Seeing Chen Erbao weave through the crowd like a ghost, the burly man's brow furrowed, and he unconsciously took a step back.

Yesterday, his nephew told him the guy could take on fifty men. He'd figured he was just a practitioner and had specifically called in his hall's elite tonight. But looking at the situation now, it seemed...

More and more of the thugs fell. Under the dim yellow light, the burly man couldn't even see Chen Erbao's shadow clearly. His expression finally changed. He retreated continuously until he was back at the sports car, where he grabbed a silver-white pistol from the armrest compartment and tucked it into his jacket.

"Fuck, where did this freak come from!"

Zhou Er was filled with regret. 'If I'd known this would happen, I would've called the hall's top enforcer!'

In just two short minutes, all one hundred-plus men were on the ground. Not a single one could get back up.

Zhou Er quickly pulled out his pistol, panicking. "Fuck you, are you a man or a ghost!"

A wave of fear washed over him. 'I shouldn't have been so careless!'

In a flash, Chen Erbao appeared in front of Zhou Er, staring with great interest at the pistol in his hand.

"Oh? You've even got a gun... Have you ever heard of Duan Zhengchun?"

"Huh?"

Zhou Er froze for a second, but when he saw Chen Erbao's figure disappear again, his heart seized, and he immediately tried to pull the trigger!

But it was too late!

His eyes shot wide open as he discovered that his finger, at some unknown point, had been bent back at a grotesque angle.

Only then did the excruciating pain register in his brain, forcing an agonized scream from his lips!

"AHH..."

Chen Erbao snatched the pistol and kicked Zhou Er in the stomach, sending him flying. He crashed hard against the sports car with such force that the car door buckled and warped.

Zhou Er could no longer scream. He clutched his stomach, his body curling into a ball.

Chen Erbao looked down at the exquisite pistol in his hand, fiddling with it for a moment before slowly walking over to Zhou Er and crouching down.

Pressing the muzzle against Zhou Er's head, Chen Erbao chuckled and said, enunciating each word, "This is how you use it, right? You press the trigger, and... BANG..."

The word "BANG" made Zhou Er's body tremble involuntarily. His crotch grew damp as a yellow liquid trickled out.

Chen Erbao shot him a disgusted look and sighed. 'This is so boring!'

'It's like beating up a little kid. This is just bullying!'

Chen Erbao stood up and pressed his foot on Zhou Er's head, applying slight pressure. "Now, call someone to bring money. Cash. If I'm not satisfied with the amount, I'll dump your body in the river."

He paused for a moment, then continued, "You can take a gamble. Bet on whether I've got the guts or not. The stake, however, is your life."

He had sensed a murderous aura from Zhou Er. 'This guy has killed before!'

He never had much patience for underworld scum like this.

Zhou Er whimpered for a while. With Chen Erbao's foot still on his head, he tremblingly fumbled for his phone, fought through the intense pain, and made a call.

"Bro, I need money... Right now. The more, the better... Stop asking questions, just bring it!"

After he gave the address, Chen Erbao finally lifted his foot.

"See? It's better to be obedient. Cooperate with me, and everyone will be fine tonight, understand?"

Chen Erbao nudged Zhou Er's face with his foot, then turned and walked toward the riverbank.

"Zhiqing, wasn't I cool?"

He came to Lin Zhiqing's side, raising his arm as if asking for praise.

Lin Zhiqing's eyes curved into crescents as she smiled, and she put on a cute voice. "Brother Er Bao is the best!"

"Hahaha..."

Receiving praise from the person he liked undoubtedly made Chen Erbao very happy.

He led Lin Zhiqing past the scattered, groaning thugs and over to Zhou Er, who was leaning against the car, gasping for air.

"Where did you get this gun?"

Chen Erbao felt he needed to brush up on his knowledge of firearms; he might run into them again in the future.

Zhou Er's face was pale, and beads of sweat trickled down his forehead. He answered intermittently:

"I... bought it... from the Triangle Zone."

"You have contacts there?"

Chen Erbao was quite familiar with the name Triangle Zone.

'It's been in plenty of TV shows.'

Zhou Er nodded, not daring to meet Chen Erbao's eyes. His voice trembled as he said, "Not exactly contacts... It's all done over the phone. They deliver to Dian Nan, and I went to Dian Nan to buy it..."

'Dian Nan, huh!'

Chen Erbao fell into deep thought.

'Looks like I'll have to make a trip to Dian Nan after this.'

'If I get the chance, I should check out the Triangle Zone. I need to see what level of firearms could actually pose a threat to me.'

'A pistol, at least, is no threat. Forget the fact that Zhou Er couldn't even get a shot off; even if he had, Chen Erbao was confident he could have dodged it.'

'Dodging a bullet with his speed might be a stretch, but predicting Zhou Er's movements to reposition himself would have been no problem at all.'

"I'm confiscating this. From now on, be a decent person. Otherwise, I'll be back, and it won't be as simple as just forking over cash. I'll take your life, understand?"

Chen Erbao's voice wasn't loud, but it struck Zhou Er's heart, making him tremble all over.

He could feel that Chen Erbao wasn't lying. He really would dare to kill him!

Zhou Er nodded to show he understood.

Lin Zhiqing glanced at the yellow liquid on the ground with disgust and took a few steps back. Seeing this, Chen Erbao couldn't help but laugh. "You're supposed to be a big-shot gangster. How could you get so scared you pissed yourself?"

Hearing this, Zhou Er's face flushed red then turned pale with shame. He lowered his head, remaining silent.

The three of them waited for about ten minutes before another Hummer drove up.

The vehicle came to a steady stop. A door opened, and a refined-looking man in a suit stepped out.

Looking closely, the man bore some resemblance to Zhou Er.

The man glanced at Zhou Er sitting on the ground, then at the thugs littering the area. His brow twitched slightly as his gaze landed on Chen Erbao.

But when he saw the pistol in Chen Erbao's hand, his pupils contracted.

The man wore a smile and spoke in a calm tone.

"Sir, my name is Zhou Yuan. I'm not sure what sort of misunderstanding you've had with my younger brother..."

Before he could finish, Chen Erbao waved a hand, cutting him off. "Cut the crap. Did you bring the money?"

Cut off mid-sentence, Zhou Yuan's mouth twitched. But after a moment of silence, he still opened the back door of the car.

"Sir, here is five million in cash. It's all I have on me at the moment. If you need more, I'm afraid you'll have to wait until tomorrow..."

"No need. Put it in my car. I'm in a hurry to get home and sleep."

Chen Erbao pointed to his own car, speaking nonchalantly.

Even though Zhou Yuan was good-tempered, being interrupted by Chen Erbao time and again had stirred some anger in his heart. However, he didn't let it show. Instead, he nodded and did as Chen Erbao said.

He hadn't brought anyone with him, so he had to grunt and heave the money into Chen Erbao's car by himself.

"We're leaving."

With these people ruining the mood, Chen Erbao had lost all interest in enjoying the river view. He took Lin Zhiqing and left the Lüjiang River area directly.

Only after Chen Erbao had left did Zhou Yuan finally walk over to Zhou Er's side.

Seeing his brother's broken finger and the blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, he was both shocked and furious. "Who was that man? What happened to you...?"

Zhou Er's expression darkened, and he explained the whole story from beginning to end.
