{Shigaraki’s POV}

I sit in a soft chair on a stage next to Re-Destro as I face our new minions who number 100,000 strong. I find myself smiling in anticipation behind my father’s dead hand as I see them through the gaps of his fingers, as I imagine the chaos we will reap upon Japan and those self-righteous, hypocritical heroes.

Re-Destro takes the floor in his high-tech wheelchair, “I am Re-Destro. It is a pleasure to see you all. From this moment, the Liberation Army recognizes Tomura Shigaraki as the grand commander.” Re-Destro leans forward and continues intensely, “Now, the name, please, Tomura Shigaraki:” I continue his thought seamlessly, “The Paranormal Liberation Front! We got rid of the term ‘villain’ and expanded on the meta angle to be more inclusive. The nine people on this stage are my lieutenants. Teams will be assigned to them based on our needs.” I reach for my father’s hand and continue as I remove it, “Anyway, the name is the same as this hand, a decoration. We will do what we want.

My army cheers at my words, and having this many soldiers fighting for my cause makes me feel even more powerful. I tortured myself with the doctor to make myself even stronger for this day for months, and it was worth the constant pain to embrace this moment. I look at my slightly decayed fingertips from my fight with Re-Destro, which leveled up my quirk, and I clench my fist, eager to bring an end to the age of heroes—bringing forth the age of chaos and destruction.

{Endeavor’s Perspective}

Tsukauchi called many heroes to the Police Force Headquarters for a briefing, and I, as the new number one, was among them. Tsukauchi shows us the doctor who is supposedly All For One’s most trusted and is responsible for creating the Nomu. Damn Nomu. I feel the scar on my face burn when I think of those wretched things. However, I am not sure this doctor is to blame. I ask after the heroes chime in with their thoughts, “How are you so sure that he is the one to blame, Tsukauchi?”

Tsukauchi responds while standing in front of the screen, continuing his brief, “I sent someone undercover after receiving intel from the Safety Commission. That undercover agent discovered a restricted area within the hospital. None of the staff were aware of its purpose. This off-limits area has one entrance through the morgue. Garaki is the only person who ever comes and goes from that restricted area. If you need more evidence…” Tsukauchi then clicks his remote to show a picture of Garaki and a tiny Nomu by his side, taken in the hospital.

Pixie-Bob gasps and puts her paws to her mouth, “Is that a tiny Nomu?!” Tsukauchi continues, “It would be easy to arrest Garaki since he is a public figure. However, if we act rashly, the Paranormal Liberation Front will enact countermeasures. The last thing we want is a repeat of the widespread devastation in Hosu or Kamino. Those events were very traumatizing for the public, and we lost too many good people from our side. Sure, we were able to detain All For One. But it was at a steep cost. All Might was forced to retire. Therefore, we will take on this threat with every available resource at our disposal.”

Tsukauchi clicks his remote to show a diagram as he continues, “First, we will split the pros into two groups. Team Endeavor will be responsible for securing Kyudai Garaki at Jaku Hospital. Team Edge Shot will storm the Gunga Mountain Villa that we believe to be the Paranormal Liberation Front’s hideout. These two events will occur simultaneously. In addition, hero course students will be deployed to provide logistical support to both teams. They will assist with civilian evacuations and rescue if the encounters start to escalate. In the worst-case scenario, the students will become our lifeline, since they are most proficient in Haki.”

He clicks his remote again to show a slide labeled Quirk Energy, with Quirkwalking, Observational, and Armament Haki below. The same Haki stuff that I have seen the children use, and he continues, “For this upcoming fight, we will need as many pros using Haki as possible. The Paranormal Liberation Front is ahead of the heroes at this time, according to our undercover agent, and we will need to step up to combat them. I have Principal Nezu here, who discovered Quirk Energy, to give those in attendance a brief on how to use Haki if you don’t already know how.”

Tsukauchi steps aside, and Nezu takes the floor and starts giving the heroes a briefing on Quirk Energy. I actually didn’t know how to use this Haki stuff. I tried asking Shoto, but he blew me off as expected. I haven’t pressed him about it since. It isn’t like I have any right to ask anything from him when I am responsible for a lot of his childhood trauma. I still have a lot of atonement to make on that front. I focus intently on that principal’s words as I soak up his knowledge.

The concept itself was simple; however, it takes immense concentration. Those children must have put in a lot of work to use it so freely. He advised us to start with quirk walking first and said that Cementoss would provide an indoor training facility for us to use freely, out of the villains' sight. We must get stronger without them realizing we are preparing for war, but we only have two to three weeks to master this.

We were escorted to the training facility, where Cementoss built several pillars, and the Principal stayed with us to guide anyone having difficulties. I have never thought about quirk energy before, other than how to use my flames. This takes a lot of focus, and I am surprised that the children can use it so easily.

A few heroes who have already been trained in Haki also float around and help, like Gang Orca, the Wild Wild Pussycats, all of the UA and Shiketsu high faculty, and even All Might. He is rolling around in that heavy-duty wheelchair at great speed, supporting the heroes' training, with that annoying smile on his face. He might not be the symbol of peace anymore, but he is still a role model for every hero here, and it irritates me. I am a great hero as well, but people don’t look up to me like they do for him. I don’t know what to do differently, and it is hard being compared to him at every step of the way.

I need to stop thinking about that damn musclehead and focus on the task at hand. I am standing with one foot pressed against the wall and sigh in frustration, and that foot makes a crater and propels me from it. My irritation got the better of me at that moment. I catch myself with my flames so I don’t crash and stand back up. It really startled me even though Nezu warned us about it. The rest of the heroes practicing this Haki stuff get startled by the noise, too. Though it was startling, it was refreshing to know that I am picking up on what Shoto learned so I can be a better hero. All of us heroes have a long way to go to be ready for this war with the Paranormal Liberation Front.

{Sekai’s POV}

Achoo!

Aya-chan pulls out a tissue and passes it to me. As I blow my nose, she places her hand on my forehead and says, “You are running a fever, Kai-chan. You probably should stay at the dorms and rest.” I shake my head and say, “I don’t want to drag you down, Aya-chan.” She smiles warmly and responds, “You never do. That is precisely why you are my sidekick. How did you even get sick anyway?” I shrug and say, “It was probably that extra that sneezed in the hallway yesterday.” I get up and get dressed, and Aya-chan passes me a mask so I don’t make anyone else sick. I groggily accept it and put it on.

My head feels like it is in a fog as I go downstairs. Aya-chan prepares breakfast for us, heating Deonte’s soup while preparing food for our friends, while I lie on the couch groaning.

I hate being sick.

Ashido comes into the community lounge area where I am lying out on the couch, and she says, “Are you sick, Sekai?” I respond sarcastically, a little grumpy since I don’t feel well, “No, I am just wearing a mask because it is in style right now.” She asks, “Are you going to go to class today?” I groan, quite tired of the inquiry, “That is why I am down here.

Aya-chan gets our friends their breakfast first, and Toru sees me on the couch, sits down next to me, and feels my forehead. “You have a fever, Sekai. Have you taken any medicine yet?” I shake my head, and Aya-chan chimes in as she goes back to check on our soup, “I was going to give it to her when she ate her breakfast.” She finishes heating our soup, brings it out to the communal area, and brings a tall glass of orange juice and a couple of pills.

I groan and ask her, “Is there really no liquid medicine? You know I hate pills.” I technically haven't had liquid medicine before, but I would rather down that bitter medicine quickly (and not gag) than take these large pills. She rubs my head, messing up my hair. “No, that is why I got you these.” I groan more and take the medicine first. I don’t want to take medicine with food in my stomach, just in case it goes down wrong, since taking pills makes me gag. Nobody in class has seen me take pills before since I avoid taking them in front of others besides Aya-chan, and they seem concerned. Yaomomo asks, “Are you ok, Sekai?” I nod as I finish struggling to get the second pill down and gulp down my glass of orange juice.

Aya-chan responds on my behalf, “She struggles taking pills.” I shiver in disgust after drinking my orange juice as an aftereffect of taking the pills. I start eating my soup immediately to help the pills go down and try to savor the gourmet flavors. Deonte has been slowly adding texture to the soups to get Aya-chan acclimated to normal food again, so it isn’t all liquid anymore. Soup while sick is hitting the spot right now. I can see why people normally eat it while sick. This is my first time having soup while sick, though, since I never had anyone who could take care of me before Aya-chan.

After eating, I put my mask back on, and we went to class. It takes everything to stay awake since my body wants to sleep to recover and my mind feels like it is in a fog. I couldn’t tell you the details of our first class today. All I knew was that it was Mathematics since I remember numbers and letters, but as for what was taught, I am at a loss. In our afternoon classes, we changed into our PE clothes and went to a training building with a steep artificial cliff that Cementoss had created. It looked intimidating while I was sick, since it seemed almost like an obstacle course designed for quirk-walking.

I must have made a face because Aya-chan said, “Don’t worry, Kai-chan. I won’t leave your side.” I nod groggily as I start quirk-walking up this cliff. It feels like the further I quirk-walk, the blurrier my vision becomes. I get past the first obstacle somehow, and as I am upside down on the second one, walking to the outer lip of an overhang that is very high from the ground, I lose my grip with my quirk-walk and start to fall.

I immediately lose consciousness.

{Ayaka’s POV}

When she fell from that quirk-walking obstacle course, she scared the shit out of me. Since I was by her side, I was able to catch her, and Mr. Aizawa had me take her to the infirmary. I can feel her burning up while holding her in my grasp. When she is sick, it seems like the sicker she gets, the more her scowl lessens. Almost like when she became drunk that one time in Russia. Her expression right now seems like a normal teenage girl. I would stare at it forever if I weren’t so worried about her health.

I quickly get her to the infirmary, and the nurse has me lie her down in a bed. I cover her with one of the thin blankets they have here, and the nurse prepares a bowl of ice water and brings me a washcloth to submerge in it and place on her forehead. She asks me, “When was the last time she took medicine?” I tell her, holding the washcloth with one hand and one of her hands with the other, “This morning.” The nurse says, “Then we will need to get her another dose when she regains consciousness.” I tell her as she walks to her medicine cabinet, “Do you have any liquid medicine? She struggles to take pills.” She nods, “Yeah, I should have some somewhere around here.”

After she says that, Kai-chan starts to stir, and she looks at me like she is in a daze and says, “Did I die? An angel who looks like Aya-chan has a halo shining above her beautiful dark purple hair is right here.” I blush, not anticipating those words coming out of her mouth when someone is witnessing it. There is a light behind me, which probably doesn’t help with her sick perception. I responded while booping her on the nose, “You are still alive. I didn’t know sick Kai-chan was such a smooth talker.” She pouted a little in a very adorable non-scowling fashion, “S-stop teasing me.Why does she have to be so fucking cute?

The nurse comes in with a paper cup filled with liquid cold medicine, and Kai-chan furrows her brow, adorably seeing it. I tell her, “Take the liquid medicine, or she is going to make you take the pills instead.” She adorably changes her tune, takes the cup, and downs it like the Russian dictator took shots of vodka. She sticks out her tongue afterward like a kid eating vegetables. I giggle and reach into her backpack and pull out a jawbreaker. I pop it in her mouth, and she accidentally uses her quirk to pop around the room in her delirium, ends up by me, and starts hugging me.

The nurse scolds Kai-chan, “Miss Mochizuki, lie back down and get some rest and stop using your quirk.” Kai-chan pouts and asks, “W-was I using my quirk?” I giggle, put her back in bed, pull the sheet back over her, and start applying the cold washcloth again. “Yes, and you looked drunk in the process.” She pouts more, “I am not drunk!” I ask the nurse, “Is there, by chance, alcohol in that liquid cold medicine? Kai-chan is a severe light weight when it comes to alcohol.”

The nurse giggles and says, “Yes, about 10 percent alcohol, but she is technically not drunk right now.” She collects herself from giggling and returns to work mode, “Liquid medicine can sometimes make sensitive individuals dizzy, loopy, and drowsy, which can be mistaken for symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. Was today the first time she has taken any cold medicine?” She has snot coming out of her nose like a snot-nosed brat, and it is quite cute. I take a tissue from my tattoo, clean her up, and have her blow her nose as I nod as I am smiling brightly at her adorable face. “Yes, I believe so. She didn’t have anyone to take care of her in the past and has never taken cold medicine before today.” The nurse responds, “I see. That confirms my hypothesis. She will need to take pills from now on to get the gradual release of the meds to prevent a reaction like this.” Kai-chan pouts more, “NO PILLS!

The nurse smirks, obviously holding back a laugh, while grabbing us some Kool-Fever sheets and handing them to me so I can make them into a tattoo, and says, “It may be best for her to return to the dorms so she can get proper rest in bed.” She goes to the corner of the infirmary where she has a few wheelchairs folded up, and she continues as she grabs one and wheels it to Kai-chan, “You can borrow one of our wheelchairs. Be sure to bring it back later.” I nod and help the nurse load Kai-chan into the wheelchair, then start pushing her to the dorms. She is so childlike when she is sick and suffering from side effects like this. I put the mask back on her, but she takes it off in a childlike manner and throws it aside. It may be best because otherwise she would be snot-nosed under the mask, and I won’t be able to see it to wipe it away.

As I am pushing her across campus, she looks like she is having fun and says, “Faster, Aya-chan! Giddy up!” I smile and ‘giddy up’ just as she adorably demanded. She loudly starts screaming in excitement, “WEEEEEEEEEE!” I couldn't hold back my laughter anymore, and we ran through the halls of UA. A few teachers yelled at us for running and making noise almost immediately.

Their classes were peeking through the doors to try and see what the commotion was about. I stopped Kai-chan immediately and bowed to the teachers in apology and said, “The nurse tasked me with taking her back to the dorms since she had an adverse reaction to her cold medicine that makes her loopy and disoriented. I am sorry I got carried away since she was so cute.” The teachers didn’t believe me and called the nurse to verify my story while Kai-chan was trying to wheel herself away. I gently bopped her and told her, “Just where do you think you are going?” She responded, still delirious and loopy, “I want to go fast again.”

I can’t help but smile at her being so fucking cute, and the classes eavesdropping are giggling as well. She is getting snotty again, so I pull out another tissue and have her blow her nose. The teachers seem to be off the phone with the nurse, and they tell me sternly, “Take her straight back to the dorms, and no more running and yelling in the halls. You are disturbing students trying to learn.” I bow again in apology, “We will, I promise. Sorry for disturbing your classes.”

When the teachers leave, Kai-chan says, “Now that the party-poopers are gone, let’s go fast again.” I smirk at her mischievousness and tell her as I push her slowly through the halls, “We can’t while inside.” She pouts, “But I want to go fast!” I reassure her while continuing to push her, “I will run with you when we get outside. How about that?” She brightens up like a child with a large beaming smile that I have never seen on her before that makes me feel so warm inside and she says, “Kay.” She is getting snotty yet again, so I temporarily stop pushing her and clean her up again.

As promised, I ran when we got outside, and she screamed in excitement the whole way to the dorms. I take her out of the chair at the steps and carry her the rest of the way inside and all the way up to our dorm.

I lay her down under the covers, get a Kool-Fever patch, place it on her forehead, and she sighs adorably in relief. I am probably going to get sick taking care of her like this, but it is totally worth it. She is just so fucking cute like this. How can everything she does like this be so fucking adorable? She looks up at me with a face burning red with fever and says, “I want to give you an orgasm.” I giggle and say, “Not like that, you aren’t. You can give me all of the orgasms when you get better.” She pouts and says, “B-b-but -” I put my finger to her lips and kiss her on top of her pink hair and say, “Go to sleep.” Before she can protest again, I get the bag of Garlic’s sleep powder and make her fall asleep.
