The Rebirth of Humanity

Chapter 24: Humanity’s Arsenal

Several days had passed since the comprehensive training of the Human Army had begun.

Throughout Zeta, the training grounds were filled with activity.

Thousands of soldiers moved according to commands, military formations shifted constantly, weapons clashed against one another, and cultivation energy erupted across the simulated battlefields.

For the first time in thousands of years, humanity was finally taking its first real steps toward possessing a true army.

But to Fafnir...

This was merely the beginning.

Deep within the Sovereign Palace, Fafnir sat upon his ancient throne, his black eyes fixed ahead.

The army needed training.

But training alone was not enough.

In a large-scale war, warriors could not be relied upon alone.

Humanity needed rapid means of transportation.

Long-range weapons.

Heavy artillery.

Siege equipment.

Defensive systems.

And ships capable of carrying soldiers across vast distances through the skies.

Humanity needed a true arsenal.

Fafnir raised his hand.

He gave no order to anyone.

Instead, an extremely faint wave spread from him.

It was neither powerful nor hostile.

It was merely a special signal that reached only four people.

The Four Pillars of Humanity.

In different parts of Zeta, the four of them sensed the signal at almost the exact same moment.

Thorin stopped reading one of his reports.

Valor lifted his head from the documents before him.

Morgana halted whatever she had been doing.

And Eleanor felt a mysterious signal reach directly into her consciousness.

There was no voice.

No written message appeared.

Yet the meaning was unmistakable in their minds.

Come to the Sovereign Palace.

None of them hesitated.

Shortly afterward, the four left their respective locations and made their way toward the Sovereign Palace.

After some time...

The Four Pillars entered the ancient hall.

Fafnir was seated upon his throne.

The four stopped before him and bowed respectfully.

Thorin spoke first.

"Your Majesty."

Fafnir nodded calmly.

"You came."

Valor said:

"We received your signal, Your Majesty."

Fafnir did not answer.

He slowly raised his hand.

The expressions of the four changed.

They suddenly sensed a strange energy gathering around Fafnir.

Then...

Fafnir raised two fingers.

Four invisible strands of energy shot forth.

Each one entered directly into the mind of one of the four.

Their eyes widened.

At that very moment...

An enormous amount of information exploded within their minds.

They were not words.

Nor were they merely simple images.

It was complete knowledge.

Precise designs.

Structures.

Dimensions.

Mechanisms.

Energy systems.

Manufacturing methods.

Material compositions.

Movement mechanisms.

Control systems.

Strengths and weaknesses.

Every detail appeared in their minds all at once.

Within Thorin's mind appeared the image of a colossal vessel.

A flying warship.

Its enormous structure was designed for aerial movement, supported by a sophisticated energy system and equipped with multiple weapon platforms, troop compartments, and vast storage chambers for ammunition and energy.

Then other ships appeared.

Different sizes.

Different designs.

Different functions.

Massive warships for large-scale battles.

Fast vessels for reconnaissance.

Transport ships for soldiers.

Supply vessels.

Then came the weapons.

Enormous cannons.

Long-range weapons.

Energy-launching systems.

Devastating weapons that could be mounted upon the warships.

And others that could be deployed above cities and defensive fortifications.

Then came the details required to manufacture each one.

The materials.

Processing methods.

Assembly procedures.

Energy sources.

Operating systems.

And even methods of repairing them.

It was as though an entire library had been placed inside their minds within a matter of moments.

Then...

It all ended.

Fafnir lowered his hand.

Silence descended.

The four stood motionless.

Yet their expressions had changed completely.

Thorin was the first to open his eyes fully.

He stared at Fafnir in undisguised shock.

Valor's face, meanwhile, had gone pale.

Even Morgana, who rarely lost her composure, was staring at Fafnir as though trying to comprehend what had just happened.

As for Eleanor...

She was still struggling to process the information that had flooded her mind.

Thorin finally spoke.

"What..."

He stopped.

Then looked at Fafnir.

"What did you just send us?"

Fafnir answered simply:

"The knowledge required to manufacture the weapons humanity needs."

Thorin had nothing to say.

Valor spoke:

"Warships..."

He closed his eyes for a moment.

The details of the vessels remained perfectly clear within his mind.

"Cannons..."

"Long-range weapons..."

He opened his eyes.

"Defensive systems..."

Then he looked at Fafnir.

"Your Majesty, this knowledge..."

He stopped.

He simply did not know how to describe it.

Valor had spent many years studying countless fields of knowledge, and he understood very well the limits of what humanity currently knew.

Yet what Fafnir had placed inside his mind within mere moments...

Surpassed those limits by an enormous margin.

Morgana spoke:

"I have never seen anything like this before."

Eleanor added:

"Even the most accomplished craftsmen and scholars in Zeta would not be able to devise designs like these with ease."

The four looked at one another.

The same question was turning over in all of their minds.

Where had the Monarch obtained this knowledge?

Yet none of them dared ask immediately.

Finally, Thorin spoke.

"Your Majesty..."

He hesitated for a moment.

Then asked:

"Where did you obtain these blueprints?"

Silence.

Fafnir did not answer immediately.

His black eyes remained calm.

He had no need to fabricate a story.

Nor was there any reason for him to reveal the truth.

The truth itself was something the Four Pillars could never know.

The knowledge Fafnir had used had not come from the Sovereign Palace.

Nor had it come from some ancient library.

Nor from any record left behind by the original Fafnir.

It was part of the memories of the unknown soul residing within this body.

But to the Four Pillars...

Its origin remained a mystery.

Fafnir finally spoke.

"You have no need to know."

His tone was not harsh.

But it was final.

The four understood the message.

No more questions.

Valor said:

"Understood."

He then took a slow breath.

"But I have another question."

Fafnir looked at him.

"Speak."

Valor asked:

"Do you want us to begin manufacturing them immediately?"

Fafnir answered:

"Yes."

Then he added:

"I do not want a limited number of them."

"I want genuine production lines."

"I want shipyards."

"And weapons factories."

"And I want them capable of continuous production."

His eyes held absolute seriousness.

"This is not an experiment."

"It is the beginning of humanity's arsenal."

The four felt the weight of those words.

An arsenal.

Humanity had possessed nothing that could truly be called an arsenal for thousands of years.

Eleanor asked:

"What about the materials?"

"Some of the required materials are extremely rare."

Fafnir answered:

"List them first."

"Then search for them throughout Zeta."

"And if you cannot find enough..."

He paused briefly.

"Tell me."

Eleanor nodded.

"Understood."

Thorin said:

"I will oversee the testing of the weapons and warships once the first prototypes are completed."

Then Valor said:

"And I will oversee the conversion of the knowledge you transferred to us into actual production facilities."

Morgana added:

"I will establish a system for distributing the weapons among the army's units according to their respective roles."

Fafnir looked at all four of them.

Then he said:

"Begin."

They bowed.

"Yes, Your Majesty."

The four turned and left the hall.

But this time...

They carried within their minds knowledge powerful enough to change the future of humanity forever.

And the moment they left the Sovereign Palace, the same question continued to haunt them.

Where had the Monarch obtained such knowledge?

According to everything they knew, Fafnir had entered seclusion five thousand years ago.

Five thousand full years.

So how could someone emerge from a seclusion that had lasted for so long carrying knowledge of weapons that humanity had never even known existed?

They found no answer.

They could not even begin to guess.

Meanwhile, inside the hall...

Fafnir returned to his throne.

He closed his eyes.

Deep within his memories...

The knowledge he had just transferred remained.

Knowledge that did not belong to this world.

Knowledge carried by the unknown soul that had awakened within this body.

As for the source of that knowledge...

It was a secret he was not yet prepared to reveal.

Not now.

Fafnir opened his eyes.

A cold glimmer appeared within their black depths.

The Human Army was learning how to fight.

And now...

Humanity would learn how to forge the weapons of war.

The arsenal had begun.

And humanity had taken another step toward the day when it would return to the grand stage of Gandalia.
