THE GOD EATER

Chapter 857: Impact Of Hunting.

Because of the lack of changes in his Cave Heaven, he rubbed his chin as he thought out loud, saying, "What is supposed to happen after crossing the limit anyway? Do I need something else to trigger the change, or do I just need to increase the size of my Cave Heaven even more?"

"I should ask Time Traveler or Golden Sun about this when I can. I should also ask them about what the essence of a pathway means."

"What is the essence of a hunter? I thought I created Devouring Pathway. Is the essence of a hunter another name for the Devouring Pathway, or is it a subsection of the Devouring Pathway?"

Then he shrugged and said, "I’ll ask them later. Or should I go and ask them now?"

"Anyway, I should figure out my next plan. Should I continue to hunt divine beings? There is a lot to gain by doing this. Not only will I get to increase the power of my Cave Heaven, but I’ll also get useful Divine Metacs."

"I could also try to get more Supreme Metacs. I could steal them from fallen Dao Lords or try to steal them from weak Dao Lords. Or I can repeat what I just did to Money Body."

He had a lot of options and a lot of things he wanted to accomplish, so it was difficult for him to make a decision in a short time. While he was thinking, he activated Fenrir and used it to create manifestations of itself.

He created nine manifestations of Fenrir. Each one has a single tail and is as powerful as a normal rank 9 being.

That is, they are as powerful as Money Body after advancing to rank 9. As long as Money Body doesn’t use a Divine Metac, he would only be a little bit stronger than them.

Money Body would have had the power of 10 units in his Supreme Metac if he had survived. So he would have been slightly stronger than each manifestation. But once he used his Supreme Metac to enhance any Divine Metac, he could easily overpower them by a difference of nine times.

It cost Loki 81 years of his lifespan to create each manifestation. So the nine of them had cost him a total of 729 years of lifespan.

But this was just the initial cost to create them. The manifestations would still cost him more lifespan when they use Fenrir’s Abilities. However, they could also help him gain more lifespan by eating and devouring things.

He didn’t need more lifespan for now, so he set the manifestations loose into the second heaven to track prey and eat spirit creatures while they are in it.

Basically, he created them for reconnaissance. He figured that he needed it now that the Danger Sense Metac was next to useless for his hunting plan.

The job of the Danger Sense Metac is to alert him to the existence of danger around him. Now that he has become too strong to be threatened by the cultivator of the Blessed Heaven World, it has become perfectly normal for the Danger Sense to pick up no danger in his immediate surroundings.

Because of this, he felt that he was alone in the second heaven. No one seemed to be hunting him anymore. So he wanted to confirm if this was truly the case before he could make a decision about what to do next.

While he was looking for people and gaining law fragments by eating in the second heaven, the impact of what he had done was spreading far and wide into the Blessed Heaven World.

The first main impact was caused by the death of 9 divine beings. This impact was weak and generally insignificant because the divine beings that had died were weak and were spread out in all five sects.

So even though 9 divine beings had died, only the other rank 6 divine beings took their deaths seriously. Rank 7 and rank 8 divine beings didn’t only shake their heads as they lamented the deaths or laughed at the death of weak, greedy people who believed they were worthy ot taking the dragon for themselves.

Beneath the fear, scorn, and pity of the masses was the anxiety of one seer. This deer was Star Divination. She was anxious because her source of money was cut off.

For some reason, the dragon disappeared from her sight, so she became unable to track it. Without this leverage of information, she could no longer force the divine beings hunting the dragon to work for her.

The worst thing was that most of the people she was working with stopped working with her and quit. They said her inability to help them was a breach of her contract. Therefore, they were not obligated to share the spoils with her when they found the dragon.

They were not lying about this, and their claims were deemed rightful by the sect, so her contract with them was nullified. This pissed her off in more ways than one.

In her anger, she cursed, saying, "Useless people. The fact that I can’t sense the dragon now doesn’t mean I can’t sense the dragon later. I can still sense the dragon after a while. They are just too stupid to see this."

After cursing and blowing off some steam, she calmed down and became thoughtful. In her solemnity, she said, "Could the dragon be dead? If it were dead, that would explain why it disappeared. But who managed to kill the dragon?"

This is what most people believed to be the cause of the disappearance of the dragon. They believed that someone had killed the dragon.

After all, with so many people hunting the dragon, it was only a matter of time before someone caught and killed it. So it was either that the dragon was dead or the dragon had escaped the Blessed Heaven World.

Even a great seer like her thought that this was probably the case. Therefore, the next step is to figure out who got the dragon.

She snapped her fingers as something popped up in her mind and enlightened her. Her eyes lit up because of what she realized.
