Heavenly Eye had also said, "Plus, if they join the Blessed Heaven World and we succeed in ascending, they will gain access to a Divine Mountain, so they won’t need to help their super worlds to ascend. This will allow our Domains in their super worlds to remain in the Sea of Worlds."

He had found their arguments compelling and the points they made reasonable. But after seeing everyone double-cross each other, have hidden motives, and hide things from each other, he couldn’t wholeheartedly believe what they said.

For example, if he killed Green Fire, Carefree Immortal, Immobile Mountain, Sword Maestro, and Harem King, ten pathways would open up in the Blessed Heaven World, strengthening both his avatar and his true body.

’I mustn’t let any of their Supreme Metacs escape into the Sea of Worlds as Golden Sun, Time Traveler, Wandering Thief, Harem King, and Human Emperor did, or I will have endless trouble.’

While he was thinking and scheming, everyone else was also thinking about various matters and scheming about how to gain more benefits.

He didn’t know what they were thinking about, but he was sure that it was a scheme to make them stronger, and he was certain that this scheme wouldn’t be good for his health if executed.

So far, no one was saying anything to each other. Seven avatars had left the Blessed Heaven World just earlier, but ten avatars were returning now. Yet, none of the ten had anything to discuss.

After they reached the divine constellation of the Blessed Heaven World, the avatars went into the divine constellation to finalize their agreement.

As soon as they sat down, Tepid Scholar said, "Now that everyone is satisfied, it is time to release the Will of the Blessed Heaven World.’

Then the Dao Lord of the Myriad Phenomenon Sect looked at Black Chain and said, "Are you going to release it now? Or do you have another demand you want to make?"

Black Chain didn’t reply immediately. He was too busy considering his current situation and his future, so he didn’t have time to answer the question just yet.

’Should I ask them to protect me forever?’ he asked himself.

Inwardly shaking his head, he thought, ’No. They will never accept this.’

’At most, I can ask them to protect me for a hundred years. With enough time, I might be able to recover some of my strength. I’ll raise some disciples to rank 9 and devour them to grow stronger.’

Then he glanced at the nine avatars looking at him and waiting for his answer, which made him think, ’But knowing these cunning foxes, even if they swear an oath to protect me, they will definitely look for opportunities not to try their best.’

’And what if they try their best? What will happen to me after a hundred years? Who will protect me from my son after a hundred years?’

His greatest need at this point was how to secure his life and keep himself safe from enemies. For that, he began contemplating allowing himself to fall until he became a rank 9 Dao Initiate.

’As a Dao Initiate, I will be weaker, but the reach of Dao Lords won’t be able to get to me in the Sea of Worlds. With the right arrangements, I might be able to keep myself safe in the Sea of Worlds.’

Nodding inwardly in satisfaction, he thought, ’I should keep that as a last resort. Things haven’t gotten so bad just yet. I still have one more chance to turn things around.’

After doing a lot more thinking, he came up with a plan that was better than asking the nine Dao Lords around him for help. Without delay, he immediately sent a message to someone important for the plan.

His message was received, and a reply came a few microseconds after the message was sent. This delighted Black Chain, who sent more messages urging cooperation.

The two of them discussed the plan for a while, coming to an agreement very quickly. Since Black Chain was able to set up this plan, he felt that he could relax somewhat. The dark gloom over his heart started to lighten because of the solution on the horizon.
