The Most Arbitrary Wizard

Chapter 296 151: "Two Lords, Please Make Your Move!

So, the Fallen Nether Technique didn't just allow people from the Farm World to go to the New World; it could also bring people from the New World to the Farm World. Although the Church Court of the New World had already listed the *Fallen Nether Technique* as a forbidden book, sealing it away in the Bright Royal Court where even Diana couldn't access it, they possessed a Spiritual Rubbing.

'All they had to do was tell Diana the contents of the book, and she could come over immediately. With her Tier Ten, unparalleled Magic Power, crossing thousands of miles would be nothing more than a single Spatial Magic spell. No matter where she appeared, she could instantly rush to World's End to save them.'

'Diana must know that the 'him' in this world is the real him. If he were killed, he would be well and truly dead. Sean was confident that, given the bond they shared as husband and wife—a bond that had persisted for hundreds of years, across several lifetimes, without either forgetting the other—Diana wouldn't just stand by and watch him die.'

'As for how I'll explain things to Kate and the others, especially Elvire...'

'I'll figure that out after I survive!'

'If I'm going to die, I'd rather die in my little sister-in-law's arms.'

If Diana knew what Sean was thinking, she would surely "praise" him for being as romantic as ever.

Too bad Diana would never know.

At least, not for the time being.

Because his enemies gave him no chance to contact Diana—

Just as Sean and the others were feeling cornered by Eleanor's move, Robert also sensed that something was amiss.

He stood at the port, watching his men wolf down their food, mulling things over. He just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.

'Following that line of thought,' he reasoned, 'let's assume there's a mole in the family and Sean's group got wind of our operation. They'd have to understand that three thousand Witch Hunters are enough to turn a small place like World's End upside down. Hiding in the mountains would be useless. When people get hungry, they have to eat. Sure, hiding in the mountains might let them evade the search for a while, but it's also a slow death.'

'If I were Sean, what would I do in this situation?'

Robert put himself in Sean's shoes, thinking long and hard from his perspective.

And he actually thought of a way.

'To survive, you have to leave World's End. To leave World's End, you have to go through White Ice Port. If I were Sean, I'd do everything I could, even risk my life, to sneak onto a ship. It's the only chance to escape with my life. Getting caught would mean a gruesome death, but that's still better than facing certain death.'

Then he remembered the subordinate with the incredible nerve—the one who hadn't found jack squat, yet still dared to say he was hungry and wanted to eat... It all clicked for Robert. He snapped his head up, his gaze flying toward the cruise ship. His sharp eyes cut through the Witch Hunters milling about, stabbing directly toward Sean and the others.

"You lot, get over here!"

"Now! Immediately!"

His old, raspy voice was laced with a sharp killing intent, startling the surrounding Witch Hunters. They all turned in unison to stare at Sean and his group.

"We're screwed..."

They'd been discovered.

Yisha's heart plummeted as if dropped into an ice cave, a bone-deep chill spreading through her. The hand that had been feigning to shovel food into her mouth froze unnaturally.

Elise and the others, their faces hidden under their hoods, exchanged a look and saw the despair in each other's eyes.

'First, we were discovered by the Grand Mage, and now Robert has seen through our disguises.'

'Perhaps that Grand Mage sent a telepathic message to Robert... Either way, we really have nowhere to run now.'

Seeing that the group was ignoring his command, frozen in place, Robert smiled.

It was a smile brimming with murderous intent.

"I almost forgot. There's a Witch among you, and her specialty is brewing Magic Potions for disguise."

"Fine, you don't have to come over. Just take off your hoods and let me have a good look at your faces!"

By now, Robert was certain. The subordinate who had asked him for food was none other than Sean himself!

Seeing that his disguise had been exposed, Sean decided to drop the act.

He pulled off his hood. The face beneath it blurred and reformed, finally settling into his own features.

The surrounding Witch Hunters' eyes went wide.

"Holy shit, Sean?"

"When the hell did he sneak in?"

How did none of them know??

"I never thought Mr. Robert would be so clever. This is a bit unexpected," Sean said. He ignored the ghost-white faces of the Witch Hunters, his calm tone laced with a faint mockery, as if taunting Robert for taking so long to figure it out.

Robert stared at Sean's face, identical to the one in the photographs, and let out a laugh born of pure fury.

"So, it really is you!"

"Good. Very good!"

"You took the opportunity when I sent my men to search for you to kill them, put on their clothes, change your faces, and sneak onto the cruise ship. Then you'd just quietly leave with us... Sean, oh, Sean, you really are both bold and cunning!"

Sean lifted his gaze, meeting Robert's without a shred of fear. "Is old Mr. Robert complimenting me?"

"I am," Robert admitted freely, his tone turning cold. "Because I never skimp on praise for a dead man."

He was starting to understand why Quill and Zajik had fallen at Sean's hands time and again.

This young man was exceptionally capable.

He was daring in both thought and action, and he'd almost managed to fool him.

Too bad he fell short by just that little bit.

There would be no second chances.

Tonight was the night Sean would die!

"Oh? Mr. Robert sounds very confident," Sean said, his tone playful.

Robert retorted, "And why shouldn't I be confident? Is Mr. Sean implying that I found out too late?"

"That you've already taken control of this cruise ship?"

"Or that three thousand men can't defeat you?"

"To be honest, I believe you."

"You were able to kill Zajik in New Eldo and get out alive. That's enough to prove you're far more than you appear on the surface. I'd believe anything you say."
