So according to his initial estimate, Time Traveler shouldn’t be able to kill him with this Divine Metac. However, he remembered that Time Traveler still had the Past Self Metac and the Time Loop Supreme Metac.

With that in mind, Loki suspected that Time Traveler might be able to use the Past Self Metac or the Time Loop Supreme Metac to replenish his lost lifespan and grind Loki to death. Because of this, he decided to put an end to the effect of the Blade of Time before it went too far.

But just before he could make a move, Time Traveler already activated another Divine Metac. The fallen Dao Lord used the Time Speedup Metac on Loki.

The Time Speedup Metac made Loki faster. It actually increased his speed by 8 times, which was a good thing. But it also increased the rate at which he was losing lifespan by eight times.

Because of this, Loki was now losing 466,560 years of lifespan per second. Therefore, his 97,738,265 years of lifespan could only last 209.5 seconds or 3.5 minutes.

On the other hand, Time Traveler had only doubled his energy consumption when he activated the Time Speedup Metac. So now, he could only use the 1,000,000 years of lifespan to sustain himself for 771.6 seconds or 13 minutes.

Just like that, Time Traveler had turned the tables on him. Not only was he failing to harm Time Traveler, but the fallen Dao Lord was succeeding in draining his lifespan and was set to outlast him.

The only advantage he had now was the boost to his speed from the Time Speedup Metac. With this advantage, he could attack Time Traveler at 8 times the speed.

Unfortunately, Time Traveler nullified this advantage before he could make use of it. Time Traveler did so by using the Time Speedup Metac on himself.

So now, they were both eight times faster. And it only reduced the amount of time that Time Traveler can last with 1 million years of lifespan from 771.6 seconds to 514.4 seconds, or 8.6 minutes.

8.6 minutes is shorter than 13 minutes, but it is still higher than 3.5 minutes. Therefore, the extra 648 years of lifespan that Time Traveler is spending per second to nullify his speed advantage is still worth it.

At this rate, Time Traveler would outlast Loki. This gave him the confidence to say to Loki, "Are you ready to talk now? If you continue to be stubborn, I’ll kill you just like I did before."

He even sneered and said, "Your abilities have changed a lot. It seems you changed to a different essence of the Devouring Pathway so that you can counter me. But this essence you’ve picked is weaker to the Time Pathway than the previous one."

Loki paid attention to what he was saying and absorbed the information in his words like a sponge soaking up water. But he didn’t let this stop him.

He activated the Untouchable Divine Metac of the Domination Pathway. He still didn’t use the spark of power, but it was enough for now.

The Untouchable Divine Metac shrouded him in an invisible force field whose power was to resist eternal influence on his existence. In this situation, this was exactly the kind of thing he needed.

Because he had enhanced the power of the Untouchable Divine Metac with the Domination Supreme Metac, the power of the attack was 9(Cultivation Rank) × (9(Body) + 9(Mind) + 9(Will) + 9(Soul) + 9(Insight)) × (49(Supreme Metac) × 9(Divine Metac)) × 9,490 million(Cave Heaven) × 11(Law Fragment), which was 18,644,575,950 units of divine power.

This level of power is weaker than the initial 27,396,111,600 units of divine power that he used earlier. But it was greater than the 11,661,387,264 units of divine power that Time Traveler was producing, so the invisible force field that the Untouchable Divine Metac produced was able to block Time Traveler’s Divine Metac.

With the effect of the Blade of Time Metac stopped, Loki stopped aging. But he also lost the speed boost from the Time Speedup Metac. Because of this, Time Traveler is now up to 8 times faster than him.

He didn’t mind the loss in speed, though. Instead of worrying about their disparity in speed, he decided to deactivate the usefulness of speed entirely by letting the Devouring Forcefield erupt from him and cover the whole world around him.

Not only did he cover everything, but he also let the black force field eat everything it touched. He let the devouring force field target both Time Traveler and the Cave Heaven they were fighting in. This way, he would be able to weaken Time Traveler by destroying his foundation.

Then he activated the Hunting Form Metac. This transformed his golden dragon body into that of a giant white wolf.

In this form, he rushed at Time Traveler. He also activated the Extreme Speed Metac of the Speed Pathway so that he could reach Time Traveler quicker.

After he reached Time Traveler, he used the Golden Strength Metac and the Thousand Cuts Metacs together with his tails to attack Time Traveler.

When this didn’t work, he activated the Hypnosis Metac and said, "Relax. You have nothing to worry about."

But Time Traveler didn’t believe him. So he used the Liar Metac to say, "I am your brother, remember. I mean you no harm. Please, surrender."

Unfortunately, nothing could work because Time Traveler had the Past Self Metac. He kept this Divine Metac activated at all times, so his state was constant and nothing Loki could do could change it.

It wasn’t that Loki couldn’t harm him. Every attack that Loki used worked and damaged Time Traveler. But none of his attacks had long-lasting effects.

The best he could get from his attacks was to reduce Time Traveler’s lifespan. Anything else was a luxury he couldn’t purchase because it wasn’t for sale.
