The Most Arbitrary Wizard

Chapter 344 - 167: "It’s an Honor

"Sis, what do you think Her Highness the Saintess really meant?"

"Telling us to follow the rules in the manual..."

Elise and Eleanor chatted as they walked away from Hesinra Palace.

They had thought this matter would be more complicated. After all, once they reported to the Saintess, they were supposed to join her people to intercept Pulente’s reinforcements and stop them from reaching the Farm World. But unexpectedly, the Governor turned out to be on their side. The situation suddenly became simple, and in less than half an hour, Her Highness the Saintess had already shooed them out.

That was just Diana’s personality. She didn’t like idle chatter. Once official business was concluded, she would see her guests out.

"Don’t try to guess what Her Highness the Saintess is thinking," Eleanor cautioned. "We can’t figure it out anyway, so don’t worry about it. Just do as she instructed."

"That’s true, but..." Elise tapped her chin. "The *Court Maid Manual* Lady Lilith gave us has sections on how to cultivate feelings with the Master. It says we can engage in ’appropriate seduction’ when necessary to gauge the Master’s attitude and grasp the kind of atmosphere he likes... Are we supposed to follow that too?"

Eleanor: "..."

To be honest, she wasn’t sure either.

The more she interacted with Diana, the more she found Her Highness the Saintess’s thoughts to be completely inscrutable.

During their last meeting, she had strictly reprimanded them, but this time, she had personally poured them tea. Furthermore, judging by Her Highness the Saintess’s final words, it seemed she even intended to back them up and told them not to be afraid of Elvire.

’We’re all women, but I really don’t understand the Saintess at all,’ Eleanor thought.

Logically speaking, feelings are selfish, especially love. Since Her Highness the Saintess was deeply in love with Sean, she definitely wouldn’t want other women flocking around him. Her reaction when Elise mentioned how many people were around Sean earlier had proved this point. Yet, in the next breath, Her Highness the Saintess was telling them to follow the rules in the manual...

Eleanor refused to believe that Diana didn’t know the manual’s contents, but she’d said it anyway. ’Could it be that Her Highness the Saintess truly doesn’t mind if we... devour Sean?’

"You’re right, sis." Elise couldn’t figure it out either, but she chose to stop thinking about it. For some reason, a shy smile appeared on her face, and a faint blush colored her delicate cheeks. "Anyway, it’s what Her Highness the Saintess wants. If something really does happen between us and the Master, and we end up with the Master’s child, well, you can’t blame us for that, hehe."

Eleanor: "???"

Hold on.

What the hell is she talking about?

Her and Sean’s relationship was purely that of master and servant. There wasn’t even any romantic tension yet, so how did things suddenly fast-forward to having children?!

"What are you planning to do?" Eleanor asked warily.

Elise blinked. "Do the Master, of course."

Eleanor: "?"

"I’m warning you, Elise. Until we figure out Her Highness the Saintess’s intentions, you’d better behave yourself."

If Her Highness the Saintess was just setting a trap, they wouldn’t have enough heads to lose.

"I’m not afraid, hmph," Elise huffed. "It’s not like she doesn’t know I like the Master. And since she knew that and still sent me to serve him, she should have expected this day would come."

"To be honest, sis, I’ve been holding back with the Master for a long time."

"Every time I bathe the Master, I’m tempted to just go all the way and pounce on him."

"Besides, I’m a Grand Mage, so the Master can’t resist anyway. After I do it a few more times, he’ll get used to it. He might even start to like me."

"It’s called ’familiarity breeds fondness.’"

Eleanor: "Heh."

She had long seen through her lustful little sister’s personality.

She only dared to talk big in front of her.

"Why don’t you go back right now and say all that again in front of Her Highness the Saintess?"

"I think I’ll pass..." Elise stuck out her tongue. "I’m not tired of living just yet."

Eleanor rolled her eyes at her. "Good that you know. Stop thinking about such nonsense."

Elise: "I want to!"

"I don’t just want to think about it, I want to do it."

"This is a rare chance to get ahead with official permission, and I’m not going to miss it."

"And you can drop the act, sis. There’s no one else here. You’re actually thinking the same thing, aren’t you?"

Elise pumped a small fist. "Two sisters, one heart; we’ll leave him... spent! Let’s go capture the Master together!"

Eleanor: "?"

’Capture my ass!’

"If you want to die, go ahead, but don’t drag me down with you."

"Is that so?"

Elise feigned surprise. "Could it be that you don’t like the Master, sis?"

Eleanor: "..."

She turned her head away and said, "There’s no ’could it be’. I never liked him in the first place."

"When did I ever say I liked him?"

"Then turn your head back, look me in the eyes, and say it again," Elise said.

"No." Eleanor quickened her pace and walked ahead.

Elise wasn’t about to let her go that easily. She ran up and hugged her arm. "Oh my, sis, why is your face so red?"

"Red my ass." Eleanor shot her a glare. "We’re crossing the street. Watch where you’re going!"

Elise: "It’s fine. We’re both Grand Mages. A regular car can’t kill us."

Eleanor: "..."

’So as long as it doesn’t kill you, you’ll keep pushing your luck until it does, huh?’

The two sisters bickered all the way to a hotel.

They specifically got a room, planning to log off inside. Otherwise, disappearing in the middle of the street would arouse suspicion.

"Oh, right, sis. Are we really not going to tell the Master that we gave the Fallen Nether Technique to Her Highness the Saintess?" Elise suddenly remembered this just before they were about to leave.

Eleanor hesitated. "Didn’t Her Highness the Saintess say she wanted to give the Master a surprise? It’s probably better not to say anything..."

Elise: "But, doesn’t this count as betraying the Master?"

Eleanor: "Then if we tell the Master, doesn’t that count as betraying Her Highness the Saintess?"
