In a dim, sealed room, Sean woke to the sound of a newsboy shouting outside. The dizzying, world-spinning sensation from being sucked into the vortex hadn’t completely faded, making him think for a moment that he was back in Alola Town.

A tingling numbness from the corrosion of Magic Power spread through his body, clearly another effect of the vortex. Sean struggled to prop himself up. He shook his head hard, and as his mind finally cleared a bit, he began to survey his surroundings.

The good news was, he wasn’t alone.

The vortex hadn’t separated them; Eleanor and the others were all lying haphazardly around him.

The bad news was, it seemed he’d been captured again...

This was another prison cell.

Sean: "..."

He couldn’t help but lower his head, lost in thought.

’Has my luck been that bad recently? Why do I get captured every time I go somewhere new?’

The vortex from before must have been a Teleportation Gate. And since they used Space Magic, they were definitely no longer near Old Mundo City, which gave Sean a major headache.

He was different from Eleanor and the others. He had come from the Real World, first entering the Void Technique Space, then engaging in Dual Cultivation with Elvire, and only then arriving in the "New World." Including this latest vortex, he had "traversed" three times now, to the point he was starting to lose track of what was real and what wasn’t.

"Ugh... my head hurts."

Before long, Eleanor and the others also began to stir and wake up.

The young woman rubbed her head, looking around in a daze. "Where is this?"

Sean shook his head. "I don’t know either."

Tony saw him sitting there with his arms crossed, looking much more composed than the rest of them, and knew Sean had been awake for a while. He couldn’t help but ask, "Find anything?"

Like how to escape, or how many Guards there were.

His reaction was very professional. Seeing that everyone had been captured and thrown in a cell, his first thought was how to break out. Clearly, this wasn’t his first time behind bars.

Sean shook his head again. "No idea."

He paused, then added, "But I do have a way to help you guys clear your heads."

Without a second thought, Tony said, "Do it!"

His head was throbbing, and he thought he might have suffered some kind of mental trauma, which Sean could conveniently heal.

But who would’ve thought Sean would just raise his right hand and shoot a Water Gun Technique right at him, instantly drenching his face.

Tony, water dripping from the tips of his hair: "???"

"Are you using this as an excuse to get revenge on me??"

Sean: "Just tell me if you’re awake now or not."

Tony: "..."

Sean then looked at Eleanor, Kave, and the others. "How about you? Need my help?"

They all quickly refused. "No, no, we can handle it ourselves."

They were Tier Six Wizards, after all. While they couldn’t resist Space Magic, they could still deal with some of its aftereffects.

So, the few of them sat down on the spot and began to sort out the Magic Power that had been thrown into disarray by the vortex through Meditation.

Their captors must have held back. Otherwise, with the power of Space Magic, a Tier Six Wizard sucked inside would be severely injured, if not killed outright.

Sean didn’t disturb them, joining Tony to stand watch at the cell door.

Tony’s eyes darted back and forth, peering outside.

Normally, a prison would definitely have Prison Guards or, at the very least, Guards to prevent inmates from escaping.

But he looked left and right, and still couldn’t see a soul.

About half an hour passed. Eleanor and the others had more or less recovered, but still no one had come.

"We should be... able to leave, right?" Tony said, a little uncertain. "I don’t think there are any Guards for this cell."

"Be more confident. Drop the ’I think,’" Sean said, holding up the lock on the door for everyone to see.

There was a key stuck in it.

Sean gave it a light turn, and the cell door swung open.

Everyone: "?"

"What’s the meaning of this?"

Kave was baffled. "They used Space Magic just to catch us, but then they bring us back and just... ignore us? What in the world is the Church Court planning?"

Eleanor chimed in with her own complaint, "I’ve never seen such a shoddy prison cell. You can even hear the vendors shouting outside."

’Who builds a prison right on a main street?’

’Are they afraid the prisoners *won’t* be able to escape?’

Ryan, however, calmly reminded everyone, "Don’t forget how we got here."

The painting of the First Saintess was also just left there, with almost no defensive Power. After it was stolen, they didn’t send anyone to chase us. There were no checkpoints on the way out of the city; they just let us run. And what was the result?

Their current situation was strikingly similar to when they stole the painting.

"I suspect it’s a trap," Ryan analyzed seriously.

But Johnson had already kicked the cell door wide open. "Buddy, what I’m saying is, we’ve already been captured. What kind of trap could be left?"

"And even if it is a trap, are we just supposed to wait here and not go out?"

No Prison Guards meant no one would bring them prison meals. If they obediently stayed put in their cell, they’d probably starve to death before they ever even saw an enemy.

Ryan: "..."

’He has a point, doesn’t he?’

"Let’s go. We’ll check things out first," Sean said as well.

’Things can’t possibly get any worse. The worst that could happen is we get zapped back here. Better to take the initiative and gather some useful information than to just sit here waiting to die. At the very least, we need to figure out where we are so we know which way to run.’

"Everyone, be careful."

Tony warned, then walked out of the cell, taking the lead.

He held a blade of wind in his hand, ready to deliver a devastating blow to any enemy that might suddenly appear.

But not only were their enemies lax in their security, the layout of the prison was shockingly simple. After walking just a few steps down the corridor, Tony found a door. He opened it to reveal a warm, sunny, and bustling street.
