At Gu Su’s command, five White Crows flew out from the vast white flock, their wingbeats light and synchronized.

One of them was the first to dive, landing steadily on Gu Su’s shoulder. Its cold feathers brushed against his neck, carrying a trace of the unique, chilling aura of the Undead.

Immediately after, a line of light blue system text appeared before Gu Su’s eyes.

[Crow’s Caw (Level 1, Summoned Creature, Undead Boss): Experience (0/200), Attack 0, Defense 3, Life 25, Talent: Basic Wisdom].

"My lord."

A crisp, slightly hoarse voice sounded by his ear. Its tone was respectful, completely lacking the rigidity of a common Undead.

Gu Su understood instantly. He knew he had successfully subjugated this White Crow Minion, and that it could now act as his representative for all of them.

He decided to skip his previous questions, turning to Crow’s Caw on his shoulder and asking directly, "Where is your Battle Banner? What’s the specific situation with the White Crows? And your Minions—what are their special characteristics?"

Crow’s Caw fluttered its wings, tilted its head slightly, and explained in a tone that was both helpless and reasonable.

"My lord, we’re only so big. With our small frames, if we also had to carry a Battle Banner, forget leading the squad—it would be hard to tell who was carrying whom.

That’s why we White Crows have never had a Battle Banner.

But rest assured, my lord. If you need anything, just call for me. I will always stay by your side, ready for your orders at any time."

Gu Su glanced down at the small White Crow on his shoulder, then turned to look at the not-so-small, blue, triangular flag behind Bone Ash in the distance. The contrast made him laugh.

Crow’s Caw was telling the truth. That Battle Banner was large enough to wrap up at least three White Crows; it really wasn’t suited for these small Undead.

After his laugh, he composed himself and asked again, "So, how many White Crows are there in total right now? And how is the work divided among them?"

"My lord, because enough corpses were sent over previously, we now have a total of four hundred and fifty White Crows.

Among them, one hundred and fifty are my personal guard. They are responsible for staying close to me and following your urgent commands, my lord.

The other four Minions each lead seventy-five White Crows and are responsible for different tasks."

Crow’s Caw answered systematically, clearly displaying the advantage of its Basic Wisdom Talent. Its logic was clear and not at all confused.

It paused for a moment before continuing its introduction. "My Talent is Basic Wisdom, which allows me to communicate normally with you, my lord. It also lets me coordinate the four Minions and manage the entire White Crow flock.

My personal guard is mainly responsible for light tasks like relaying information and delivering messages. They also possess a degree of wisdom, so there will be no errors in their transmissions."

As it spoke, Crow’s Caw raised its head, signaling for the four other White Crows beside it to come forward.

"These four are our Minions. Their names are Stinging Eyes, Drilling Mountain, Gale, and Luck.

They each have different Talents and different roles.

Stinging Eyes’s Talent focuses on eyesight. Its vision is extremely sharp, allowing it to clearly see fist-sized objects on the ground from high in the sky. It’s best suited for reconnaissance and locating targets.

Drilling Mountain has a powerful flight Talent. Its body is even more agile than ours, able to fly freely through narrow pipes and crevices. It’s suited for exploring hidden places.

Gale’s movement speed and range are the greatest among all of us White Crows. It’s three times faster than a normal White Crow and excels at rapidly delivering urgent messages and performing wide-area patrols.

Luck’s Talent is the most peculiar, but also the most practical. If there’s something specific you wish to find, my lord, just send Luck out to search. It can always rely on its Talent to find what you need."

After Crow’s Caw finished introducing the four Minions one by one, the four White Crows beside it all fluttered their wings and let out soft caws, as if bowing to Gu Su.

The only problem was, these White Crows looked identical. There wasn’t the slightest difference in their build, feathers, or the ghostly light in their eye sockets.

Gu Su stared for a long time but couldn’t tell which one was Stinging Eyes and which was Luck. In the end, he had to give up. ’Anyway, when I need them later, I’ll just have Crow’s Caw sort it out.’

Gu Su didn’t stay idle, however. He immediately issued a command to the White Crow Squad, telling them to go out and explore freely, familiarize themselves with the surrounding environment, and gather useful information.

He gave only Luck a separate command.

He was in urgent need of an item to complete the Earth-Binding Vein mission, so he had Luck use its Talent to see if it could find anything.

Upon receiving Gu Su’s command, Crow’s Caw immediately let out a sharp caw, issuing the order to move out.

In an instant, the four hundred and fifty White Crows scattered with a ROAR. The dense sound of their flapping wings was like a white gale as they flew in all directions away from the Graveyard Demon. In the blink of an eye, they vanished into the distant shadows, leaving only Crow’s Caw and a few of its personal guard perched near Gu Su and on the branches of the Deceitful Tree.

Gu Su stood his ground, his gaze sweeping over the Withered Wood Forest and the surrounding walls. He happened to notice that the White Crows seemed to have already established a clear territorial hierarchy.

Crow’s Caw and its personal guard had directly occupied the highest, most conspicuous Deceitful Tree, perching steadily on its branches like sentinels guarding their domain.

The remaining White Crows that hadn’t gone out were perched in neat rows on the dead branches of the Withered Wood Forest or on the railings of the walls. Everything was orderly. Not a single crow even thought of approaching the Deceitful Tree, clearly accepting it as the exclusive territory of Crow’s Caw and its guard.

Gu Su merely gave them a passing glance and paid no further mind to this small detail.

’The Undead have their own order. As long as it doesn’t affect my missions or lead to infighting, I don’t care about such trivial matters.’

At that moment, his gaze returned to the battlefield, and a new hesitation surfaced in his mind.

After some allocation, over seventy ordinary Kobold corpses remained before him. These bodies couldn’t be turned into Walking Dead like the Kobold Warriors, nor could they be converted into Magic Skeletons like the Kobold Warlocks.

The ranks of the four hundred and fifty White Crows had also been replenished, so he didn’t need to use corpses for Summoning them anymore. What to do with so many bodies without being wasteful became Gu Su’s most pressing problem.

After a moment of hesitation, just as Gu Su was about to use Soul Summoning on all the remaining Kobold corpses to turn them into Skeletons, Crow’s Caw landed in front of him again.

"My lord, it seems there’s news from the Bone Forest."

"Oh? How do you know?" Gu Su asked, a little confused.

"My personal guard has already made contact with the Bone Forest and has compiled the intelligence from over there."

Crow’s Caw said proudly.

Only then did Gu Su understand what Crow’s Caw meant when it said its personal guard had a degree of wisdom and was suited for relaying messages.

’This is just a little bit slower than making a phone call, isn’t it?’
