After finishing the clothes shopping, Dominic Vance proceeded to drag Lucien over to the jewelry department.
Standing in front of the glass display counters showcasing precious gemstones, the man demanded that the staff bring out a tray of rings. Lucien had assumed Dominic Vance was merely buying them for fun, or perhaps purchasing a gift for some business partner, right up until he firmly grasped Lucien’s hand.
The gaze of the female staff member standing opposite them instantly changed as she looked at the two men. It was a look specifically reserved for couples preparing to walk down the wedding aisle, brimming with profound admiration and knowing understanding.
Dominic Vance completely ignored that meaningful gaze. He lowered his head, supporting Lucien’s hand with one of his own, while his other hand meticulously slid each diamond-encrusted ring onto the youth’s ring finger. Their skin brushed against one another, allowing them to feel the lingering warmth radiating from their flesh. Dominic Vance gently caressed the boy’s fingers, murmuring: "Your fingers are truly so small."
Having his hand held and repeatedly stroked back and forth by Dominic Vance, Lucien’s heart pounded wildly in his chest, his face flushing hot, unclear whether it was due to the system’s side effects or this bizarrely tender gentleness.
However, that rosy, romantic atmosphere did not manage to last for very long. Just as they stepped out of the jewelry section, the two of them unexpectedly ran into a familiar figure.
It was a wealthy playboy from the upper crust of society, who was also an acquaintance of the Trinh family. This young master was a friend of Miles Sinclair, back when Miles Sinclair and Dominic Vance had gotten engaged, this person had also been invited to attend.
And so, upon seeing Dominic Vance, the person intended to step forward and greet him. After all, he considered himself a friend of the future spouse of the Vance family. To be honest, for someone like him, simply getting acquainted with the heir of the Vance family would be enough to make him swell with pride.
However, he had only taken a few steps before coming to a sudden halt, because he saw that the person standing next to Dominic Vance was not his friend, but another young man. He recognized this youth, this was the older brother of Miles Sinclair, and the genuine young master of the Sinclair family.
Meanwhile, Miles Sinclair was merely an illegitimate child who had climbed the ranks; it was only because he was favored by Father Sinclair that no one dared to say anything about it.
His gaze shifted to the youth, then stopped at the dark red hickeys peeking out from behind the collar. The marks were very fresh, likely made just recently. The youth’s wrist was also adorned with an expensive bracelet... it seemed to be the finale item from the charity auction a few days ago, which had been purchased by the Vance family.
Most importantly, the hand of Dominic Vance was resting intimately on this youth’s waist.
The man’s expression immediately twisted, shifting from surprise to sheer shock. After all, he was a friend of Miles Sinclair, and seeing this scene naturally displeased him.
At this moment, Lucien also spotted this person, he gave a slight smirk and then very cooperatively lowered his head, pretending to shrink back unnaturally. That small action successfully stimulated the protectiveness of the man beside him.
Dominic Vance narrowed his eyes slightly. He also saw the young master standing in the distance. Obviously, Dominic Vance did not remember who this person was, but looking at the expression on the man’s face, he guessed it was an acquaintance of the Sinclair family. He did not care much, only that he disliked others staring intently at his person. A surge of possessiveness welled up, he nonchalantly tightened his embrace, pulling Lucien tightly against his chest, and without bothering to greet the man, directly turned his back and walked away.
Lucien thought Dominic Vance must certainly be crazy, and prone to sudden bouts of madness at that. He did not know what exactly about that young master had provoked Dominic Vance, but the man suddenly went mad, and instead of taking him to the garage to head home, he dragged Lucien into a nearby vacant VIP fitting room. The moment the door clicked shut, Dominic Vance pressed him forcefully against the freezing surface of the mirror and leaned down to kiss him fiercely on the lips.
He bit and gnawed at Lucien’s swollen red lips, sliding down to kiss along the slender neck, using his burning hot body to grind against Lucien through the rustling layers of clothing.
In this fitting room, besides the door, everything else was covered in mirrors, which roused the beastly instincts within Dominic Vance. One of his hands reached out, tightly gripping Lucien’s chin, forcing the youth to look up directly into the mirror.
"Look" He ordered in a hoarse voice, forcing Lucien to look at his own tear-filled eyes, flushed cheeks, and the amorous marks on his body peeking out in the reflection.
To be honest, Dominic Vance utterly adored this appearance of Lucien, obediently allowing himself to be bullied, only able to pant and lean limply against his body, looking no different from a puddle of spring water. But more importantly, all of these states from Lucien stemmed solely from his own trivial touches.
After kissing to the point where Lucien’s legs had lost all their strength, causing him to slowly slide down, Dominic Vance finally let him go. This man perhaps was gradually learning how to be a human instead of a dog, as he actually knew how to be gentle with Lucien this time. Dominic Vance gently supported him, his large hands skillfully smoothing out every sweat-drenched strand of hair, even buttoning Lucien’s shirt all the way to the top button to conceal the ambiguous marks, afraid that the youth would catch a cold once they went outside.
Lucien stared blankly at the man’s meticulous actions.
For some reason, occasionally Dominic Vance would exhibit states like this one... How to put it, sometimes Lucien felt that these actions did not seem like the man’s true self.
It was as if coming from nowhere, he would suddenly become incredibly tender towards him.
Or was the man truly being led blindly by him? Lucien blinked, not quite knowing the answer himself. Oh well, since he was already putting on an act, he might as well act until the very end. Thus, Lucien obediently wrapped his arms around the man’s neck, his voice soft as if he had not yet regained his strength: "Why were you so angry?"
"Do you know that person from earlier?" The man did not answer him, instead responding with another question.
Lucien pursed his lips, his voice dropping to a whisper: "That was... a friend of Miles Sinclair."
"Are you afraid?"
"They will gossip about you... after all, Miles Sinclair is the one who has a legal engagement with you."
"Who told you that?" Dominic Vance unexpectedly leaned down and scooped Lucien up into his arms: "An engagement does not come with paperwork, so there is no such thing as legal or illegal. I have already said it, this position originally belonged to you."
Just like that, the man carried Lucien toward the garage.
