The Most Arbitrary Wizard

Chapter 326 - 160: "Great Again!

Her job was to "supervise," in case the young girl couldn’t bring herself to be ruthless.

As for Eleanor and Elise...

Under Sean’s arrangements, the two women had changed out of their maid uniforms for the first time and dressed up as ordinary university students. By now, they had already blended into the crowd at Romeo Park.

Just as Sean had said from the start, the two were not to engage unless absolutely necessary. Therefore, their mission was to ensure Elise and Yisha could complete their task without incident.

For example, if Little Yisha’s shot was so wild it risked hitting a civilian.

In that case, the Eleanor Sisters would secretly alter the bullet’s trajectory to ensure no innocent civilians were harmed.

Of course, a more important task was to protect Yisha and Elise, making sure the enemy didn’t accidentally turn the tables and kill them instead.

The Empire, ruled by the Church Court, had no such position as president—or rather, the Church Court itself filled that role. Outside of the Church Court, the highest-ranking political officials were the state governors. Although Pulente was almost a former governor, he still had a few days left in office. According to the laws of Siracle State, he wouldn’t officially step down until a new governor was elected, at which point there would be a formal succession ceremony. Until then, Pulente was still the Governor of Siracle State.

And since he was a governor, his bodyguards were bound to be a professional team.

There was no telling if they had any masters in their ranks.

Theoretically, even the most elite soldier among ordinary people would be no match for a Wizard at Tier Three or above. But that was just Sean’s personality. When it came to himself, he might have preferred adventure and thrills, but when his friends were involved, he’d rather things be foolproof.

From this perspective, he was just as guilty of a "double standard" as Elvire.

Inside the hotel room, Yisha had already taken the "cello" out of its case.

This sniper rifle was a real one, not something condensed from Magic Power. Generally, any weapon formed from Magic Power is limited by the Wizard’s maximum casting range. Take the simplest Fireball Technique, for example; hitting a target a hundred meters away was already remarkable. Any farther, and not only would the impact point be uncontrollable, but the Magic Power would also dissipate, failing to maintain its original destructive force. That was why Elise had been bluffing last time when she told Yisha to start by running four hundred meters away.

If Yisha had actually run four hundred meters, Elise probably wouldn’t have even seen her shadow, let alone been able to hit her.

And since the straight-line distance from the hotel window to the ground in the park was over four hundred meters, a real gun was necessary.

After taking out the sniper rifle, which looked almost bigger than she was, Yisha didn’t immediately rest it on the windowsill. Instead, she fetched a towel and began to wipe down the gun’s body with practiced, meticulous care. This was the final pre-mission check of the weapon.

Once her preparations were complete, Yisha cracked the window open just a sliver, using the curtain to conceal the opening. She then picked up her binoculars, hid to one side of the windowsill, and began to carefully observe the scene.

Seeing the girl’s tense posture, Elise couldn’t help but chuckle.

"Little Yisha, don’t be nervous."

"It’s not as hard as you think."

"Close your eyes, squeeze the trigger, and their time on this earth is over. Simple as that."

Yisha: "..."

’Easy for you to say. You think this is a game?’

’Someone is actually going to die!’

’The pressure on her was immense; it would be weirder if she *wasn’t* nervous.’

Yisha ignored Elise’s teasing and focused on observing everything in the park.

’Even though she really didn’t want to be the sniper, this was still the first "homework" her teacher had ever assigned her. If she could, she wanted to do it perfectly so she could ask for a reward later...’

The clock in the room ticked away.

Time passed, and the crowd in the park grew larger and larger.

Someone arrived with a basket of eggs—weapons, unsurprisingly.

Others unfurled banners, their faces painted with Pulente’s name, warmly welcoming his arrival.

After all, he had been governor for several years. Even with the massive fallout from the recent plane crash, not everyone was a critic; he still had some true supporters.

By two in the afternoon, the vast park was a sea of people. This was especially true near the designated speech area, which was cordoned off with security tape. When Yisha looked through her binoculars, all she could see was a sea of heads of every shape and size—it was more bustling than a soccer match.

Romeo Park had probably never imagined in its entire existence that it would host so many guests at once.

It had gotten so crowded that Eleanor and Elise were forced to use an Invisibility Spell and fly into the air.

They had no desire to jostle with the crowd below.

"Not the least bit elegant," Elise muttered.

Eleanor, however, was more understanding of the scene. "Believers are never elegant," she said.

On the contrary, frenzy is their normal state.

The more fanatical their behavior, the greater their loyalty.

Elise had a sudden realization. "No wonder I feel like going wild every time I see the Master, especially when I’m giving him a bath... Hehehe..."

Eleanor: "?"

’Is that what you call going wild?’

’You’re just horny!’

Eleanor facepalmed.

’How did she end up with a sister who has no sense of propriety?’

’I’d never noticed Elise was this lewd before.’

The two sisters chatted idly in the sky.

Meanwhile, the crowd on the ground was passionately discussing what grand pronouncements the Governor would make today.

There was one thing about Pulente that even his critics couldn’t deny: he was an excellent orator.

For one thing, the style of his speeches was completely different from other politicians’.

Other politicians tended to be serious, earnestly laying out their dreams and ambitions. They’d describe the future they envisioned for Siracle State, promising things like a home for every citizen, and so on.
