The System Keeps Making Me Do Indecent Missions [BL, R18]
Chapter 61: A Breathtaking RetributionChapter 61: Chapter 61: A Breathtaking Retribution
Lucien gasped for breath, his hands clutching tightly onto the man’s arm as his legs began to tremble. His entire body was like a bowstring stretched to its absolute limit, just one more slight touch from Dominic Vance would cause it to snap entirely.
But Dominic Vance had no intention of stopping.
He slowly opened a document file on his laptop screen, his tone as casual as if he were reading a routine Monday morning report. With one hand, he scrolled the mouse cursor, while his other arm wrapped around Lucien’s waist, his fingers leisurely tracing circles over the hipbone protruding beneath the thin layer of sleepwear.
"Read it to me." He leaned down, his lips nearly grazing the shell of Lucien’s ear: "That first section."
Lucien glanced at the screen, secretly cursing that this lunatic really knew how to play wicked games, yet he had no choice but to indulge him.
The words swimming before his eyes were utterly blurred, and his mind simply could not muster any focus. He took a deep breath, trying his hardest to keep his voice steady: "The... third quarter financial report... of the conglomerate..."
Dominic Vance’s fingers slipped beneath his shirt. The palm of the man’s hand pressed flush against his abdomen, the warmth radiating from his skin acting like a potent poison that turned one completely limp. Lucien bit his lip, forcing himself to continue speaking: "The net profit... mm..."
The man’s lips pressed against his neck. A wet, lingering kiss was slowly planted over the delicate vein pulsing rapidly with the youth’s ragged breaths. Lucien trembled violently, his fingers clenching so tightly that his knuckles turned stark white.
"Dominic..." he whispered, his voice as soft and yielding as cotton: "I can’t... read it..."
"You can’t read it?" The man tilted his head, kissing the youth’s earlobe: "Then read it again. Try a few more times, and you will eventually get it."
Lucien gnashed his teeth internally.
This dog of a man was an absolute pervert. If you lived in ancient times, you would undoubtedly be an incredibly debauched and tyrannical emperor who ultimately got overthrown by his own citizens.
On the outside, however, he could only display a deeply flushed face, his eyelashes fluttering as his broken voice sounded as if he were on the verge of tears.
"The financial... report..."
Yet another kiss landed upon his collarbone. This time it was a gentle suck, instantly bringing a faint red bloom to the pristine, snow-white skin. Lucien shivered, his waist giving out so completely that he nearly slid right off the man’s lap. Dominic Vance chuckled softly, his arm wrapping even tighter around the youth’s waist to hold him firmly in place.
"Keep going."
"The third quarter... the conglomerate..."
Dominic kissed his shoulder, eliciting a tiny hiccup from Lucien. His toes curled tightly within the fluffy slippers, his thighs wracked by uncontrollable spasms of trembling. The system’s side effects were like a damned curse, transforming his body into a delicate instrument that automatically produced embarrassing, fragile sounds the moment Dominic Vance so much as grazed it.
"You are reading far too slowly," Dominic Vance noted, though his tone held no genuine trace of reproach. He thoroughly enjoyed observing Lucien’s reactions, watching him shiver, watching his eyes brim with tears, watching his lips tremble as they struggled to form disjointed words, looking exactly like a little kitten teased far past its breaking point.
It was only when the first document was scrolled all the way to the final page that Dominic Vance finally let him off the hook. But truthfully, it was not a complete release. He merely transitioned from kissing to hugging, keeping one hand anchored on the youth’s waist while the other hand used the mouse to open a completely different folder.
Then, his hand paused.
Lucien sensed the subtle shift in the man’s posture. The body that had been entirely relaxed suddenly went rigid for a fleeting second. He peeked at the screen and saw a photograph of a nightclub’s storefront, emblazoned with glaring red neon signs.
"This nightclub..." Dominic Vance spoke up, his fingers lightly tapping the keyboard to magnify the image: "This is the very place currently owned by that blond ringleader from back then."
He kept scrolling.
Pages of documents materialized, densely packed with text alongside candid, secretly taken photographs. Lucien caught fleeting glimpses of ledgers, strings of notes concerning illicit drugs, underage girls, and the underground gambling rings operating securely behind iron doors at the very end of the basement corridor.
Before Lucien could even ask what the man intended to do, Dominic Vance pressed a kiss to the shell of his ear. "If I vent your anger on your behalf, do I get a reward?"
It was framed as a question, but it seemed Dominic Vance required no actual answer. He pulled out his phone and made a call to someone.
The other end picked up after barely a single ring.
"I’ve reviewed the files you sent. Forward them directly to the authorities. Use a proxy’s name to tip off the market regulation bureau for a raid. I want the news of this nightclub being swept for prostitution and narcotics plastered across the front pages tomorrow, do you understand?"
His swift, decisive series of actions left Lucien, whose mind was still thoroughly clouded by the man’s earlier erotic teasing, entirely unable to process what was happening in time. It wasn’t until Lucien saw the profiles of the second and third individuals who had bullied the original owner appear on the screen that he finally understood...
This man truly intended to exact vengeance on his behalf.
Every single dossier was followed by another phone call, and Lucien had no idea why the man insisted on doing it this way. He could have obviously given all the instructions at once, couldn’t he? Lucien thought hazily to himself, deciding that the man was probably just putting on a grand show for him to witness...
"That guy’s old man has been evading taxes for seven consecutive years. Send the hard evidence straight to the taxation bureau. Let them sort him out themselves."
"As for the one who beats his wife, send all the video and photographic proof to a law firm. The wife wishes for a divorce; we will sponsor all of her litigation fees in full. While you’re at it, mail an extra copy to the company he works for."
"That other one has been embezzling company funds. Have someone anonymously submit the evidence to their internal audit committee."
To be completely honest, listening to Dominic Vance dish out instructions to his subordinate didn’t make Lucien think he was cool at all; rather, he felt as if he were watching an immature brat desperately trying to show off. He was supposedly an overbearing CEO male lead, so why was he acting so much like a little child?
Despite his inner mockery, when Dominic Vance concluded his final call, Lucien still obediently raised his head to look at him, stammering with tear-filled eyes, "I... about this..."
"I already told you, I will help you get revenge."
...
The following afternoon, Dominic Vance led Lucien out onto the balcony to enjoy some tea. The man had some business to attend to at the company that morning, so Lucien buried himself in bed and slept the entire day away. He didn’t know what on earth this man had done, but all the servants in the household had been swapped out, and Miles Sinclair hadn’t returned home in the last few days either.
However, Lucien didn’t really care much about any of that. He had been planning to sleep right through until the late afternoon, only to be dragged away for afternoon tea by Dominic Vance, who had just returned from the office. The spring breeze still carried a lingering chill, bringing with it the damp, earthy scent left behind by the previous night’s rainfall. Dominic Vance poured him a cup of jasmine tea, its wispy white steam curling gracefully into the pale golden glow of the afternoon sun.
"How did you manage to survive that period of time?"
Lucien knew the man was inquiring about the phase right after he had been kicked out, back when his ear had just been injured. Thus, he lowered his eyes, remaining wrapped in a long stretch of silence. The breeze swept past, causing his soft hair to sway gently and conceal half of his face. Then, he let out a faint smile, a smile utterly devoid of any warmth whatsoever.
"I truly thought I was going to die."
"But in the end, I simply couldn’t die. For humans, the most profound instinct of all is the desperate desire to stay alive."
"Struggling pathetically, swallowing the humiliation, drowning in all sorts of filth and degradation, yet still blindly thrashing about just to survive."
Dominic Vance didn’t say a word, but the hand gripping his teacup tightened to the point where his knuckles turned deathly white. A moment later, he set the teacup down, stood up, and pulled Lucien into his embrace.
Lucien figured this was probably the man’s own awkward way of offering comfort. He didn’t say anything further either, choosing to quietly lean against Dominic’s chest, listening to a heartbeat that was thudding notably faster than usual.
Lucien thought to himself, if the original owner had someone to share the burden with back then, someone to hold him like this, perhaps he wouldn’t have fallen into such profound despair.
