There is another one, but he isn’t sure about its validity as an intentional contingency. It is that he believes that the life-leech is a contingency.

He believes that the yearly rent keeps divine beings too poor to afford the lifespan they need to create Supreme Metacs. But even if the life-leech doesn’t count, he is certain that the mark the sect puts on the soul of every cultivator when they join the sect is a contingency and a powerful one at that.

Not only is he sure it is a contingency that the sect has put in place to restrict the cultivators in their sect, but he is also sure it is a powerful one because it has worked well against him.

On the surface, the mark helps cultivators keep track of their bank account with the sect. This way, cultivators don’t lose their money after they die, and the sect makes sure no one escapes debts by dying.

It was later that he learned that the mark is instrumental in taking a soul from the cycle of reincarnation and using it to build humunculi for the sect. This way, every member of the sect can be turned into an undying slave for the sect.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, he learned that the mark could be used to capture living people, too, not just souls. He had a Divine Spark when he discovered this. Despite his possession of a Divine Metac, the mark had been able to neutralize all of his power and hook him for capture like a fish.

He has escaped all of these contingencies, but he is still worried because of what all of the contingencies mean to him going forward.

His first worry is that the Dao Lords have put a hidden plan in place to deal with someone like him who escaped most of their contingencies and succeeded in becoming a rank 9 being.

The fact that he hasn’t encountered this hidden contingency doesn’t prove that it doesn’t exist. It might not actually exist. But he doesn’t know, so he is worried.

His second worry is that the Dao Lords will definitely not accept his existence. After all, they couldn’t have gone to such great lengths to prevent the creation of rank 9 beings just to laugh it off when they see that he bypassed their restrictions.

This made him click his tongue in distaste as he thought, ’Why did they restrict the creation of rank 9 beings anyway? Is it just pure selfishness, or is there a deeper reason?’

’For example, is it that their lives and livelihood depend on the number of powerful beings in the Sea of Worlds, or is it that someone is forcing them to put the restrictions in place?’

’I hope they just don’t want more powerful beings for selfish reasons. If they are being forced to, then I’m screwed. After all, something that can force Dao Lords will definitely be more powerful than Dao Lords and will surely hate me more than Dao Lords.’

This thought made him worried for a while. But he was soon distracted from his worries when he came up with something that cheered him up.

He thought, ’Now that I think about it, maybe Dao Lords can’t steal Supreme Metacs. If they could, they shouldn’t have put all of these restrictions in place to stop divine beings from creating Supreme Metacs.’

’If they could steal Supreme Metacs from those who use their Divine Positions, they should have done the opposite and made it easier for divine beings to create Supreme Metacs. So maybe what I did to Money Body is an outlier. If that is true, then it should be because I have a Divine Spark.’

’Of course, if Dao Lords are restricting the creation of rank 9 divine beings because they are being forced to, then it won’t matter if they can steal Supreme Metacs or not. In that case, the situation would be very bad for me.’

At this point, he had to stop thinking because he had finally gained access to Money Body’s Cave Heaven. His body tumbled through the spatial channel and landed in the sky.

Down below, there were golden spirit creatures of different kinds. The spirit creatures had been separated into different sections based on their kind. This made the Cave Heaven look like one giant farm for spirit creatures.

Overall, the Cave Heaven looked to be in good condition. But a section of it at the edge looked like it was plagued by earthquakes. It was also clear that a big chunk of land had crumbled away from the Cave Heaven. The first thing he suspected of doing this was the Devouring Ability.

He suspected the Devouring Ability because, in the past, his use of the black force field to gain access to a Cave Heaven would have led to some loss in the size of the Cave Heaven.

But the part that the Devouring Ability ate would be smooth, not jagged, like what he is seeing in the Cave Heaven. This meant that the Devouring Ability couldn’t be responsible for the loss in the size of Money Body’s Cave Heaven.

Of course, that was how the black force field behaved in the past. His control over the Devouring Ability has become better, so the black force field doesn’t eat what he doesn’t let it eat. So the Devouring Ability couldn’t be responsible for the loss in the Cave Heaven.

Since the Devouring Ability couldn’t be responsible, he said, "It must be because he brought out one of his Divine Metacs when I helped him to convert them into Divine Positions."

"I didn’t seal any of Divine Metacs and he didn’t lose any of them, but he did remove them one at a time from his Cave Heaven, which should have made the Cave Heaven lose some of its support and downsize."

After coming to this conclusion, he took off into the core of the Cave Heaven.
