"It's not that I'm not looking, it's just that where should I look?"
Tang Rao gave it all he got, but finding something like these creatures full of holes is not just about effort; luck plays a role too.
Looking for the butthole?
Tang Rao should have thought harder about it earlier on, huh?
If he'd dug a little deeper, he'd have remembered castor beans and laxatives sooner.
"Buddy, if I can't find the butthole, at least I can find the mouth, right?"
Tang Rao circled around, and while the beast wasn't paying attention, he crammed a handful of laxatives straight into its mouth. With such a large dose, it's not about killing it with meds; a diarrhea is a given, right?
No matter how well-developed a Demon Beast is, it's not smarter than a human. Tang Rao shoved the laxative in its mouth, and if it had any brains, it would've spit it out, but it didn't. That's why, even with all their power, these dumb creatures can't outsmart humans.
The laxatives kicked in quickly; the Demon Beast's soft body started squirming uncontrollably.
Its expression looked pained. Sure enough, it didn't take long for its body to react—one of the slightly larger holes started spewing stuff out.
That stuff came with a stench, so bad Tang Rao almost cursed.
"Damn, did you grow up eating crap? The worst stink I've ever smelled has nothing on yours. If you bottled this up and sold it on Blue Star, it'd be a certified biochemical weapon."
No matter the stench, Tang Rao had to use his Divine Sense to lock onto that hole.
This meant he had to keep an eye on that hole at all times, no matter how gross it was; he had to stare straight at it, without blinking.
Finally, once the nasty stuff started to wane from that hole, Tang Rao donned a gas mask and cautiously approached it.
Before closing in, he made sure to use his Space Ring to clean up whatever had emerged. Didn't want his efforts to go to waste or risk suffocating from the stink, you know?
"Tang Rao, its power is still rising. Hurry up and find the tail to cut it off, or the consequences will be serious!"
Granny Hua, as powerful as she was, seemed to struggle a bit with the flow of Immortal Energy.
She had to urge Tang Rao to make haste; time wasn't exactly on their side.
"Got it, Master. Watch me!"
Tang Rao leapt up, adopting a pose he'd never imagined, plugging up the Demon Beast's butthole with one hand, diving right into that creepy hole, and wriggled his palm twice, almost bringing up yesterday's meals.
The short tail inside was now right on Tang Rao's palm, and if he wanted to, snapping it off was just a matter of moments.
An impressive Demon Beast brought down by Tang Rao; an end so pitiful it had never happened before in history. He'd be proud of this for quite some time.
As the short tail fell into his hand, the Male Demon Beast toppled over, never to rise again.
"Done, Master!"
A short tail handed over by Tang Rao was what made Granny Hua breathe a deep sigh of relief.
Lucky Tang Rao wrapped up over there. With just the three of them containing those two peak late-stage Divine Beasts, they thought it'd be easy. Little did they know, when the fight broke out, the strength gap wasn't going to change with mere thought; it was precisely defined by the Heavenly Dao and Heaven and Earth Rules.
Busy containing the Demon Beast, they'd forgotten about Heaven and Earth Rules. It's why they rushed in and suffered a huge loss.
"That's the tail alright, this little thing almost cost us our lives. So perhaps we should give the Heavenly Dao Rules even more attention going forward."
Wu Suowei, the one with the most knowledge among them, said this, prompting Tang Rao to hold the Heavenly Dao Rules in high regard, more than ever before.
"A Demon Beast surge isn't that simple; for sure there's someone behind controlling things. Xiao Bai has new clues, let's go check them out."
Tang Xiaobai still had unknown conditions over there. With the big Demon Beast dead, he wasn't sure if the small Demon Beast had changed.
His son's safety is paramount in his mind.
"Xiao Bai's got clues? Why mention it only now?"
Everyone knew Granny Hua didn't have children of her own, treating Tang Xiaobai like her own grandson. Whenever she found treasures during her travels, her first thought wasn't of Tang Rao, but Tang Xiaobai.
Only if Tang Xiaobai didn't want something would Granny Hua pass it to Tang Rao, often rubbing salt in his wounds, reminding him it wasn't meant for him at first; if not for Tang Xiaobai's disinterest, he wouldn't have gotten it.
"Just found out, okay?"
Besides, with the Demon Beast not yet dead, Tang Rao blurting out anything wouldn't help but shake morale, right?
So Tang Rao telling a harmless white lie doesn't seem like such a problem, yes?
Tang Rao reached out to Tang Xiaobai, asking him to send coordinates, aligning with the planned route and quickly locating the cave.
The little Demon Beasts inside were hopping out one by one, turning into large Demon Beasts just like the one Tang Rao and crew had just fought.
