While they were having a rambling conversation, Willow pointed at a cafe and said something, and Si-Woo, looking extremely tense, headed there with Elysia.

“Yeah, you're right. I've never seen him act like that before.”

“She must be his ideal type, I guess.”

Willow, after seeing the two off, turned on her heels. She then came directly to where Evangeline and Seung-Hyun were hiding. “What are you doing behind there?”

Grace immediately recognized the attack-prone pugilist and involuntarily shouted, “Heek!!

She freaked out and tried to get away from Willow, but Seung-Hyun snatched the back of her neck.

Willow found their dynamic interesting. “It looks like you're doing well.”

“Sort of, yeah.”

“Honestly, I was a bit worried. The current Neltarid is more emotional than his predecessor, potentially making him more prone to mistakes.”

The fact that a god—the one and only God of Earth, no less—was an emotional and immature being could cause huge chaos, but Willow didn’t care if it was revealed. She knew nothing would change regardless.

Willow’s arms crossed. “So, did you come out just to watch?”

“Yepp! So, what do you think will happen?”

“Well, I've confirmed that a thick red thread of fate connects those two. They look flustered right now because they can't control their instincts, but they'll be sickeningly sweet with each other soon enough.”

Unaware of the concept, Grace asked, “Red thread?”

“It means they're destined partners. A match made in heaven. They're people who can't stand to be apart.”

Grace’s head tilted at her matter-of-fact explanation. “Then are Seung-Hyun and I destined partners, too?”

Cough!Cough, cough!!

Startled, Seung-Hyun spat out the lemonade he was drinking, and Evangeline’s eyes narrowed as she glared at him. “You know she's still a kid, even if she doesn't look like it, right? Ah, I guess it doesn't matter...”

Seeing the exchange, Willow quietly looked at Grace and asked, “Do you like being with him?”

Not hesitating for even a second, Grace answered, “Ya. We play games together and eat good food.”

“Do you feel anxious when he's not around?”

“Yepp.”

With every single question asked, Evangeline's face lit up with interest while Seung-Hyun's face turned darker with dread.

Clearly, the profound underpinning of Willow's questions was completely lost on Grace, who was answering without thinking. Perhaps that was better, given the interrogation.

“Then, even when you're looking at him, do you miss him? And even when you're doing something for him, do you want to keep doing more?”

Confused by the roundabout question, Grace frowned. “What the heck is that supposed to mean?”

“Just answer whatever comes to mind.”

“No, it'd be great if Seung-Hyun washed all the dishes, cleaned the house, and cooked for me too.”

“Doesn't sound like it, then.” Willow gave a self-satisfied grin and turned away. “Evangeline, I'm heading back, so don't watch for too long.”

“Okay! See you later, Sis.”

Even though there were many people around, Willow vanished from the spot as if she had slipped out of their perception. Yet, no one found it strange.

Afterward, Grace fell into thought, trying to recall what Willow had said, and the initial group of three continued watching the couple talking by the cafe window in the distance.

“When you see it in a movie or drama, it seems pretty fun, but watching it like this is boring. I feel like we should be hiding out in a windowless van or shady apartment with a giant parabolic microphone.”

“Then, should we use our own ways to listen to what they’re saying?” Evangeline pulled out a small artifact.

- Um... Elysia... you...

- Si-Woo, you...

A brief silence fell from the artifact.

- G-go... Go ahead. Please.

- Ah... No! Please, you can go ahead.

The trio was clearly uncomfortable.

Wow. I never thought I’d be hearing something like this.”

“How pure and innocent...”

Evangeline and Seung-Hyun, who had never experienced this themselves, were grinning at Si-Woo’s struggle.

- You may have already heard... but I'm actually not from Earth. I'm a succubus from Tionis. I don’t know why the Goddess protected me, but...

- It's fine. Here, people won't hate you just because you're a succubus.

- T-thank you.

Evangeline slapped her chest in frustration at the sight of Elysia bowing her head low after every single word she said.

“Seriously? She’s from Tionis! That guy could at least introduce her to Earth's civilization...”

“He probably isn’t thinking straight right now. Just look at him, fidgeting all over the place and sweating up a storm.”

Evangeline, seemingly unable to stand it, called someone on her phone. She said, “Ah. Hello? It's Evangeline. Yeah, I have a favor to ask. Could you get me five day-passes? Ah, I'd appreciate it if you could send them right away.

Watching her nod with satisfaction, Seung-Hyun asked, “What did you get?”

“Single-day admission tickets. For Alfland.”

Ah. Right, your dad owns that place.”

It was an amusement park that Al Hajat had given him as a gift. Alfland was something that even those around Davey had forgotten about, being that he paid so little attention to it.

Of course, just because Davey didn’t handle matters personally didn't mean its quality and performance was bad.

Afterward, Evangeline subtly sent Si-Woo a text message with two of the day passes attached.

She snickered, proudly saying, “Alright, now things are gonna get interesting.”

“That's all it takes?”

Hmm. Well, we have to try something. They should think about how everyone else around them feels with their awkwardness flooding the room. What the heck are they doing?”

- Ah...

- Is something... wrong?

- Oh, no! Elysia, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, would you like to go somewhere with me? It... It’s not for any other reason, but I happened to receive two free day-passes.

- Day... passes?

- You won't regret going, I swear! The flower festival is also in full swing right now.

Si-Woo answered Evangeline’s ideal setting of the opportunity with a powerful spike.

- Well...

- Please don't feel pressured. We can just look around. You have to try anything to get used to things, and I'll help you with that.

Once Elysia accepted after a moment of thought, he let out a sigh of relief and stood up.

The trio was pleased.

“It's a done deal. Let's go, too.”

Seung-Hyun was frustrated to hear about that place again. “Ugh. But Alfland, seriously...”

“What’s wrong with Alfland?”

“Nothing. It's fun, but something always happens every time I go there.”

In fact, a full-blown terrorist attack had broken out when Willow appeared last time.

Evangeline wore an uneasy expression, too. “Nothing bad will happen, right...”

“Don’t worry, nothing will happen. After all, those two aren’t trying to get close and publicly make out or something.”

“And you would know that how?”

“Hey now. People who don’t have experience are usually the real experts.”

Huh...”

Getting tired of the situation, Grace grumbled, “Hey, Seung-Hyun! I'm already bored...”

However, she was singing a different tune not long after.

KYAAAH!! Let's ride this one more time! More!!”

“No. Those two we’re following have already left!! We can ride it again later...”

“One more time!!”

Grace, who kept poking Seung-Hyun’s ribs while demanding another ride, had completely fallen in love with riding roller coasters.

Thanks to that, they forgot all about tailing the couple and focused entirely on having a blast.

She grinned brightly as she lined up for the rollercoaster again, ignoring what he said. “You were right! This is so much fun!”

Seung-Hyun gave up on the tailing, head shaking with resignation. “Fine. Let’s go.”

Evangeline grinned at the sight. “Seeing you two, if I didn't know any better, I’d say you're the android who's supporting her.”

Glad to see someone empathize with his predicament, he replied, “You know, I was just thinking the same thing.”

That was when it happened. Two burly men shoved their way in front of Grace as she was excitedly hopping around in the queue.

Naturally, she instantly snapped at them, shouting, “Hey! What are you doing?! We're in line!!”

First startled by her blatant fearlessness, one of the men recovered and began towering over her with a frown. “What are you yapping about? Tch! This little prick is asking for a beating! We were in line a minute ago. We just stepped out to buy something.”

“What a load of crap!”

Their argument was drowned out by the sound of the crowd. Some people were annoyed by the men cutting in line, but everyone kept their mouths shut because the two were so big. They could also see thick tattoos under their short-sleeved shirts.

They were slouchy young men, unlike the gangsters that appeared in movies. There were parts of their way of speaking that made one think they were minors, despite their apparent age.

However, regardless of that, they were undeniably an intimidating group to get involved with, so the onlookers avoided making eye contact.

However, Grace had no concept of holding back. That was because she currently had a master sword named Seung-Hyun.

One of the men stared down at Grace and shoved her head using his finger. “Hey... hey, hey. You're glaring? So what if you glare? You gonna hit us here, where there are tons of people?”

Even then, no one behind them dared to step up, victims of their own fear.

Grace was incensed. “Stop shoving me! Didn't I say to stop shoving?”

“Whachu gonna do about it? Huh? You gonna hit me or something? Ooh, I'm so scared.”

Tch. I’d beat you up in a second if I could. Hey you little prick, what's with all the attitude? Just shut up and mind your own beeswax. Is the world gonna end just because the two of us ride first?”

It was a roar with zero logic.

A few people were about to call a nearby guard to stop the two men.

Seung-Hyun, who slowly approached them, spoke up and said, “There's a limit to how shameless a person can be. You little pricks are full of shit.”

“What'd you say, you son of a bitch?!”

“What? Did I say something wrong? The kid was already in line, you jerks.”

Haaah. Why is everyone being a dick today?”

The men grabbed Seung-Hyun by the collar.

He was just an ordinary guy who didn't work out, so he knew two huge guys like them could have him flat on the ground in under three minutes.

Even so, he still had an ace up his sleeve. “Evangeline! These guys are gonna hit me! Save...”

In the middle of his plea, Seung-Hyun turned his head to call for Evangeline. Even though she looked like a girl and was actually young, subduing the two in front of him would be a piece of cake for her.

Yet.

Huh?”

“Who are you calling, you little bitch?”

Evangeline was nowhere to be seen. It seemed she had gone after Si-Woo and Elysia.

Cold sweat poured down. It felt like a dagger plunged into his chest. Looking annoyed, he gulped and roughly shook off the man's hand. “Let go, you bastard. You're ticking me off.”

Then, he let out a hollow laugh, turned his head slightly, and looked back at the man.

In this crazy situation that was about to turn into a brawl, Seung-Hyun immediately grabbed Grace's arm.

And then, he ran for his life.

“Let’s go!!”

He ran as if he were trying to become one with the crowd.

Grace could only follow him in a panic. “Uh. Huh?! Seung-Hyun! Why are we running away?!”
