The Most Arbitrary Wizard
Chapter 297 151: "Two Lords, Please Make Your Move!Sean: "..."
Robert sounded so sincere, as if he were telling the truth, that Sean was actually left at a loss.
He had deliberately put on a confident front to buy as much time as possible to think of a countermeasure and find a chance to escape.
Even if his bluff was called again, he had to keep up the act at this point.
'He dared to put on an act, and Robert actually bought it...'
Robert gave him a meaningful smile. "Do you know why?"
"Why would I believe that three thousand men couldn't take you down, yet still stand here talking to you, unafraid you'll run away?"
"Because you can't escape."
"Sean, the sheer vastness of our world far exceeds your imagination."
"Did you think that Tier Six is the pinnacle for a Wizard?"
"That because you could kill Zajik, you can kill me too?"
"Wrong!"
"Let me tell you, Tier Six isn't the pinnacle for a Wizard. It's not even the starting point."
"In places you know nothing about, there are people so powerful you wouldn't even be able to muster the will to resist."
"You should thank me, Sean."
Robert said, "Thank me for giving you a surprise before you die, for letting you witness what true Power is."
As he spoke, he stopped looking at Sean. Instead, he bowed respectfully toward the hotel on the cruise ship and announced loudly:
"Your Excellencies, please make your move!"
The next second.
A vast ocean of Magic Power erupted from the cruise ship, like a monstrous tidal wave from a great tsunami. It swept over everything, pressing down on the many Witch Hunters at the port until they could barely breathe.
"Is this... a Grand Mage...?"
Their bodies trembled instinctively, their eyes filled with terror.
Yisha and the others turned ashen-faced.
They already knew there was a Grand Mage on the ship, but Robert had said, "Your Excellencies."
In other words, there wasn't just one Grand Mage on the ship, but two!
One was already enough to drive them to despair. A second one... How could they possibly escape??
Sean didn't know either.
But even if he didn't know how, he had to run.
Should he just stay put and wait for death, hoping that Robert or those two Grand Mages would show mercy and spare them?
'That would be the stupidest thing to do.'
"Run!" Sean's Forbidden Magic Power instantly unfurled, materializing a golden Light Wall covered in characters. But this Light Wall wasn't meant to block the incoming attack. Instead, it appeared behind him, instantly shoving Yisha and the others, who hadn't yet reacted, off the ship.
Only a single Giant Sword, wreathed in roaring flames, pierced through the Light Wall.
Elvire's Fire Wings flapped behind her as she broke through the Light Wall to stand beside Sean, shoulder to shoulder.
"Don't even think about leaving me behind."
Sean smiled. "Alright. Then we die together."
"Excellent, excellent! True love revealed in times of crisis!" Robert's smile was vicious. "I'm a kind-hearted person. I can't bear to see lovers torn apart by death. Since you two are so close, I will definitely grant your wish!"
He turned his head and once again shouted respectfully, "Your Excellencies, please act now!"
"As you wish." Eleanor's deliberately cold voice drifted over from a distance.
The violent Magic Power that had swept across the entire port finally descended at that moment.
A giant mirror appeared in the sky.
—Great Magic, Mirror Death Curse.
Anyone reflected in the mirror would shatter along with it.
This was a type of Mind Magic, but because its nature leaned toward destruction and it could shred a person's soul, it was also commonly known as a "Soul Curse."
Robert, whose memories hadn't been completely erased, remembered this Magic. With conventional Magic, a Low-tier Wizard might be able to use a Forbidden Spell or some other Secret Technique to bridge the Tier gap and clash with a Grand Mage—they might even survive a single blow. But against a Soul Curse, there was no chance at all.
Because it dealt "True Damage."
Seeing the Eleanor Sisters unleash a killing blow right from the start, Robert's eyes turned bloodshot, and he began to laugh with wild glee.
"Die, Sean, you little thief!"
But just as the words left his mouth, he suddenly felt that something was wrong.
A bone-chilling sensation rose in his heart without any warning.
This was a Wizard's instinctive premonition of death.
Robert subconsciously looked up, only to discover to his horror that the people whose souls were being captured in the giant mirror's reflection were not Sean and Elvire, but the many clansmen he had brought with him—and himself!
Robert hurriedly shouted, "Your Excellencies, you're reflecting the wrong people!"
Eleanor replied politely, "We haven't, Mr. Robert."
"Thank you for your generous hospitality these past few days. Please die peacefully."
Robert: "???"
