His voice was bitter as he said, "Even if they don’t try to get rid of me, they will surely refuse to let my world ascend if their super world successfully ascends. And if they still need my world to ascend, then I can be sure that they will try to take it from me after it ascends."

"Anyway, I can’t allow them to share the same world with me, or I will find it difficult to escape with my Domain if I am killed in the third heaven. They have left me no choice in the matter. To capitulate now is to quench my thirst with poison. I will have to pay a much higher price to deal with them later if I surrender now."

His eyes became fire as he said, "The situation is bad for sure. I am sure they are already preparing to invade. But if I were to help my world ascend before they can invade, there will be nothing they can do to me.

"Besides, once I reunite with my brothers, the situation will surely become better. I just need to find a way to summon them."

His figure flashed through the third heaven, moving through familiar territory. He was looking for something that the three brothers had left here in the third heaven as a backup plan.

As he passed by, he saw one of the large ships that had arrived earlier. The ship was a large, round metallic structure. It was round like a world, had a strong barrier around it, and was as large as a world, making it indistinguishable from a world.

The ship was also far off into the distance, and he was cloaked with the power of space, so he shouldn’t be noticed. Yet, someone on the ship looked in his direction.

Just as the inquisitive gaze from the ship landed on him, he felt an invasive force scan through him and move across his existence. This made him shiver and turn tail immediately.

’Too strong. Too dangerous,’ he thought with lingering fear.

On the ship, two figures watched him leave. The two figures were nearly identical in appearance. They were both humanoid bovine creatures with highly muscular bodies, two long horns on their heads, hoven feet, and a thin, swishing tail attached to their behinds.

The main difference between them was that one of them was white from head to toe while the other was black from head to toe. The white one had a black spherical mark on its forehead, while the black one had a white spherical mark on its forehead.

After seeing Wandering Thief off, the black one said, "Not bad for a native."

"Especially for a native of a dying domain like this," the white one said in agreement.

Then the white one asked, "Have you seen this place? All of the worlds in it are barely enough to fill up a solar system in some solar systems."

"To think something the size of a galaxy will shrink to this level. It is truly an abysmal sight. I guess this is what happens when a domain has been cut off from the supply of energy from the universe."

"Only this third heaven has something valuable. Their divine crystals have decayed in quantity and quality. But they have a lot of celestial gold."

Hearing this, the black one shook its head and chuckled as it said, "I can’t believe they just let celestial gold lie around like this. It seems these people don’t know the value of this thing."

"Who are we to complain?" the white one asked with a laugh. "Their ignorance only means more celestial gold for us. At the very least, with all of the celestial gold we can scavenge, our venture here will break even."

"That’s true," his counterpart said with a nod. "I thought this trip to this barren domain would be a waste of our time. But with this much celestial gold, this is not so bad. Now we can watch over the young ones with no worries."

The two of them were standing atop the round ship during this discussion. While they were chatting, some people were gathering beneath the ship just outside the entrance.

The gathering people were in different shapes and forms. Some were plant-like with leaves of various colors across their bodies and branches sticking out here and there, while others were in the form of animals, like birds, rodents, or tortoises, only giant in size.

Even some of these people looked like inanimate objects, like a rock, a sphere of water, or a bouncy piece of wind. There were no rules to their appearances and forms. Very few of them were humanoid.

Their cultivation level was also different. Some were puny two-star celestials, while a few of them were mighty six-star celestials. None of them were one-star celestials. Even the black humanoid wolf figure with a version of the Devouring Pathway that was a Cosmic Dao was a two-star celestial.

However, one thing that they had in common was that they were all black from toe to toe. They looked like they had been carved from one block of obsidian rock.

All in all, there were ten thousand of these obsidian entities. As they gathered, they too were discussing their circumstances.

"This place reeks of death. I can’t get a whiff of natural energy. How can anything grow in this world?

"Every time I smell the place, I smell death. It is like everything is dead. Is this place a graveyard?"

"I thought they said they were bringing us here for development. It seems that they are bringing us here to die. Did we do something wrong?"

Someone pointed beneath them to the white landmass they were standing on and said, "Look at this place. I can’t believe it is the third dimension. It looks shattered and on the verge of collapsing. I have never seen a shabbier third dimension. Is it even safe for us to be here?"
