After learning the true nature of this world and the real purpose and dangers of the Fallen Nether Technique from her sister, Elvire was terrified something might happen to Sean. She hadn't even brought him back for her sister's approval yet.

Sean, who'd had a similar experience, was just as worried about Elvire.

Seeing that Elvire had returned even earlier than he had, and that she was safe and sound, he finally relaxed and pulled the girl into a hug.

Elvire: "?!!"

"What are you doing!"

Sean said with relief, "I'm just glad you're okay."

Elvire: "???"

"What does me being okay have to do with you hugging me?"

"Let me put it another way," Sean said, his expression serious. "We've been apart too long. I missed you."

Elvire: "?????"

'Did something happen to him in the New World?'

'Why is he suddenly being so direct?'

'If it weren't for the familiar warmth and scent coming from him, she'd suspect his body had been stolen. To think he'd actually say he missed her...'

"Let go of me!" Elvire used all her strength to push Sean away. Her face was flushed, but her expression was fierce. She balled her fists and gritted her teeth. "Who gave you permission to miss me?"

"How dare you!"

'If he's not missing me, is he missing some other woman?'

'See? When I say I won't miss you, you get upset.'

Watching the girl's usual tsundere act, Sean sighed to himself. 'My little sister-in-law really is adorable.'

'Not at all like the high and mighty Her Highness the Saintess, who pushed me off a cliff just as she said she would, without even batting an eye.'

'...So vicious!'

Seeing Sean suddenly go silent, Elvire's gaze turned suspicious and dangerous. "You're not actually thinking about some other woman, are you?"

"Of course not!" Sean immediately changed the subject, rolling out of bed. "Let's go. To World's End. I have something very important to tell you."

When it came to business, Elvire's expression turned serious as well. "I have something to tell you, too."

Sean said, "Gentlemen first. I'll speak first."

Elvire: "?"

Before she could argue, Sean had already put on his shoes, taken her hand, and led her out of the room.

Elvire glanced at her hand, held tightly in Sean's. 'If you wanted to hold my hand, you could have just said so,' she snarked internally. 'Why make up an excuse...'

But she didn't pull away.

'After a month without seeing Sean in the flesh, I have to admit I kind of missed the sight and sound of him.'

'Yep, the way you miss a good friend.'

'It doesn't matter who goes first anyway. If he wants to go first, fine.'

"Are Sopea and Kate awake?" Sean asked.

Elvire nodded. "They're awake, but they're recuperating."

Sopea and Kate had woken up a long time ago.

But their injuries were severe.

Much more serious than last time.

According to Elise, they'd said a quick hello upon returning and immediately gone into recovery. They spent their days doing nothing but taking medicine and meditating. She had no idea what they'd run into in the New World.

Sean: "..."

'Did they pick a fight with some Grand Mage again?'

'Or maybe they accidentally blew their cover?'

'What a pair of old, unlucky bastards.'

"Let's not disturb them, then," Sean said.

We can get the others, though. Elise should stay at the hotel, just in case something goes wrong while Sopea and Kate are recovering.

But Elvire said, "Mr. Adelf and the others have already left."

She knew what Sean was thinking without him having to say it. He must have also discovered the secret of the two worlds and wanted to prove it to Adelf and the Night Watcher—especially the Night Watcher. After all, the man had berated Sean earlier. If she were in his shoes, she'd want to rub that old geezer's face in it too.

But they had stayed in the "New World" for too long this time.

Never mind Sean; even she, who'd woken up a month prior, hadn't gotten to see Adelf and the Night Watcher one last time before they left.

The Day of Abstinence was over, and it was time to get back to work. Everyone had their own business to attend to. So, when the cruise ship made its return voyage, they had gone back with the rest of the tourists.

The Wizards of the Long Night and Dawn Council left with Adelf and the Night Watcher as well.

The only ones left in town were the few who had originally come together.

And a certain Mr. Sea Witch, his Magic Power suppressed, who was locked up in the hotel.

"It doesn't matter," Sean said.

If Olivia hadn't "deceived" him—if this wasn't just a trick concocted by the "New World" reading his mind—then the Night Watcher and the others would find out sooner or later that the Kovri Ruins were, in fact, still there.

It just wasn't in this world. It was in another one where they had once lived.

Soon, Sean led the Witch, Yisha, and the others back to the cliff at World's End.

Endless darkness still lay below the cliff.

But looking down into that darkness now, Sean no longer felt his initial "fear."

'Because that's where I just came back from.'

"You all probably know by now that our world isn't the only one, right?" Sean asked.

Yisha and the others nodded.

Elvire had discussed it with them after she woke up. And while Miss Flame Crow was never one to joke about serious matters, the story was simply too incredible. Furthermore, Daeli hadn't known her "brother-in-law" was Blake, so she'd left out many details to protect her sister. As a result, Elvire didn't know much herself. It was like being given a math problem and its final answer, but with all the steps in between missing. Many parts of the story didn't add up, which made it very hard to believe.

Sean didn't state it as a hard fact. He used a simple qualifier—

"If all of this is true, then the entrance to the other world is right under this cliff."

"But we can't just test it ourselves, can we?" Yisha stared nervously at Sean, afraid her teacher might impulsively jump. She remembered Mr. Adelf saying the darkness was extremely dangerous. Regardless of whether it was natural or man-made, anyone below the level of a Grand Mage was guaranteed to die if they went down; there was no room for luck.

"Relax, I'm not that stupid."

Sean had "personally" tested the darkness, but that had been with his Soul Reflection. That was probably why Olivia had been willing to push him off the cliff.

In other words, a Soul Reflection that was powerful enough could traverse the darkness and reach the "New World," a place the physical body couldn't go.

"But that's useless, isn't it?" Lante said. "Even if our souls can cross over, what good does that do?"

It wasn't that he was trying to be difficult. The very fact that he'd dropped his work to come here with Sean showed he was willing to believe him. The problem, however, was that their "physical bodies" couldn't cross the darkness. Even if their souls found the Kovri Ruins in the New World, they couldn't bring anything back. They couldn't even prove that world was real. What if it was all just a dream?

"That's why we need to find another way across."

Sean said.

A way for them to get to the New World in the flesh.

"Is there another way besides the Teleportation Array hidden in the darkness?" Elise asked, puzzled.

Her Tier wasn't high enough to delve into Space Mysticism, but as a Reshaper, she remembered bits and pieces. Besides, it was just common sense: Teleportation Arrays were used to cross vast distances. If the destination was only a short walk away, why go to all the trouble of setting one up?

In other words, while crossing the darkness led to the "New World," that didn't mean the "New World" was literally under the cliff. No one knew its actual location; it all depended on the Power of that Teleportation Array. To put it dramatically, the distance between the two worlds might as well be measured in "light-years." How were they supposed to cross that?

"No, no, no, Elise, listen to me."

Sean said, "We actually know where it is."

He tilted his head back, squinting at the brilliant sun.

"Remember how we discussed the time difference?"

No matter when they went, the time of day in the Real World never matched the sky over the Kovri Ruins.

It was the same this time.

He had met Diana at night.

After being pushed off the cliff, he returned to daytime.

But that wasn't even the most important part.

The important thing was that on his way back, Sean had seen the flag planted on the cliff.

In that instant, he thought of his old friend, Chris.

And something Chris had once told him—

"Sean, I've discovered a secret!"

"The world we live in isn't round, it's flat!"

Diana had deliberately pushed him off the cliff to send him back, and in doing so, she was also giving him a hint.

Sean crouched down, pulled out the flag bearing the Krobel Club emblem, and gripped its wooden shaft.
