[Ophelia’s POV]

The Leviathan was no longer far from view.

As she drew closer, she slowly descended toward it, with the two unconscious scholars limply suspended behind her by [Telekinesis].

The upper deck gradually came into clearer view beneath her, where several academy officials were still moving about and overseeing the aftermath of the recall.

Landing gracefully on the upper deck of the Leviathan, Ophelia immediately drew their attention.

The academy officials nearby straightened and saluted as she approached, but she only gave them a brief nod before turning toward the nearest one.

"These two scholars require immediate medical attention, take them to the infirmary and have the healers examine them at once."

She pointed toward Ruvian and Julian, both still hanging motionless in the air behind her.

Two academy officials immediately nodded and saluted before stepping forward to receive them.

"Understood, Chancellor."

One of them replied as they carefully took control of the two unconscious scholars, supporting their bodies with magic before carrying them toward the Leviathan’s medical ward.

Ophelia watched them leave for only a moment before turning toward the official who remained. With Ruvian and Julian now safely in the hands of the healers, there was another matter she needed to confirm.

"Give me a report, what is the current situation with the evacuation?"

The man straightened his posture before answering, "With those two scholars accounted for, every scholar participating in the examination has now been safely evacuated from Vazrun Island."

Ophelia’s gaze remained fixed on him, prompting the official to continue.

"A number of them suffered moderate injuries during the recall, while several others required immediate healing upon arrival," the official continued.

"None of the injuries appear life-threatening, and everyone has already received basic treatment," he continued. "For now, the scholars have been returned to their assigned rooms according to their squads, and they have been ordered to remain there until further notice."

Ophelia gave a small nod before asking.

"Have there been any problems with that arrangement?"

The official hesitated briefly before shaking his head.

"There has been some confusion among the scholars, Chancellor, especially regarding why the examination ended so suddenly. A few have been asking questions, but the instructors have managed to keep everyone calm, and no serious issues have occurred so far."

"I see, thank you for the report."

Ophelia replied as her gaze briefly shifted toward the entrance leading deeper into the Leviathan.

There were still several matters she needed to settle before she could afford to rest, and one person in particular she needed to speak with.

"By the way, where is Instructor Arveth? I need to see him immediately."

*****

With [Warp], Ophelia immediately arrived at the detention wing where Instructor Arveth was, appearing in the narrow corridor just outside the holding cells.

The place was quieter than the upper deck, with only the faint sound of low hum of magic coming from the inner body of the ship.

Instructor Arveth had just stepped out from deeper inside when space suddenly twisted in front of him.

Caught off guard by the Chancellor’s sudden appearance, Arveth’s eyes widened as he nearly clutched his chest and stumbled half a step back toward the wall of the cramped passage.

His shoulders tensed for a moment before he quickly recognized who had appeared before him.

"Haaa... no matter how many times you do that, Chancellor, I still cannot get used to you suddenly appearing with [Warp]."

He let out a short breath and straightened himself.

"You nearly took a few years off my life just now." Then his expression settled as he looked at her properly, "Anyway, what brings you here?"

Ophelia ignored the small complaint and glanced past him toward the reinforced doors farther down the corridor.

There were several holding cells inside, each one protected by layers of restriction magic.

"Is Scholar Loden in there?"

Arveth nodded and shifted slightly to the side, allowing her a clearer view of the corridor behind him.

"Yes, he is being held in Cell Seven, and I already questioned him about how he managed to bypass the academy’s security inspection with that weapon."

His expression grew more serious as he continued.

"He was very cooperative about that part, and according to him, a demon disguised as an academy official was the one who helped him get through."

Ophelia’s eyes narrowed slightly.

’As I thought... more of them have already infiltrated the academy.’

Arveth continued: "As for everything else, he refused to answer any further questions, no matter what I asked him."

He then gave a small sigh, "He said he would only cooperate once the person he wants to speak with comes here."

Ophelia frowned as her gaze shifted back toward Arveth.

"Who could that be?"

Arveth looked directly at her, his expression turning strangely firm.

"Scholar Ruvian."

*****

Inside one of the Leviathan’s treatment rooms, several healers moved around the two unconscious scholars without wasting any time.

Ruvian and Julian had already been placed on separate beds, while their battered clothes were stripped away and replaced with clean medical garments.

The blood, grime, and lingering traces of battle were carefully washed from their bodies before the healers began properly examining their conditions.

Before long, a soft green radiance spread across both beds as healing spells were cast over them, gradually sealing the lesser wounds and easing the severe strain buried deep within their muscles.

Potions were also administered in small doses to replenish their depleted mana and hasten their bodies’ recovery. One healer carefully monitored their breathing and pulse, while another examined their Spellcores for any signs of damage or instability.

They continued for several minutes, checking their bones, internal organs, mana circulation, and even the state of their minds.

Despite everything they had endured, neither scholar carried any critical injuries that demanded immediate treatment, and neither of their Spellcores showed any sign of fracture or collapse.

The only thing that truly stood out was the sheer depth of their exhaustion, as though both their bodies and minds had been pushed far beyond their natural limits.

One of the healers finally lowered her hand from Ruvian’s chest as the pale glow around her palm gradually faded.

She glanced toward Julian’s bed, then toward the other healers before giving a small nod.

"They are both stable. There is nothing critically wrong with either of them anymore. They are simply suffering from extreme exhaustion."

The healer’s gaze then returned to Ruvian, her expression growing noticeably more serious.

"However, the dark-haired scholar is suffering from severe mana-neural exhaustion, and his Spellcore has been strained dangerously close to complete depletion."

She pressed two fingers against the side of his neck, carefully feeling his pulse before continuing.

"His mental state is also under considerable strain, so I want him kept under constant observation until both his mind and Spellcore begin showing signs of recovery."

Another healer nodded and immediately began preparing an additional monitoring spell beside Ruvian’s bed.

"I’ll keep watch over his mana circulation and mental activity. If either begins showing signs of instability, I’ll call you immediately."

The first healer gave a brief nod before turning her attention back toward Julian.

Deep within Ruvian’s soul, however, Morvayne had heard every word.

She remained silent within the darkness, saying nothing as the healers continued their work outside, yet her attention never once drifted from the faint presence of her contractee.

’...You had better be fine, Child.’

For a time, she simply waited, hoping that Ruvian would awaken on his own. But as the silence continued without the slightest response, Morvayne’s patience finally began to wear thin.

’Perhaps... perhaps I should see for myself.’

Her presence stirred within the depths of his soul as a memory spell quietly began taking shape around her.

In the next instant, Morvayne allowed her awareness to descend deeper into Ruvian’s unconscious mind.

Into that silent world where her contractee still remained asleep...
