, but his avatar from that world would disappear completely.
The possibility of this happening was why he decided to extort the Dao Lords of the Blessed Heaven World in the first place. His extortion then led to every Dao Lord working together to set up Domains in the Sea of Worlds.
’I know I promised to behave now that I’ve gotten my Domains, but I can still use the Freedom Pathway to free myself from the oaths. Then I can extort them again or even make the Blessed Heaven World fail its ascension completely, thereby crippling their chances of getting a Divine Mountain of their own.’
When he imagined the Blessed Heaven World shattering to pieces, crushing the hopes and dreams of every Dao Lord attached to it, the grin on his face became wider.
’Yes, yes. I should do that,’ he thought with an evil grin on his face. ’The impact will be heavy if I can accomplish it.’
Then he remembered how the Will of the Blessed Heaven World had beaten him up the last time he fought it. This memory caused his enthusiasm, which had grown to the size of a mountain, to shrink and shrivel to the size of a pebble.
’That’s true. The Will of the Blessed Heaven World isn’t a pushover. It will surely be much stronger now that more Dao Lords have appeared in it. And my avatar will surely be weaker than before now that my Domain is dependent on it.’
’And what if it decides to remove my pathway from the divine constellation, robbing me of my Domain power completely? Can it do that?’
’I’ve never heard about it, but if it can do something like that, then my avatar will be screwed. My avatar will stand no chance whatsoever, so it will be killed. If my avatar is killed, not only will I lose that pathway, but I’ll also lose the godhead forever.’
The loss of a pathway because of the death of an avatar is temporary, and so is the loss of the divinity from it. Once he gets back the pathway, he can always turn it back into a star and use it to convert divine crystal into divinity.
However, the loss of the godhead that the star had fused with it before is a permanent loss. So if he were to lose one avatar right now, his potential would drop from ten godheads to nine godheads.
As far as he knew, there was no cure for this loss. He would forever be limited to nine pathways in the future.
Shaking his head, ’I don’t want to end up like Black Chain. Even if everyone has a change of heart and returns the four pathways they took from him, his potential will forever be reduced by four.’
’So even though he isn’t dead yet, he will never be able to achieve the kind of power he could before. If I were him, I would be steaming angry too.’
’Therefore, I shouldn’t put my avatar in a dangerous situation unless it is worth the risk,’ he thought as he made up his mind.
