Nathalie Quinlan put on her duckbill cap and walked over.
Alfred Garland was moving a suitcase when he saw Nathalie and greeted her, "Ms. Quinlan, are you done packing?"
"No."
Nathalie replied, casually pressing down on the brim of her cap, walked to the sofa, picked up a bottle of water, turned slightly, and leaned against the sofa. She asked, "Want to go have dinner together tonight?"
"With whom?" Sadam Vinson was intrigued, got up excitedly, and said, "Nathalie, your friend?"
Nathalie nodded, thought for a moment, and explained, "An elder, you should know them."
"Who?" Sadam asked casually, then paused, subconsciously feeling he might not know better.
After all, he’d seen Nathalie’s ’friends’ before.
Each one is more extraordinary than the last.
As for the elders, he reckoned they were also those of formidable backgrounds.
Before he could say anything, the girl spoke in a calm tone, "Nicholas Fuller, someone from The First Research Institute."
Sadam’s mouth gaped wide, looking at the girl with a complex expression, nearly dropping his jaw.
Of course, he knew Nicholas Fuller was from The First Research Institute!
In Inderia, who doesn’t know Nicholas Fuller is the director of The First Research Institute?
Is Nathalie going to have dinner with Nicholas Fuller tonight?
Nathalie was recalling what Nicholas had said to her on the phone, and casually added, "Besides him, a few others might come, all from The First Research Institute. The head of the Level 8 laboratory, Orson Saban, will also be there. Going?"
Sadam didn’t even want to ask who else, quickly replying, "Going!"
He got up from the sofa and said to the girl, "When are we leaving? I’ll go back to my room and change clothes."
Nathalie took out her phone and glanced down, "Six o’clock."
Sadam checked the time too, nodded, and said, "Then there’s time, I’ll go change my clothes. Nathalie, wait for me a moment, huh."
"Okay." Nathalie naturally crossed her arms and walked over, sitting down boldly on the sofa and took out her phone to play, as if saying, "Go ahead."
Sadam hurried back to his room to wash his face and change clothes.
Amadeus Yancey just happened to come down from upstairs; it was evident he had just taken a shower as he had already changed into fresh clothes, looking handsome.
He walked downstairs to the girl, seeing that she was playing a game there.
He moved to the water dispenser to pour a warm glass of water using a glass cup, then returned, waiting for the girl to finish her game.
Amadeus handed her the glass along with the medication, "You haven’t taken your medicine today. Here’s the water, take the medicine first."
Nathalie looked at the white pills he poured out and the glass cup handed to her, her brow twitched, reluctantly reaching out, slowly saying, "I think I’m already fine, I don’t need to keep taking this."
"That’s not allowed." Amadeus was particularly assertive on this matter, completely ignoring what she said, handing her the medicine and looking like he watched her take it, "When the doctor says you’re completely well, you can stop taking the medicine. If he doesn’t say you’re well, you must obediently take it."
Nathalie looked at the pills in her hand, furrowing her brows, displeased, "I’m also a doctor!"
"A doctor can’t treat herself." Amadeus handed her the water again, his voice low and rich, "Try the water temperature."
"..." Nathalie was helplessly handed the cup by him, tilted her head back and swallowed the medicine in one go, then drank some water to moisten her throat.
Seeing her obediently take the medicine, Amadeus magically produced an orange candy from somewhere, unwrapped it, and plopped it into her mouth, his eyes deep and filled with gentle warmth, "Sweet."
