After eating, he asked the restaurant owner for a basin of water and splashed the dog awake.

"Fine," Li Yang agreed. "Two conditions. First, the one million for saving him this afternoon still hasn’t been paid. I want to see that money now. Second, I don’t feel like making a house call today. If you want him treated, you come to my place."

"No problem!" Qin Susu breathed a sigh of relief. "I’ll have my dad transfer the one million to you immediately. We’ll head over as soon as the transfer is complete."

Before long, a million was deposited into Li Yang’s account.

"Fine, here!" Relieved, Qin Gang pulled out two hundred, slapped it on the table, and hurried back to the car.

’If he had a choice, he would never speak another word to Li Yang for the rest of his life.’

The two got in the car and quickly left.

Li Yang tidied everything up and went home, the large dog in tow.

Li Yang tethered the big dog in the yard, where it looked a bit lonely.

Li Yang glanced back at it, suddenly intrigued. ’This beast really is too ferocious. It’s not normal.’

"You’re going to guard these fields for me!" Li Yang ordered, pointing to the vegetable plots behind the house. "Those are my treasures! You watch them and don’t let anyone steal anything!"
